About this property

Bali inspired tropical studio with a green patio

In a big green garden sits this private studio/guest house under an oak tree. Centrally located, 3 min from the highway (I-95), you are anywhere (beach!) in 10 to 15 min. With lots of windows, the sun travels through and fills the space with golden rays. Find a Bali-inspired natural material mix with clean design, real plants, a great speaker and good books creating a divine energy. Outside awaits your own garden area. Well-equipped kitchen - and great restaurants nearby.
Monthly stays welcome!

The space:
The studio is a separate structure next to the main house. We live in one of the two units of the main house and are usually around if you need us, or in good communication with you, in case we are busy or away.

All windows have privacy curtains for during the day and blackout fabric behind the bamboo shades to keep the light out in the morning ;-) The bed is a European vintage treasure (a little wider than a queen size).

You have your own private entrance and garden area. The property is fenced, the house is set back from the street.

The Little River/Little Haiti neighborhood is lively, families enjoying their yards, some music here, some people talking there, chickens and roosters crossing the street - good vibes in the air and you feel like you are in the Caribbean islands.

Guest access:
Bikes:
We have 2 guest bikes available. They are shared with our other rental unit but usually easy to coordinate.

Food options:
Imperial Moto is 1 min by car or 4 min walking from the house for breakfast at a modern coffee shop. Naomi's restaurant is 3 min by car and has the best authentic Haitian food. The Center of Subtropical Affairs has life Jazz music on Thursdays and varying program on the weekends.
Plenty of restaurants are within 5-7 min, for example Plantisserie - an organic plant based deli with a cute seating area, the Citadel food court for every gusto with rooftop terrace and life music, Panther Coffee, Clive's Cafe - authentic Jamaican food, Chef Creole, etc.

We are always happy to share recommendations of our favorite places or spots you might like based on your interests.
