Poseidons Palace

We had such a fun time in AMI at this great beach house! Our group included 3 moms & 5 girls for a mother/daughter beach trip, and we had more than enough room! The house was very clean when we arrived, and we had plenty of bathroom towels & pool towels. The house is an easy 3-5 minute walk to the beach, and there were beach chairs for all of us, plus several extras! We will definitely plan to stay here again!

Island Getaway

The house was an amazing location and perfect in size. It fit our party of 15 perfectly. Everyone felt comfortable. A few little quirky ways the house flowed to get to certain areas but it all worked. And the island is great!

Great 60th birthday week at Poseidon Place!

Was a wonderful week. The house was amazing. Never felt crowded with 14 people. Everyone enjoyed their stay. The pool was a huge splash. The beach was so close and beautiful. Loved Anna Maria island. Would recommend this place.

Great vacation house

Great vacation house. We had 15 people staying in the house and had plenty of room. Wish the house kept up on the pool cue sticks (missing end pieces) and that the shuffle board had sand (could my use it). Outside pool area was GREAT after being at the beach! Would definitely come back to this house and would recommend it.

Family vacation

We had 14 people in our group. It was a great house. Had plenty of room. Very clean. Pool and hot tub was awesome along with the outdoor bar area. Very short walk to the beach. Will definitely stay here again!

Had a leak in the ceiling when we arrived. They were fast at responding to things we needed. Down fall is the place has roaches.

Great location and house

The house was big enough for my husband and our 6 kids to have plenty of space! It was close enough to the beach for walking back and forth, easily. Only issue were the mosquitoes at the pool. They were all over us even with the use of citronella candles and bug spray.

Not impressed

Was not impressed with the door alarms for the pool. We can and do watch our kids. Was not impressed when the man came into one of the bedrooms with young mom putting her son down for nap and did'nt knock on bedroom door, just opened and barged in. Trees around pool area need cleaned up.

Problems not reported to us prior to arrival

The air conditioning and pool heater were not working at check in. Two hours before check in the air conditioning problem was told to us and offered portable units to us. That worked. We called Saturday after check in about the pool heater problem. We didn’t get service until Tuesday. I think a 10% refund for these issues is appropriate…. I look forward to a response.

Much Needed Vacation with Friends

To sum it up. The property had everything we were looking for when we booked 2 months prior our arrival, Most importantly the large rooftop decks for sun, sunrises and amazing sunsets and the second level decks that were accessed by the the two upper bed rooms which would have been great for the beautiful morning or evening before bed. Upon arrival we were able to use the entire property for all of one full day and then the property management showed up and locked us out of the rooftop decks and the second level decks…..from our understanding is that the railing needed to be inspected…..why was it ok for us to use it for one night if it was a “life safety issue” and then shut us out from using it the rest of our entire trip… I was told they need to follow the law, and I understand that there are codes to follow but why wasn’t that disclosed prior to our arrival? So from that point on I had called and text the property managers to get some kind of an update and sometimes twice a day….all I told when I called or text was that they had a team working on it and it was an owners issue.. well I cannot call the owner so that’s were management comes right into play….i still have not received one call back from them and we are no longer there from our 8 day vaca. they did not EVER get back to me about any updates, 7 full days they would not call or text me anything. I had to call… this in my opinion is terrible property management! We paid a hefty ransom to stay at this property..

Great location and outdoor space

The family enjoyed the location and island! The home had several areas in need of repairs. Multiple lights out, tv’s that would not work or were difficult to connect, WiFi issues, ceiling over kitchen leaked leaving puddles in the floor when rained, living room wall was experiencing leaks, broken glass on outside door, lots of mosquitoes in backyard and smoke detector upstairs going off. I had to make two calls to emergency maintenance and one to main office while there one week. With the right attention this home could be exceptional!!

Beautiful!

The location is ideal to the beach and shopping. The house is as large as advertised and very well suited for a large group. Common areas were also conducive to group settings and dining , We loved it and would highly recommend this Palace for a wonderful vacation for a large group.

Family Vacation

Over all, this is a comfortable home with a nice pool and a short walk to the beach. However, the kitchen had NO paper towels, no trash liners, no basic kitchen items ie: salt, pepper, some cooking oil... would have been nice. We flew in from CO, so those basic items are very important and necessary! Also an extra roll of toilet paper in each bathroom should be provided. The house has an infestation of termites.

Perfect for a large group

The house was perfect for our group of 15. Enough bedrooms for all of us and the common areas (living and dining) could accommodate all of us. Great location, with a very short walk to the beach. Very happy with the beach chairs and beach toys. We also enjoyed the outdoor space and pool, and watched the sunset on the unique roof deck. We did have issues with the hot water and usually only 3 of us got hot showers. We continued to have this issue even after they fixed it. The owners also needs to invest in new pillows for all the beds. Even with these issues, I would highly recommend the property.

Great getaway spot!

We rented this property for a week in February with 8 adults and 6 young children. It exceeded all expectations. Steps to the beach was so great, with traveling with little ones to not have to uproot an entire group to go home for nap time. The pool area is amazing. Best piece of the house. Hot tub got nice and hot and was easy to control. Only suggestion would be to add more lighting by pool area for evening hanging out and swimming. Would highly recommend this house!!!

The house was as big a listed but there are many steps to pool and balconies. There is no bathroom on pool level which makes it a long walk up stairs. The jets in whirl pool did not work until our last day. We had trouble with TV but they were prompt to fix it. All in all, the house is for younger "spry" people but it is beautiful!

Beautiful and spacious home

This spacious house fit our extended family of 11 (6 adults, 5 kids) very comfortably. We even had two bedrooms that were unused. Because the weather was unseasonably cool, the adults only used the hot tub portion of the pool, but the kids had no problem swimming in the chilly pool water and had a great time. The outdoor tiki bar, lounge chairs and large table were very nice. There is a large amount foliage that, while lush and beautiful, covered up the sunshine and left the area quite cool during the day so we didn’t use the space as often as we’d like if it were warm and sunny. We utilized the provided wagon, boogie boards, sand toys and beach chairs when we went to the beach less than a block away. The sand was powdery and there was a line of shells along the water’s edge that was fun to browse. The kitchen/living area was spacious and an abundance of kitchen tools, appliances, plates, cups, platters were provided. I contacted the owners about some things we noticed upon checking in (bottom dishwasher drawer and refrigerator drawers that were wonky, some lightbulbs needed replacement, and windows that were cracked) and they were aware of them and working on getting them fixed in the future, which was fine with us. I recommend bringing extra dishwasher pods, laundry detergent, hand soap, toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels as we quickly went through the small amount that was provided. We were very impressed with Anna Maria Accommodations and their responsiveness when I had questions/requests before and during our vacation. All in all, I highly recommend this house and would love to stay there again in the future.

Plenty of room!

We had 9 adults stay here and we had plenty of room. The house was kept very clean. We loved the backyard! Pool/hot tub/outside bar were fantastic! Used every afternoon after beach.The house is also very close to the beach and the house had plenty of beach toys for us. This house is perfect for large groups who want their privacy. A 2nd fridge, perhaps in the garage would be super helpful! Couple other things Id recommend: bottom rack in dishwaser does not fit well, comes off the rack often; faucet in kitchen is loose; shower drain in one of the upstairs bathrooms did not drain well; house was clean but recommend spend a little more time cleaning floors. House overall is showing is wear and tear, however we still loved it! Mgmt company is great as well!!

Expected better for the high price tag

CONS: We paid extra for 87 degree pool heat upon arrival. It took three days of unusable cold pool and many complaints to get them out there to fix it. Once Wes came out the problem was solved. The freezer ice machine was broken so we had to buy ice. The kitchen cabinet doors are falling off the hinges as well as the entertainment stand area with the same problem. Do not rent this house if you have little children or babies as the sound carries throughout no matter what floor you are on. The outdoor kitchen was basically unusable as somebody had stored fish in it. It reeked of old fish odor. They came out to measure for a new one but we never received it while we were there. Cleaning done prior to our arrival was poor. We had to vacuum the whole house before we could walk around barefoot. The upstairs bedrooms are very very hot at night and you cannot adjust the air conditioner. Ceiling fan in our room was off balance and noisy. PROS: Lots of room. Once heated properly the pool was in constant use. Beds were cozy and showers are enormous (no shelves or hooks though) Fantastic proximity to the beach. Landscaping is lush and almost too shady by the pool. Roof top deck is wonderful!! Great for families with children 3 and up if the adults can be very quiet after bedtime. Grocery, fresh fish market and alcohol stores nearby. Restaurants were meh. We ate better when we cooked at the house.

Perfect house

We had a great trip! Plenty of room for 6 couples and 3 kids. The master downstairs had big enough closets to slide a packnplay in there for our 9 month old. The living room had great seating and the house is better than the pictures! The pool was the crown jewel. The 2 and three year old swam all day and the gradual entry was perfect for them! Kitchen was well stocked and there was a wagon and plenty of beach chairs for everyone. Super quick walk to the beach made this place a fabulous find! Be sure to bring your own hand soap, laundry detergent and sink and dishwasher soap. Definitely not enough provided for the week. Overall this was a great find for a family gathering or large group!
