One of our favorite vacation spots ever! We enjoyed kayaking, we rented GoBoats, and enjoyed the Weeki wachee state park which was just down the road. The last night on our dock we actually saw a dolphin swim by. We also saw lots of manatees, turtles and birds. We really enjoyed how close this property was to the really clear water. The house was PERFECT, VERY CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE.
The house was very nice and clean, location was great! Everything we needed was was there . We enjoyed floating on the water right off the dock and we did see manatee right off the dock would highly recommend this place!!
This was our second trip and it was wonderful! Very clean and great fishing. Needs a water hose in back area to clean off deck and a curtain on sliding glass door. Had problems with main bathroom door closing. Overall we look forward to visiting next year. Great place
It was great for us. It was myself and grandson. I would recommend renting a boat just because the current is rough. They supplied Kayaks and we did use them and it was so much fun. I would go again and would stay here
We enjoyed our stay. The home was nice and clean. We only wished that the checkout was later, at 11 so we didn't have to set an alarm and feel rushed to clean up and leave. We would have liked to have had an extra hour to relax by the water before leaving. All else was good.
We stayed at this property for 4 days and loved every minute. The location is close to the springs and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The house was very clean and had everything you may need while you stay. We spent most of our time kayaking or floating in the canal behind the house. We saw so many manatees I lost count. One day two baby manatees were playing in our canal for more than half the day. It was adorable to see how playful they are. We also saw dolphins and lots of turtles. We can’t wait to come back.
Everything about this place is great. Location is awesome. Not far from everything, but far enough it's quiet and peaceful. Met the cleaning lady( which I might add came out on a Sunday to try to help) do to the fact that the TV remote was missing. She was great as well. Communication with the home owners was also great. They over nighted 2 brand new remotes and a box of batteries. Sitting under the bocks shelter while it rained for a day was so relaxing as well. Would stay here again.
I can not say enough about this property. Lisa was amazing to work with making sure to answer all my random questions. The house is perfect for what we needed. The beds are comfortable and everything that i needed was supplied. the back yard is amazing and the place that we spent the majority of our time. The dock is awesome for hanging out on the river. we had manatee come right up to our dock. Also i was originally looking for something on the main river but after seeing the traffic on the river I'm so glad we were on a canal that is close enough to the main river to be there in 2 minutes. thank you Lisa for allowing us to make these awesome memories in your home. I would recomend this property to anyone that is looking for an awesome quiet relaxing weekend on the river!!!

Disliked: Check-in, communication, location
ten days away from home
No info provided regarding wifi or operation of the heat and cooling systems. Called the agent who only replied by text. Used you tube to learn how to operate heat system. One chair in house other than kitchen chairs. Only one dish towel. No phone coverage for att. Thankfully my son had verizon.
Older Florida home located on Weeki Wachee canal. Home has some modern touches. VRBO pictures and amenities match what we experienced. Because it was an older home with what appears to be several additions, there is some sloping of the floors but not bothersome. There is a single step into each of the bedrooms which I did notice in the pictures. Bed mattress was softer than what we like but we still were able to enjoy restful sleep. Neighbors were very nice.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay. Family used the kayaks and paddleboards the owners provided. Our dog (and us too) loved watching the birds in the area. We didn't see manatees in the canal but did in other locations. Location is close to shopping & restaurants. Other areas like Tampa, Crystal River, Withlacochee, etc. are within reasonable driving range.
The overall impression of the property is excellent. There were 2 glitches in our stay:
1.) The first day of our stay was the coldest day of the year with a low temperature of 28 degrees. The place is heated and cooled by 3 units. When we entered the building only the unit in the big bedroom was working. The other 2 units had an error code of E07. It took a while to figure out what the symbols on the unit meant and turn off /on, then reset the heat on with the remote controls. A guide for working the remotes is needed.
2.) I was unable to take a warm shower the first 24 hours we were there. It took about a day to get a response from the landlord about this issue. The showers hot and cold plumbing is reversed and we hadn’t run the shower long enough in the full cold setting to get the hot water to come through. Please remark the hot/cold settings, leave a note somewhere, or have the plumbing correctly connected.
We had 2 adults and 6 grandchildren and had a blast. The house was very clean and was very well supplied with games and all the necessities (except we could have used more pillows and blankets) and the AC was ice cold! The kids really enjoyed the kayaks and swimming and jumping off the dock into the canal. It’s very conveniently located near Weeki Wachee, the bowling alley and all the good places to eat.
Had a great stay. There was enough room for my family of 7 and my fur babies. The new addition to the house was a bonus. The little game table was so much fun. We did have a little problem the first night with the trundle bed and the oven, but Lisa responded right away and offered to fix any issues we had. We saw Manatees every day. Had a mama manatee and babies right by the house. The icing on the cake was when we saw a dolphin swim by as we were enjoying the backyard. The kayaks were great. Enough kayaks for all of us to go out at the same time. We enjoyed every moment. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
The location is awesome, super convenient to get to the river. Plenty of room for 3 teens and two adults. We used all the kyacks. One filled up a bit with water so we were glad there were others to use instead. Had a great trip, would rent this again, and we loved being able to bring the dog with us.
Ground level, spacious, great location, excellent pricing
From the outside, the ground level [a real bonus feature for us 70 year olds!) home looks small. But inside, it is so spacious and well planned out. The step up into each front bedroom was a few inches higher than a normal step, but as advertised and posed no real issue when used carefully. Having 2 1/2 modern, well placed bathrooms is a real plus. There are 3 separate seating areas that suit different needs. The house is fresh, clean and newly remodeled. The master ensuite is isolated from the living area which gives it privacy. Having a washer and dryer to use was so convenient. The kitchen is spacious and suited we 3 couples and 2 additional family members. The covered deck right on the river was a real bonus. As was the floating dock with plenty of kayaks. We played games at the comfortable seating area and fished right from the deck.We watched dolphins right in the canal and a mama manatee with 2 calves lingered and fed directly alongside the deck. We watched them within feet! Such a treat! Turtles swam in front daily. We enjoyed the firepit for an evening of game playing. Overall, we couldn't have chosen a better Host, location or home for our 5 sister, 3 brothers-in-law, a nephew and a grandson reunion. We had so many vehicles due to coming from 5 different areas a boat trailer to park, but Lisa gave us clear instructions on how to fit them all in the driveway and front yard, which was greatly appreciated. Don't miss out on this great home!
The property was very clean (appreciate that as we had some really unfortunate experiences in the past) It had everything we needed in the kitchen, extra blankets for bedrooms, and plenty of towels. The area was close to both grocery and bait stores:) We had a great time kayaking on the river and the dock was perfect for my son’s fishing passion, plus the outside area was big enough when we had friends visit.Lisa (the owner) was very communicative, again very appreciative of that:) Had a great stay and would warmly recommend!
This is our second time staying at this property and we had a great time. Our favorite spot would be the covered dock where we fished, swam, manatee watched, and enjoyed the week.
Nice small rental on the canal.
Old house that is remodeled nicely.
I wished the beds were more firm, as both my brother and I had a little bit of a hard time sleeping as they were saggy.
Mini split units did not work even after calling the owner for instructions, the compressor would not come on.
All in all the house worked for us, although we were a little chilly one night and a little hot a couple nights later.
Although all members of our party were not able to make it we had an awesome time! First time kayaker and the outside dock area makes you feel like not leaving!
We will definitely be returning next year!!
