Breathtaking, panorama, and restful views of the sea at this Waterfront, seaside home! Snorkel and swim at beautiful, colorful Coral Reefs or Dive/fish for Snappers and Lobsters in the ocean 35 steps away from house! The outdoor area has a private pool, and adirondack chairs to enjoy. There are 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms. 1st room has a King Size Bed with Ocean Views. The 2nd, Queen Size bed and Ocean Views, 3rd room, two full beds. Bedrooms have 55 inch TV's, high speed Internet. Relax & unwind as you feel the ocean breeze!The outdoor area has a covered patio with an adjacent room for washer/dryer.
There are three bedrooms. The Master Bedroom includes a King Size Bed, large walk-in closet, connecting bathroom and Ocean Views. The second bedroom has a Queen Size bed and Ocean Views. The third bedroom has two full size beds. All bedrooms have TV's. There is High Speed Internet included, just bring along a laptop. Beautiful open plan Living, Dining rooms and Kitchen, all with Ocean Views. Relax and Unwind as you sit on our Lounge Chairs and feel ocean breeze! You'll love our Private Home and Swimming Pool.

Our Private Ocean Front Villa is located on Yamacraw Hill Road of the Island of New Providence, Nassau.

The Villa is internet/cable ready. It is a three (3) minute drive from the grocery store Super Value and Solomon's Fresh Market. Wendy's, Starbucks, Domino's Pizza, and Pink Octopus restaurants are a three to five minute drive.
There is complete privacy at the Ocean Front Villa as it is completely enclosed and a wooden picket fence making the swimming pool and back patio activities very private.

Ocean Paradise is approximately a 15 minute drive to Atlantis, Paradise Island where there are many activities and ways to spend your leisure time as follows:

There are numerous restaurants to choose from such as Carmine's,Bimini Road, Cafe Martinique, the Market Place, SeaFire, Ben & Jerry's ice-cream and Starbucks, at the Marina Village at Atlantis Resort.

There is the One and Only Ocean Club and Atlantis with great golf courses, snorkeling, boating, Dolphin Encounters, Para-sailing and the Bo-Hingy boat which can take visitors to a nearby island called Harbor Island to see the gorgeous pink sand beaches.

Bay Street, the Town Center is an 18 minute drive from the Villa. There you will find a straw Market, Rum Cake Factory, Senior Frogs Bar and Restaurant, The Governors House, Luciano's Restaurant, just to name a few things.

On the other hand, the Ocean Front Villa is a quiet, relaxing get-away where you can sit back on our fabulous Oceanfront patio and enjoy the soothing sounds of the Ocean which seem to release a feeling of Peace/Tranquility and enjoy a little bit of Heaven on Earth!

There is a Five Star, world famous resort called Atlantis, located on the very popular Paradise Island. Visit the restaurants and shops at Marina Village, tennis, swim with the dolphins or participate in various tourist sea excursions. Tourists can buy a day pass for $135 per adult and $80 per child and be able to enjoy all of its facilities including the Water Theme Park, slides, underwater aquariums and gorgeous beaches.

A visit to Blue Lagoon Island is highly recommended where you can pat the Sea Lions and swim with the Dolphins.Guests can spend a whole or half day on the beach on this excursion.

There is a full day 'Family Island' trips/excursions on the 'Bohengy Boat' (also called Bahamas Fast Ferries) which takes approximately 2-1/2 hours to travel to family islands like Harbor Island, Eleuthera, where there are more gorgeous, secluded beaches with pink sand.

We spent a week at the end of May. The home is well appointed. Kitchen has everything you could ever need. Towels galore. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

Location is beautiful and quiet, it’s just aways from town. We rented a car since there were 7 of us and that worked just perfect. Host is excellent at responding and communicating. We had a great time! Pool was nice, although we did swim in the ocean everyday.

The villa was pretty much as described in the listing. Cathy was a superb host who dealt with minor issues promptly and efficiently, going above and beyond what was required to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. A car is essential in order to get to supermarkets and Nassau, which is just 15-20 minutes away.

Wonderful stay at Ocean Paradise

The name of the home says it all, ocean paradise! Communication with the host was easy & check-in was smooth. The home had everything we needed for our stay: plenty of "beach" towels, shower towels, kitchen cups & plates, coffee maker, and lots of space. Bonus extras included the pool, Adirondack chairs with gorgeous ocean views, kayaks, and water shoes (really useful because the ocean floor is rocky). The water is clear, we saw a few little fish and a sting ray and we spent lots of time enjoying the views and water. We loved our time and would recommend to any family or visitor!

Overall, amazing place. You can't beat the views and peaceful seclusion. If you want a place to just be alone, this is the place. We had such a blast with my kids swimming on the reef, that the pool seemed kind of pointless and dirty compared to how crystal clear and calm the ocean was. Beach is more of a locals beach (not maintained with a good amount of broken glass), but had it all to ourselves. 20 minute drive from all the main attractions of the island, if you want to go out. Only negative is a lot of stuff is showing significant wear. Dishwasher leaks, we had no running water for 2 hours due to an old electrical issues, cracks in tiles out back, etc.

The access to water from the back patio was great!

A family of 7. enough dining chairs and big table for meals. Loved private patio, large kitchen area for our game nights. caught small, many fish from water in the back at night but make sure to bring a bug spray because the nasty bugs come out at night. Did not see many fish but still fun to do in the back yard snorkeling. AC was great. We had a chef service that was available. We liked Bahamian fish dishes. He cooked a fish we got from the deep sea fishing. Great and fun experience over all.

Beautiful Vacation Home

Our family of 7 spent Christmas in this beautiful home. There was plenty of room for all of us. The home was very nice and clean. We had such a wonderful time. We spent much of our time on the very large patio. It was nice to be able to just go jump in the ocean when we would get a little warm from the sun. Our evenings were spent with all of us gathered around the large dining table playing cards or board games. We spent 2 days at Atlantis. We had a lot of fun but were very excited to get back to the peaceful home. We did not get to meet Cathy as she was spending the holidays with family but she was very good to call and check on us. She also assured us that if we needed anything we could just call her and someone would be there to take care of us. We would recommend this home. We really hope to return some day and spend more time in paradise!

Great Deal for a Beautiful Location

When deciding to visit the Bahamas with our family, we knew we wanted a nice house that provided ample living space both inside and outside, with multiple bedrooms and of course at a reasonable price. This house provided that and more! We went with 6 adults and 2 toddler. The owner kindly provided a highchair and pack-n-play for my son, which was incredibly convenient!! All the beds were very comfortable and the rooms were spacious and well equipped. The house was right on the water, and though there was no beach at the house, two beautiful beaches were only a 5 minutes drive away. The outdoor space was nice, and included a pool. The kitchen was basic, but sufficient - and we cooked here 5 of the 7 nights we visited. The grocery store was about 5 minutes away as well which made it convenient to get groceries. There was free wifi at the house, which was a nice cost savings as well. In the end - this house worked out great. Such a bargain for what you get!

perfect start to the new year

My wife, 9 year old daughter, and I just ended our second stay at Cathy's house and we had our second nearly perfect vacation. The house is a relatively quick drive to Nassau (rent a car!) and nothing on the island is more than about an hour away. The house itself is exactly as described- there's also a washer and dryer, which I don't believe is mentioned. Some cool things to do while in the Bahamas that cruisers will never experience: snorkel off the pier behind the house. Drive just a half mile down the road to the corner of Prince Charles and spend a day at your neighborhood beach. Drive through downtown and a bit more and check out Love Beach. Stay for a drink at the outdoor bar after! Finally and most importantly: as so many have indicated here, please utilize Chef Sweeting. He is an exceptional cook and a really tremendous person as well. Take some time to get to know him while he's preparing your amazing meals. Thanks again to Cathy and we will definitely be back!

Great house

The house is beautiful and well located if you have a rental car. Buses don’t go that far and taxis are very expensive. Renting a car is a must do! :) The owner was nice and helpful. She sends a very helpful document in advance. The water in front is very nice! We saw many huge fish and sting rays. The pool is very nice and very warm which was very nice for us. The only two things that were negative about this property were that a lot of cooking utensils are missing (no scisors, etc…) and the beds are not comfortable. The matresses definitely need to be changed. There are foam matresses on top of every bed, but the original matresses are sagging. My boyfriend has back problem so it was a big issue for him. It was not such a big issue for our daughters. It is just something that you need to be aware of if you decide to book this house. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommand this property anytime!

Winter Get Away!

My wife and I stayed at Ocean Paradise for our winter get away this February. The villa is located in Yamacraw Hills on the eastern side of the island on the water. The house is beautiful, well appointed and very clean. It was off the beaten path and quiet, which was what we were looking for! The area is very safe to walk in the morning and evening. The grocery store is about 5 minutes drive from the house. Upon arrival to the island Cathy the owner arranged Chef Sweeting to greet us with outstanding appetizers and Bahama Mama's and reviewed how everything worked in the house. Enjoyed going to beaches, Atlantis and Bone Fishing with Simon. We also loved just hanging out on the beautiful patio and enjoying the Sting Rays passing by the villa every day. Every day naps in the hammocks on the patio were outstanding. A car is strongly recommended as well as Chef Sweeting services. Chef let us create our menu for the month, he is an exceptional cook and a really tremendous person as well. Our daughters joined us for a week on the island. They were interested in dining out the days we did not have Chefs services. We had some really good meals at Poop Deck, Luciano, starfire steak house but if you want to drop a few dollars and get one of the best meals you will have in a restaurant go to the Bahamian Club.

Exceptional Experience!

The Oceanfront home was exceptionally clean and spotless. It was very comfortable and felt like our home away from home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this fantastic vacation house. The sea is literally in your backyard! The view from the patio and pool was fabulous! The panoramic views were absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. We recommend bringing your own snorkeling gear, as there are great spots to go snorkeling. There are numerous comfortable out door lounge chairs for relaxing and viewing the incredible view. The Ocean Paradise house could not have been any better nor could there have been a better host. Cathy is a wonderful host and incredibly timely in responding to questions. Every need was met very quickly and in a timely response to all my annoying tourist questions. Upon our arrival, we found that a previous guest had broken the coffee pot. Cathy had a new one delivered that same day! We were extremely impressed by the incredible service. It truly was a trip to remember. Also for anyone looking for boat tours Bahamas Water tours in Nassau gave us an amazing day with a glass bottom boat tour, snorkeling as well as swimming with the turtles. Thank you again, Cathy for your awesome vacation home! We had a fabulous time and thoroughly enjoyed staying at Ocean Paradise villa. We highly recommend staying at Ocean Paradise!

We enjoyed our stay but......

The property manager/owner was very responsive to our needs at every turn but we had so many issues that never should have happened if the property was better kept in general. For example, the day we arrived the pool was actually green and when I reached out she said that the issue was just brought to her attention but a pool does not turn green over night. We also had issues with an electrical fire in the master bedroom, burnt out light fixtures in closets. The ceiling fans would run fast and then dim completely down again. Leaking water heater, the microwave only worked at certain times of the day, furniture that was so broken down it was unbelievable and when we said something she immediately responded with " new furniture is on its way" but based off the condition of that furniture I would say it should have been "on it's way" 4-5 years ago. There was broken patio furniture and clay planters on the pool area that should have been thrown away years ago, and the grill that was pictured in the ad was non-existent so she sent over one of the neighbors with a mini table top charcoal grill that was too small to use for our group. I really hesitated to leave this review because she was very responsive but again, there is no way all the issues that we had just instantaneously happened the week or two before we came. In summary, yes we enjoyed our stay and yes I would stay there again but only after I verified that the long needed repairs etc had been addressed.

Our stay at this oceanfront villa was absolutely perfect. The property is even more stunning than the photos—breathtaking views, relaxing ocean breezes, and total privacy. Every detail was thoughtfully designed for comfort, from the spacious bedrooms to the fully equipped kitchen. We loved waking up to the sound of the waves and dining outdoors each evening. We loved the house, especially the pool! We swam in the pool every day. The house was clean, well stocked, and being right on the water was spectacular! The host was great to work with. Family of 4, boys 18 & 20, loved it.

Everything was exactly as advertised. The only issue was the inflateable kayaks had leaks in them and were unusable. We didn't much day time at the house anyway.Family had a great, relaxing, well needed vacation. Lots of games and puzzles.

We had a wonderfull vacation at this Villa. Very well located on the sea with several activities on site and near by.We were well supported by the host on planning our trip including several tips. As a note, a car is a must to visit the island.

An honest review

Positives: Beautiful location/views, very comfortable beds, excellent working A/C in the master bedroom and kitchen/living areas, fast responses from the host.Negatives: The keyless entry door lock kept malfunctioning. Initially we were locked in but the host responded quickly and a locksmith arrived within an hour to change the code. The next evening we got locked out, the host sent the locksmith again. The next day we tested it before going out and it didn’t work, so we decided to stay in for our final day. The majority of the windows either do not open or only open 2 - 4 inches. Every window and the back door have steel bars, if there were a fire and you could not get to the front door you would be trapped, (provided the keyless entry did not malfunction and lock you in). There really isn’t a jacuzzi tub because the drain stopper does not work, so you cannot fill the tub to use it. There was ZERO water pressure when taking a shower. The cushions on the outdoor furniture were all ripped with the cotton stuffing falling out. The planters around the pool were filled with dead plants. The home needs a lot of updating and better maintenance. The A/C in the guest room with the full size bed did not work. We didn’t try the A/C in the guest bedroom with the 2 single beds.

What makes this property unique

There are many things to do at the Ocean Front Villa including, swimming, snorkeling in search of coral reefs. While snorkeling, we found a gorgeous reef with four crawfish, we saw many StarFishs along our way, what a wonderful experience! It's a great place for sitting on the patio and reading a book, relaxing in the warmth of the sun or have a swim in the private pool and go to sleep in the hammock alongside of the Oceanfront Villa.
Our guests enjoy a swim/snorkel from our back patio.
