Cute little riverside neighborhood. Nice clean home, smells clean, well kept. Seems freshly renovated. The rental came with access to 3 kayaks at the time, a dock, boat ramp for easy in and out of the canal. We were nervous about the kids staying in the detached bunkhouse, but honestly the teens loved it! We will definitely save this property for a future return trip.
The place was fine and matched the pics and info given. They hosts even allowed us to check in early which gave us an extra day on the water! The beds were pretty comfortable. A few things need addressed. Several of the remote controls had dead batteries so it made it difficult to use tvs and appliances. The floor was swept but my feet were dirty after walking on your floors so I had to wear my shoes all the time. The fire pit was filled almost to the top with ashes so making a fire was difficult. Some of the pans need replaced as the nostick is coming off so we couldn't use them. I would definitely stay here again especially if the stuff I mentioned is taken care of.
We had a great stay. The property was beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. It is a quiet neighborhood and only a
few minutes paddle to the spring. I got some amazing pictures was able to capture an incredible video of a momma manatee and her calf. I loved the pet friendly accommodations and would absolutely recommend the
property!
was able to captire
We had a great time at this rental. It's on a canal that connects with Weeki Wachee Springs; we saw some Manatees on two of the days there. They had some kayaks and paddles that were great fun. Awesome backyard and dock. We would stay again for sure.
We had a great time in Weeki Wachee. Communication was quick and easy throughout the entire process. The house was clean and had everything you would need, even little extras, which was great. The house is in a great spot; the area is not too busy or crowded but close to everything. The state park is super close; you can rent kayaks and go down and see the manatees. Our family had a great time.
Quiet location. End of canal but only a few minutes paddle to clear river. Nice outside space and dock. The house was comfortable and really clean. Bring your outdoor/dock chairs and enjoy!
Location is great - quiet area and about 10 minute paddle to the main canal which drops you in the middle section past the dredging (supposed to be done soon).
Accommodations were excellent! Kitchen well stocked, bed comfy, bathrooms nice with plenty of towels. Washer/dryer to get bathing suits clean.
Yard is great. The ramp for access to the water beats just having a dock. Extremely easy to get in a kayak. The kayaks aren't new but they work fine. Did I mention it was quiet?
Overall a 10/10 stay. Hope to return to this quiet canal home in the future!
I like the set up of the kitchen/living room area. The screened in porch was valuable to have. Unfortunately, the bunk room smelled like mildew, so no one wanted to use it--it stung people's noses when breathing the air in the bunk room. The 3rd kayak needs some TLC--the alignment is off. There is a wasp nest near the screened door of the back porch (understandable). I appreciated having the washer/dryer to use. The grill was also great! Thank you.
We really enjoyed the property. The bunk house was perfect for our 4 boys and all of the beds were super comfortable. Place was clean and the pictures actually matched the description. Unfortunately, the fire pit did not work. That would have been nice to have for our weekend lake life experience but the host did get back to us in a timely matter and tried to resolve the issue. Only suggestion would be to have a few more folding chairs and maybe an umbrella for the dock. We brought our own chairs knowing that there wasn’t any. We spent almost all of our time on the deck so to make that more comfortable would be well worth the investment. Overall our two families would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Fantastic stay on the Weeki Wachee. House was darling, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. We used the gas bbq and enjoyed the gas outdoor fire pit in the evening. Seen a manatee swim by. Check in process was simple and having the code was great when coming and going. Tim the owner brought an additional kayak for the 3 of us to use. Having a washer and dryer made it so the only luggage needed was a carry on. House had a TV in each bedroom ( including the bunk house that we did not use). Can’t wait to come back!

We had an amazing time at Timothy's place. Even though the home is small, it is set up really well for entertaining. We had a blast just sitting in the kitchen watching people cook. We love the outdoor area with the little bunkhouse. I didn't expect to see manatees in the summer, but we had them at the dock every morning munching on the eelgrass. On the last morning I was drinking my coffee with my feet hanging over the dock with two large manatees feeding below! So cool! Even though the canal houses aren't directly on the Weeki Wachee river, I think manatees are more easily seen on the canals because there is more food for them and they tend to stick around longer. You just have to look for the air bubbles. We also had a barred owl perched above us at dawn and dusk :)
Thanks again!
This property was exactly as described in Vbro and in the pictures. It was a cozy and tastefully decorated cottage. The beds were comfortable. There is a separate bunk house which we did not use. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the kayaks were pretty old; 2 were missing seats and one was missing foot rests. For less than $200. A piece there are gently used ones on Face book Marketplace that could be purchased. New paddles and life preservers would be nice as well:) Other than that, it was exactly what I expected and exactly what I paid for😎Saw lots of wildlife from the deck too. Manatees and iwls came by almost daily!
PS Some of the boards on the deck/dock should be replaced soon.
Great house, nice location just needs a little touching up
Loved the location. The house is cute and comfortable. Tim was great to work with. Only area to work on is cleanliness. Sheets were not fresh, I stripped the beds and washed them the second day because I could not deal with them feeling not fresh. I had to wash all the dishes and silverware before using; some where really crusty. The refrigerator had an awful fish smell, ( it smelled up the whole house) Tim sent somebody over right away but it just masked the smell for a short time and then smelled like cheap cleaner and fish mixed. I even wiped it down with Dawn and vinegar but the smell stayed there. The freezer also smelled like fish so we did not buy ice. I didn’t even try to clean that. The dishwasher did not always work. It would start the cycle and then stop. Other times it worked fine. The washing machine screeches very loudly when filling with water but works well. I would stay again but I would know what to expect. Tim really is great but I think he needs a new cleaning person. I have a hard time being comfortable if it doesn’t feel clean to me or if a place stinks.
Peaceful stay in this cute cottage right on the canal. Fully stocked, plenty of seating and outdoor space. Wish it was warmer so we could’ve enjoyed all the outdoor amenities. Easy communication with host. Would stay here again.
We absolutely loved our stay. From start to finish everything was great. The owners were responsive and accommodating. The house had everything we needed and was very clean. The bunk house was great for the kids to have a little space but not be to far away. It is close to some delicious restaurants and attractions also. We just wished we could have stayed longer!!
We really enjoyed our stay at this home. It is an updated home with nice rooms, comfortable beds and an added plus for us was the bunkhouse! We wanted something that would be close to the river and this was the perfect spot. The distance wasn't far. We even saw a few manatees in the canal!
We had a wonderful time at this super cute place. We saw manatees multiple times in the canal and it was really nice to have the kayaks in property to use!
