The Bunkhouse is the original 1950’s block house built for the ranch hands. It has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath; full kitchen and laundry room along with a spacious family room.

Very cozy and cute. Great house to spend the night. Cool property, Views go on and on. Pleasure t meet the owner who lives on the property. Def recommend to stay here
The hosts have done a wonderful job creating an unforgettable stay. We came to Great Falls to celebrate our wedding anniversary and visit with a dear friend. The Bunkhouse is quite cozy with a warm and welcoming decor. Everything you could possibly need was provided. It was such a wonderful experience. Even though the hosts are on shared property, it felt like we were alone all week. The hot tub was very clean and muchly needed for the dry Montana air. Highly recommend staying here. It's a little slice of heaven out here.
We can’t say enough about how wonderful our stay was at Down Home Acres. The home was wonderful and so cozy. The location was great as it provided a space for peace and quiet while being close to town. We absolutely love it!!!! We will be back when we come to visit family again.
Totally took care of us - we had some personal family issues, and they stepped in ways that are so above and beyond. Thanks for your generosity. Can't wait to come again - soon!
Not too far out of town to be any trouble, but far enough to enjoy some peace and quiet. Very clean, plenty of space. Plus, who can say "No" to an outdoor hot tub? Not us, that's for sure!
It's in a very out of the way location. Very quiet. Very nice. Sleeping was very good. They provided extra things for breakfast which was very unexpected but appreciated. I would stay there again.
This bunkhouse is even better than pictured. Beautiful property only a few minutes from the main town, yet out in the country. House has everything you need. Owner very responsive to questions. Great proximity to visit Lewis and Clark National Center, we got lucky and were there for annual Lewis and Clark festival. Fun and informative! Buffalo Jump State Park and Giant Springs State Park great too. Howard's pizza delish! Would recommend this bunkhouse.
The property was very inviting and accommodating. Cleanliness was impeccable and the owners were very responsive of all requests and needs. They were also very respectful of our space and privacy.
Highly recommend this property!
This property was everything we wanted and it tops our list of all time favorite vacation rental homes. Not only is the hostess super kind and gracious, but the home is also comfortable, beautifully decorated, and so fresh and clean…and I’m picky about that! My husband said, “Boy, she thought of everything.” We watched the sun set each night, then enjoyed the star-filled Montana sky from the hottub. The peacefulness of this property is unbeatable.
We were able to visit here with our son who is stationed at Malmstrom and treated him to a ribeye dinner made on the gas grill. The host has all the basics (and then some) for cooking and baking on hand. This made grocery shopping for the meal super quick and easy. We love country quiet close to town and this was IT for us!
Nice property, quiet location,.
The property was well stocked and very clean. Actually many people could learn from this host.
I would definitely stay there again should I pass through Great Falls. I would highly recommend if you’re traveling with your own food or wish to shop at the grocery to book this property. Grill is very nice, great yard to relax, watch stars.
Don hesitate to book if your in the area.
Absolutely a great place to stay and relax. There are many amenities provided, the entire space is very clean and comfortable, the hosts are very responsive in communicating, the views are incredible, the property is a few miles away from groceries, stores, gas, etc., and the entire visit felt like it was perfect for us.
Beautiful Prairie Living with Thoughtful and Gracious Hosts
This little bunkhouse couldn’t be nicer, more accommodating, or offer a more authentic country living experience. It is just a lovely spot in beautiful country. The home is so cute! Clearly the hosts put a lot of thought into decorating and furnishing the home, which has inspirational and humorous quotes tastefully placed throughout the home. The refrigerator was stocked with water, condiments, eggs and bread, creamer, and milk. There were instant oatmeal and cereal as well. There was an awesome coffee machine that gave you the option of making a cup or a pot of coffee. The hosts stocked the home amply, from a well-stocked kitchen to a bathroom with a large assortment of various sundries. The bed was so comfortable! It was hard to leave in the morning. I immediately felt at home, and was so thankful for the peace and serenity it provided as I was here to deal with my father’s severe illness. After spending 12 or more hours a day at the hospital it was an amazing place to restore my spirit. A soak in the hot tub, a long walk up the hills looking at huge mountains in the distance, hearing the hoot owl at night, or the pheasant in the morning, this is as close to heaven as I will ever come.
The hosts were terrific! Prompt messaging, easy check in, they really did think of everything and I could tell they really wanted to make it a great stay for visitors. Their boys are just too cute too, nothing makes your heart as happy as watching kids play outside. 😊
I highly recommend this place! It’s just a few minutes to town, yet feels like a different universe. I can’t wait to come back.
