Experience the charm of our beautifully remodeled Topanga guesthouse, where modern updates meet cottage style. With a brand-new kitchen featuring a dishwasher and a refreshed bathroom, plus freshly painted interiors, this guesthouse offers both comfort and style. Vaulted ceilings, cozy French doors, and mountain-view decks create a serene atmosphere, while a cozy loft bedroom with a queen bed and a living room with a pull-out queen sofa bed provide ample space.

Step outside to enjoy the waterfall pool, year-round Jacuzzi, and lush rose garden. Nestled in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, our property is ideal for hiking or biking along scenic trails, yet just minutes from the beach. Malibu is a 15-minute drive, Santa Monica is 15 minutes away, and the beach is only 8 minutes down the road—making this the perfect place to enjoy both mountains and ocean in one day.

We pride ourselves on maintaining a pristine guesthouse, ensuring it's spotless and ready for your arrival. Please note, the pool is unheated from October 1st to June 1st, though the Jacuzzi is available year-round. Our property is in a peaceful neighborhood, so we kindly ask that guests refrain from hosting parties or loud gatherings. The host was very responsive and friendly. We loved being under a peaceful canopy of trees with the pool right outside the door. We even had a small frog visit us in the morning! I would stay there again when visiting Los Angeles.

Quaint and comfortable pool house in Topanga Canyon within a short drive to LA and Malibu.

Rachel was great and kept in touch with us throughout our stay. Would definitely rent this little hideaway again.

Fun in Topanga!

Cozy spot that has it all!

A short weekend getaway lead us to this beautiful little guest house with easy, private access to a hot tub! Clean, unique and close to the beach, and all the fun Topanga Canyon has to offer. Highly recommended!

Quiet, pretty spot with easy access to everything!

I so enjoyed our stay at this location. I had to work in LA, and also wanted to do some sightseeing in Santa Monica. This location was a perfect jumping off point, which let you be close *enough* and yet feel like you’re getting away from it all.

Wonderful Experience

My wife and I stayed at the property with our dog for two nights. This property was perfect, away from the chaos of Santa Monica and Malibu, nestled in the quiet mountains of the Canyon… but only a few minutes drive to everything. We were able to enjoy all that the property had to offer.

Beautiful property, helpful host

This little cottage was perfect for my husband and two little boys. We arrived late and tired after a long day at Universal Studios to a warm and cozy place ready for our arrival. We took a quick drive down to Topanga beach to play for the day. We enjoyed the spa and the beautiful views. We brought in groceries and cooked dinner together in the little kitchen. The host was very good at communicating and we felt very taken care of. We would stay again.

A Gem

This cozy, romantic, 2 store cottage house is only 20 minutes drive from LA downtown. The hosts are super nice, easy checking and communication. Kitchen has good utilities. Pool and hot tub clean, ready to jump in! We are definitely consider another stay next time visiting LA.

Perfect in every way - even better than the pictures

The hot tub and pool area is too die for and the location is even better. Topanga seems so far away from the stress of LA and yet you are minutes from the beach and Santa Monica or Malibu. The house was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We loved the quiet neighborhood in the hills and relaxing by the pool in between trips to be beach. Perfect getaway. Rachel and Gregory were perfect hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. I wish we could have stayed here longer as it was so relaxing and perfect.

These People are not ready to have VRBO guests

We recently rented this guest house for one week.We have been renting from VRBO for 15 yrs.Great experiences until now. The property was not private as advertised, but at the end of the driveway, where the children play basketball very close to our outside sitting area. The property was dirty with cob webs, children's toys, broken landscape lights around the yard and pool area. Worn rusted uncomfortable pool side furniture. The outdoor grill in front of their kitchen was filthy and the washer and dryer are in their house where we had to compete with their dirty laundry. The owner let her dogs run freely on our property and walked them on our property several times a day. They have no concept of privacy, comfort or cleanliness for their guests. She even texted us one day when we were out and asked us to let her dog into their house when we got home. These people are not ready to have VRBO guests. They don't quite get the concept of hosting people on their property.

The location is fantastic, only a few minutes away from Santa Monica but up in the hills so it looks completely remote. The view is insane! The pool and hot tub were wonderful, we actually ended up spending both afternoons just lounging around and swimming. The beds (including the sofa bed) were very comfortable. This would be an ideal location for a couple, and served as an excellent home base for our family also. We have two kids, one elementary and one middle school age; they shared the sofa bed.

Although close to the city we felt worked away with the beautiful garden, pool, jacuzzi, and best of all - quiet! Rachel is an outstanding and responsive host, and our dog loved meeting her dogs. So relaxing

Booked this cute little place for a staycation with some friends and it was perfect. Super quiet and relaxing while also not being super far from the city. The spa and pool were lovely and the star gazing we did on the deck at night was incredible. I will 100% be rebooking in the future with my family. Plus if you’re a fan of dogs, you might just be greeted by a golden retriever in the morning (but don’t worry if you’re not, Rachel was a great host and will make sure they’re out of the way of you need)

Quiet in Topanga

If you are looking to get away from the noise and get back to serene nature , this property is for you. We enjoyed quiet morning walks with the views and charm of Topanga Canyon. Property was relaxing and cozy. The property owners attentive when needed and great hosts. Highly recommend for a peaceful get away.
