This rustic cabin is great for a small family trip to explore the Beavers Bend Area. This cabin has 2 queen bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The open floor plan offers plenty of space for guests while cooking a delicious dinner or watching your favorite movie in the living room. Step outside onto the patio, and relax in the bubble hot tub. Grill steaks, burgers, or your favorite veggies on the propane grill. Gather around the fire pit and roast marshmallows to make delicious s'mores.

Not what I expected

Upon entering, the cabin smelled like a wet dog in the kitchen. The rest of the cabin smelled like there was water damage and mildew. The floors were uneven throughout the house with several weak spots. You definitely had to watch your step. The furniture drawers/doors wouldn’t stay shut due to the floors. The first night we saw 3 mice, all in different rooms and heard more throughout the night scurrying and scratching. One came from under the bed. Needless to say, it was a very restless night. The next morning we attempted to contact property manager about possibly moving to another cabin not infested with mice. We did not get a reply until we messaged them back the next night after filming the mice we saw then. The second night we saw at least 2 mice in the trash can and were able to get rid of those. We were told that it was a “value” cabin and even if they had another availability, they would have to charge us double if we stayed anywhere else. We were also told it was a wooded area and they occasionally get in. I grew up in the country and can understand “an occasional” rodent. The amount we saw however suggests they see more than the occasional. There are spaces under a couple of the outside doors. My kids were scared the whole time we were there and we had to keep all the food in the car. It’s sad because this cabin has the potential to be really nice. It has a huge living room and kitchen. It needs a lot of TLC. The backyard was decent. The location was was ideal.
