Pros: Had plenty sheets and towels. Neighbor were okay and friendly. Close to beach. Front and back decks up to date.

Stressed but nice location

Location is very nice. Property is in need of an extreme deep clean. I can deal with old, but not dirty. Ceiling fans and light fixtures were covered in dust and bugs. Carpets stained with sand burrs stuck in them from previous rental. We got stuck multiple times walking barefoot on the carpet. Bathtub fixtures were movable in the tub unit (spaces for roached to enter) Living room furniture was nice. Bedroom furniture in need of major paint to freshen old furniture. Mattresses were horrible. Guests are expected to clean all dishes and put away, but cleaning crew obviosuly doesn't check. We had to wash each dish or pot before we used them. Main purpose of this trip was to spend time with family which we did and enjoyed our time at Oak Island. Just wish this rental unit was CLEANED properly and minimal maintenance to keep updated.
