Just wish the ac was running when we got there and didn’t smell of mold the whole time.
Other than that everything was great. Fishing was a plus of the dock, kayaks were used. We rented a John boat and went exploring. Rogers park was nice too. So close to Buccaneer bay.
Grill worked great but burned the wood block it was on. Neighbor was upset the wood was blowing smoke in her yard. Maybe get a grill table.
Inside/Outside fridge was stocked with all the essentials.
Checkin process was great. Upon checking in the house smelled like someone smoked in it previously. The air filters were not clean i cleaned two of them. I was unaware one of the bedrooms didn’t have an air conditioner in it. But we were able to make do. The back yard was perfect. All in all we enjoyed our stay. Just not the smell
We had a wonderful stay at Mud River Fish Camp. We were on the river most of the trip. The house is large and had plenty of room for the 4 of us.
The only issue we had was upon checkout. We reached out to the owner several times but have still not received any response on how we left the home. We wanted to make sure we left everything as expected. Did the towels, swept up and cleaned everything but still dont know if we did something to upset them.
They were very nice upon check in and we were very appreciative.
Things that I liked.: Very clean, excellent internet and many streaming apps on the TVs. Very comfortable beds. Jacuzzi Tub. Excellent location for fishing and kayaking. And Tessa is a pleasure to work with. Please know that the description is very accurate: when it says: “It’s rustic with minor imperfections.” One imperfection is very noticeable on your initial walkthrough. The floor in the master bedroom. However, you quickly get use to it and won’t notice it.

Overall experience
I would give this place a 3. The place was very clean. There were several things that we had issues with. The inside had a very musty smell as soon as you walked in. The air conditioners were window units and had issues cooling the bedrooms. One bedroom didn't have an air conditioner at all, and it was warm even for Feb. One of the units only blew out semi-cool air. Thank goodness we found a fan for the bedroom that didn't have an air conditioner at all. The shower/tub in the master bath was interesting. It was a garden tub with a shower head in the middle but no shower curtain and no step to get in the tub/shower. The floors in a couple of places had buckled so you had to be careful when you walked on them. The electrical breaker shut off 2 times while using the blow dryer. A couple of the bedroom doors would not close, so we had to place a bag in front of the door to keep it closed. I also think a hand rail coming in the front door would be a good idea. The place was clean and had no insects. I would not stay here again.
