The Barge itself is a great vessel and well modified. However, the decks had not been cleaned for quite awhile and the interior was full of bug carcasses. Now, if you have ever stayed overnight on a vessel, on a river, you know to expect bugs. It would be proper to clean them up though, especially in your VRBO offering. The same goes for spiders and spiderwebs. My biggest sadness comes from the fact that I was looking forward to the stay here. No A/C? Not a problem. But, you should have at least one fan to move the air around. I don't want to sound like a spoiled American but, most people who have stayed in a tent, boat or RV know how hot they can get. We sadly visited during a remarkable heat wave. The barge has plenty of windows but, only screen on 2 small potholes in the master bedroom. The rest are open to the world and the bugs and spiders. The management suggested we leave the windows open, which we did. Then at dusk the place filled with mosquitoes and bugs. Needless to say, the night was very long and we left the next morning. This would be a great place in cooler months. Also, don't count on the management to help or be generous at all if there are problems during the stay.
