wake up to Mermaids in the pool? Dogs welcome. Any size. But must be friendly and well behaved.
Mermaid Manor is a 4 bedroom, 3 bath pool home. Heated pool with built in seats is completely enclosed under enormous screened lanai. Lanai has lots of gathering space with loungers, dining tables and a gas grill. We have kayaks, life vests and paddles to explore the beautiful clear springs and watch the manatees. Yard is completely fenced. The docks, pool, lanai and entire house is for you and your family to enjoy privately. Only eco-friendly pest control products are professionally applied. We are trying to provide our guests with a carefree, healthy environment so they can concentrate on rest and relaxation. Our home comes with a fully equipped kitchen. all linens, towels, shampoo and soap, and even beach towels. Just about anything you would normally use in your home. Two flat screen TV's, and high speed internet.
There is on site parking for your boat trailer. The boat launch is less that 1 mile away at Rogers Park which also has a sandy beach.
Our home is on a 100 ft waterfront bulkhead located on a deep canal with direct access to the Weeki Wachee river and only 20 minute idle to the gulf. 7 minute car ride to the Pine Island Beach to watch beautiful sunsets.
There is an abundance of local waterfront restaurants that afford plenty of opportunity to cater to just about every taste. If this property is unavailable during the time you hoped, I have other Weeki Wachee vacation homes that might fit your needs. If you want a beautiful pool and be able to paddle the clear Weeki, this is your choice.

Dan was very easy to work with, making the logistics easy. We loved the outdoor spaces and spent a lot of our time around the pool. Easy access to kayak with manatees and dolphins.

Great time as always

Love this area, been coming here for years. The house is comfortable, the pool is amazing and the kayaks will get you to the crystal clear waters of the Weeki Wachee in 5 minutes. Love watching the manatees and swimming in the river. Great restaurants nearby. Try Cody's steak house. Food amazing and the owners are great!!! As always, we will be back

Relaxing and enjoyable

We stayed in this property for my 40th Birthday with my family and my son who brought one of his friends (17) we all had a very relaxing time. We also brought our two dogs. The home was clean and plenty of room for 6 of us and dogs. Beds were super confortable and the AC works amazingly on the hot afternoons. The kayaks were wonderful ammenity to have but i highly recommend renting a boat to tour the river. The pool was a the cherry on top at the end of the long days on the river. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need toncook. Would stay there again for sure.

Another great year!

This is our second year staying at Mermaid Manor and 5th year in Weeki Wachee for 4th of July. By far our favorite house to rent. Our daughter loves the pool & the dock was perfect for our boat. We saw dolphins in the canal this year and of course lots of manatees. The owner went above and beyond with any questions we had & made sure our family was accommodated. Looking forward to next year!

all you need and more

the reasons we give 5 stars are the efficiency and kindness of the owner and the offer in general: pool, air conditioning, hot water, kitchen equipment, TV, wifi, kayaks (some would need repair), all is there and works fine. The area is a bit crowded but you can access a nice beach in less than 10 minutes drive and many quiet state parks. The Clearwater area is not too far and we enjoyed it very much: beaches, activities, parks, etc. Overall, very nice vacations in central Florida!

We have been enjoying this beautiful vacation property for 4 years now. It is a very relaxing place with a house well-stocked with everything you could need. There is plenty of room for everyone in the group to to spread out and have their own space. It is wonderful to be able to kayak right from the back dock. The beds are comfy, pool is beautiful and refreshing, location is perfect. If you are looking for a place to relax and unwind yet an easy travel to more "touristy" locations, then this is the place for you.

Family vacation

Kevin was a great host and answered questions quickly. This was like going to your grandma's house for vacation. It was small but clean. There were extra beach towels and a few pool noodles to use. The outdoor space was great and is where we spent most of our time. The only thing I found unpleasant is that the 3rd bathroom is actually outside by the pool and not air conditioned. It's great for It's intended purpose of a pool bathroom. It's not so great if you're depending on it for a 3rd bathroom for a guest. We were a family so it wasn't a problem to share the 2nd indoor bathroom, just a minor inconvenience.

Mermaid Manor is the place to stay in Weeki Wachee!

We had a great stay in your beautiful home. The home is very clean and has a beachy feel. All the amenities are above and beyond. The pool, pool area and beach towels make it easy to spend the day in and around the pool, playing games and grilling on the great barbecue. The grandkids loved the large pool. The pool area bath/changing room is great to keep the kids outside! Plenty of sleeping space and all nice bedding made for early nights for the kids after the fun in the sun. We also enjoyed seeing the crabs at Pine Island and the sunset there. The ocean is beautiful. We went shopping at Tarpon Springs, the sponge capital of the US. Cute little town with great Greek food. We played beach volleyball at Rogers park. We played golf. We went out many times in the kayaks and saw many manatee in the clear, clear Weeki Wachee River. Also saw the Mermaid show and the kids enjoyed the day at the park. Your location on the river canal is wonderful...quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed the fish sandwich at Becky / Jacks and dinner at the Upper Deck just a short walk down the road. Great places to eat! This is a beautiful property to enjoy. Dan is very responsive to any questions and the property is well maintained. We stayed here once before when owned by others. The improvements to the property are great!!! Thank you Dan and Holly for sharing your bautiful home. We loved our vacation! My daughter-in-law said it was the best vacation she ever had!

January 2017 family vacation at Mermaid Manor

Our family (5 adults and a 3-year-old) stayed 5 nights at the house in late January. We found the property to be very comfortable and just as it is presented in the listing. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful. The layout of the house was good for our family with two bedrooms in the main part of the house and a third a little separated from the others. Two of the rooms are a bit small but adequate and the beds are good. Everything very clean. The kitchen is well-equipped with a large refrigerator and lots of counter space. There is also a very good gas grill provided. Generous supplies were provided. Two living room spaces and a screen porch provide multiple open areas for different activities. The house is on an large lot that gave everyone a chance to spread out in the outdoor and indoor spaces. The outdoor pool was a little cool in January but we used it a good bit and I expect that it is wonderful later in the year. It is a quiet neighborhood and there is plenty of off-street parking for multiple cars. The house is on a canal that leads to the beautiful Weeki Wachee River. The owner provides kayaks and a canoe so we paddled every day. The boats and river are suitable for any level of paddling experience. The river was full of manatees at this time of year. There is also a nice park with a good playground within walking distance. Good seafood restaurants and a dockside seafood retail store are also close by. If you're looking for a fancy house this isn't it. This is a comfortable Florida river house and is a good value for the price

Relaxing Florida Trip

We just returned from our second stay at Mermaid Manor. We had a great time again! Thank you Dan and Holly for sharing your little piece of paradise with us. Also, thank you for ordering perfect weather for us :-) It was in the 80's and sunny every day. Just what travelers from the "frozen tundra" needed. The house is so well equipped with everything we needed, and we hated to leave. A bad storm hit up here in Wisconsin when we pulled in our driveway. 6" of blowing and drifting snow. I think we need to buy a place down there in the near future:-) We packed quite a bit into our stay again. We took a couple of day trips. One day we traveled to Tarpon Springs, met some family members and took a dolphin adventure cruise for 2 hours. We saw many dolphins right next to the boat. The captain and naturalist were very entertaining. They took us to Anclote Key where we were able to walk the beach of the small island. It was very reasonably priced. We then had lunch at Hellas greek restaurant which was right across the street from the dock. What fun! Of course you need to try the flaming cheese! Oompa! There are beautiful shops to explore downtown too. Another day we went to Honeymoon Island about an hour or so south of Weeki Wachee. The sugar sand is amazing! The gulf water was pretty cold still, but we did manage to get in it. They have walking trails where you can see many Osprey nests along with a nesting Eagle and Great Horned Owls. There were young in all of the nests. For a nature lover, it was very fun! We took the kayaks out for 3 long paddles. The water in the river is so clear and beautiful. The last run we did, we saw a manatee, so that was certainly a plus! We went to Pine Island one afternoon and enjoyed the beach and wildlife there as well. We saw horseshoe crabs, needle fish, crabs and many shore birds. Swamp fest was going on at a park just down the road, so we went to the craft fair and listened to some music. Other that that, we enjoyed the pool, eating too much, and just relaxing. Thanks again for your hospitality!!!

We had a great time and the house has a great layout for a couple families. My 12 and 8 year old paddled all the way from the spring head back to the house in their own kayak. Kevin is an amazing host. We appreciate the early check-in, extra supplies (garbage bags, dish soap, shampoo, salt, pepper, and other pantry items, kayaks, paddles, floats and so much more) It made it easy to settle in. He is very responsive to all messages. Thank you so much!

We stayed here for our annual scalloping trip. Plenty of room for 7 of us. Nothing fancy but served our needs. We used the kayaks and Grill. The screened in pool area is the highlight of this property. So nice after being out on a boat all day! Also plenty of parking and lots of extra towels and linens provided!

Perfect stay!

This location was perfect for our group. We had 9 people in total (4 adults and 5 teens) and there were enough kayaks for all of us. The pool was an amazing addition too. The home was a bit close quarters when we were all inside but it was rare that we were all in except to sleep. We would totally come here again.

Nice place, close to shopping , access to river is right there, saw fishes jumping, unfortunately no Manatee, did hear neighbors holler there was one down a few houses.:( The weather didn't cooperate to use the Beautiful pool.

Cute and cozy great location the host Keven was helpful and quick to respond to any questions within minutes. we will definitely return, if you are looking to see manatees this is the place we saw an abundance of manatees at the hospital hole a five minute kayak ride from the house.

Perfect river getaway

The house was perfect for me and my family to enjoy kayaking down the river and to unwind in the pool afterwards. Kevin was super helpful and it was great that we were able to bring our dog too. Definitely will return!

Retired nature lover. First time to visit Weeki Wachee hooked me. I immediately bought a home , and now have three. All my vacation homes cater to completely different lifestyle needs. One home is in the quiet area with access to Mud River by Mary's Fish Camp. Has a boat ramp and very fast access to fishing and scalloping in the gulf. Another home has access to Weeki Wachee with a heated, salt water pool that is screened in. And the third is a super modern living home with beautiful king master suite and two levels that look over the canal with quick access to the Weeki Wachee river.
