About this property

Slow-living by the lagoon – Beachfront stay in Naïa Bay, New Caledonia

✨ Welcome to La Casa de la Plage — our little slice of paradise where you can slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with what truly matters. 🌺
Nestled in lush greenery, this charming and comfortable beachfront bungalow, with breathtaking views of the turquoise lagoon of Naïa Bay in New Caledonia, invites you to truly unwind.
Here, the sound of the waves gently rocks your days, you wake up to birdsong, and the ocean breeze rustles through the coconut trees all around you…

The main house includes an air-conditioned double bedroom, a living room facing the lagoon with two sofas that can be used as extra beds (either two singles or one king), a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with shower and toilet, and a shaded terrace that opens onto the tropical garden.
Just across the garden, a detached, air-conditioned faré with a queen-size bed welcomes two additional guests. The full property accommodates up to 6 people comfortably.

The house is located in a quiet, private and secure residential area, ensuring a peaceful and worry-free stay.

Imagine this...
You start the day with a sunrise yoga session by the lagoon, followed by a swim in its calm, crystal-clear waters.
As the day unfolds, you snorkel above vibrant coral reefs — in water so clear it feels like an open-air aquarium, paddle gently across the bay, or hop on a boat to explore the nearby islets.
As the light begins to fade, you unwind with unforgettable ocean sunsets, then lift your gaze to a sky full of stars and the Milky Way, free from light pollution.

For those who wish, your host — a certified yoga teacher — offers private sessions in yoga, meditation, and sound healing (singing bowls), as well as energy healing treatments (crystal bed and gentle hypnosis).

A truly special place for couples, families or friends looking for peace, natural beauty, and simplicity — with the lagoon lapping at your doorstep.

About the host

Host profile image
Hi, I’m Valérie, your host at La Casa de la Plage 🌺
Over the years, I’ve lived and travelled in many corners of the world, and some of my most meaningful memories were made in places where I was welcomed like a local. Those experiences inspired me to open my own home to travellers — a place where you can slow down, reconnect, and feel at ease.

I’m also a yoga and meditation teacher, energy healer and spiritual coach. If you’re curious, I’d be happy to gently introduce you to a few grounding practices during your stay.

Whether you come to rest, explore, or simply breathe by the ocean, I’ll be here to make sure your experience is as nourishing and peaceful as can be.

Why they chose this property

There’s something truly special about this part of New Caledonia: the gentle rhythm of life, the pristine lagoon, and the wild beauty all around. I was drawn to this place for its peaceful energy and the way nature seems to hold space for stillness and renewal. It’s the kind of place where you can hear your own breath again, where the sunsets feel like a gift. Living here feels like a privilege, and I love sharing that sense of wonder with my guests.

What makes this property unique

La Casa de la Plage isn’t just a beachfront bungalow. It’s a place to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with what truly matters. With the lagoon quite literally on your doorstep, the sound of the waves as your daily soundtrack, and a space designed with simplicity, comfort, and soul, it invites you to fully unwind. Whether you’re practicing yoga on the terrace, exploring the nearby islets, or sipping coffee with your feet in the sand, this home offers a rare blend of privacy, presence, and natural beauty.
