This property was beautiful lots of wildlife plenty of space for out dogs to run..the house was perfect with plenty of supplies the back deck was great for sunbathing or dinners with that family. Plenty of games and comfortable beds we had a great 2 month stay the owners were prompt and always helpful and quick to respond I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a quiet place to unwind.

The most kid friendly place we have ever stayed! My girls were just obsessed with the house and all the activities it had to offer. Pet friendly was an exceptional plus. Location is beautiful and the house is gorgeous!

Home away from Home

Our stay was great. Myself and a few co workers stayed here while working in the area. The property made our say much more enjoyable than a standard hotel. We plan to return on the next phase of our project.

Oroville Lake House

What a beautiful property and absolutely accommodating. We've not stayed in a more fully stocked property. If you are looking for a remote get away that is comfortable, well appointed and laid back, this could be your best choice for the Lake Oroville area. The property owners are helpful and very friendly.

Family time at the home and on the Lake

We enjoyed the peaceful area and all of the amenities this home offered. The location was perfect to launch our boat at the nearby marina (Lime Saddle), which the owners communicated. Perfect spot to extend a few more days after moving our son into his Chico apartment. We will be back for sure!

Spring weekend getaway to Oroville

Well-maintained, lovely setting and perfectly positioned for a weekend adventure to the area. The Sampsons were super responsive and proactive. They also provide excellent information on how to use all the appliances, everything is well-labeled and clear, and we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you, Chris and Megen!!

Peaceful 4th of July!

We rented this beautiful house near the river to get away from the crazy fireworks in our neighborhood. Our dog is very fearful of fireworks, and this was the PERFECT retreat! We stayed five nights and explored Chico and Oroville. We found a wonderful dog-friendly restaurant in Oroville called Provisions and had the best lunch on their lovely patio with Buddy. The homeowners here couldn't have been nicer, and the home is beautifully well-appointed, with great appliances

One of the bedrooms had electrical issues with sparks coming out of the outets causing the refrigerator to stop working. We had to call the property mansger to get a circuit breaker replaced. Ugh!

Hi Jessica, it’s unfortunate to see your review. You plugged a CPAP machine into an outlet with an air conditioner on it, which tripped the breaker. You called on Saturday morning, I answered immediately and walked your through how to flip the breaker that tripped with 5 minutes. This was the first time that breaker had tripped in 2 years and over 100 stays, so I assure all other guests that this won’t be an issue. Thank you.

Quiet Getaway

The place was in a quiet, secluded location. We saw deer every morning sitting on the deck drinking our coffee. We like to cook instead of going out and the kitchen was well stocked with pretty much everything we needed. The grill was great and we used it several times. If you like a quiet spot without traffic, this is your place!

Country Comfort

My daughter and I recently stayed in the smaller cabin on this private piece of beautiful country property and we look forward to bringing the rest of our family to stay in the larger main house in the future. We like our privacy and this was the perfect fit for us. The cabin is tastefully decorated and very comfortable! The kitchen provides everything you need to prepare meals and the cabin is well stocked with plenty of extra towels and linens. The host of this property went above and beyond our expectations to ensure our stay was enjoyable! He was quick to respond to any inquiries we had and even left us a thoughtful gift! I highly recommend this listing to anyone looking for all the comforts of home in a wonderful private setting.

Chris was excellent, responsive and helpful. I can’t say enough about how perfect everything was. Anything you could possibly need was already there. We didn’t want to leave. True Home Away From Home!

My Fiancé and I absolutely loved this VRBO property! If you are looking for the place to feel at home among the nature and wildlife, this is it! Look no further. As soon as we arrived we saw wild turkeys. The whole time we stayed, we were met with all sorts of little amenities and the house was perfectly stocked with all sorts of cookware, utensils, flatware, and everything else you may need. It is off the beaten path a bit and that's exactly the kind of privacy we all need sometimes to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Thanks, Chris and Megen!
