The inside was nice!
We had an ok time at the silo! We only got to enjoy the hot tub night 1 of 3 and even then it wasn't very warm. The temp stayed about 70°. Our first night while in the hot tub a semi drove through just a couple feet away and then backed into one of the barns. We thought we would have had a little more privacy but the neighbors right behind you seem to always be outside and there's always somebody in the barns during the day at the beginning of the driveway. The inside of the silo was amazing and the bed was super comfortable.

Unique and creative property, great hosts
We enjoyed experiencing the repurposed grain silo. It's like steam punk meets Green Acres. Definitely a one of a kind with creative flourishes everywhere. Extended family and friends enjoyed all our photos.

The absolute best retreat
This was my favorite getaway ever. The location is secluded and relaxing. There is wifi but limited cell service. The rental is private and absolutely amazing. My only neighbors were some cute dairy cows and bull frogs. This is a trip I will be taking again and again to unplug and unwind. The host were very responsive and took excellent care of me when I had a few requests. I can’t recommend this enough if you need time away.

Farmers. That is who we are. All right, old farmers. And the second generation farmers. And the third generation farmers! We do have the desire to share our little piece/peace of the universe with folks like you!

Why they chose this property

We are here in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, where time is going a little slower than anywhere else. Where the people are real, and kindness is part of our everyday life. Here, you can relax and enjoy all the good things of wholesome living. You can kind of forget that there is another world out there!

What makes this property unique

We are here in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, where time is going a little slower than anywhere else. Where the people are real, and kindness is part of our everyday life. Here, you can relax and enjoy all the good things of wholesome living. You can kind of forget that there is another world out there! It is a surreal experience in the repurposed grain bin, where engineering, art, innovation and love meet in perfect harmony. The grain bins were part of our farming operation. We bought it in Indiana, haul it here and fill it with our harvests from our row crops. But we moved on from that, and we decided to repurpose it. So, we fill it with all kinds of treasures from our farm. Parts of a still became part of the decor, old railroad ties that were used for fencing, became the staircase. An old wagon wheel became a light fixture, and ........ oh, come see for yourself!
