Overall great place to stay. The drive up to the yurt was fun. AWD/4WD definitely a must if it’s wet

Unique getaway

Loved the yurt and all of the fun activities- perfect for my teenage boys. Driving was a bit tricky in a minivan. Would love to return but it is pricey for the area.

Glad the activities kept the teenagers busy, that's exactly who they're for. Fair point about the drive in a minivan, and we hear you on the price. Thanks for the honest note.

We're sorry this stay fell so far short. A washer and a fireplace that don't work and a place that isn't clean on arrival are not what anyone should walk into, least of all with young children. Thank you for saying it plainly, and we're sorry the trip wasn't worth it for you.

Superb indoor and outdoor equipment

We all appreciated the fact that everything that we might want or need was available, from paper napkins to Nespresso. Kids loved the PS5 and archery, we loved the splendid shower and hot tub, as well as the very detailed manual.

Napkins to Nespresso is a nice way to put it. Glad the kids had the PS5 and the archery while the grown-ups had the hot tub, and that the manual came in handy.

Perfect Weekend Spot

We loved staying at the Yurt for a weekend getaway. The yurt was clean and looked just as advertised. The beds were comfy and bathrooms great. We had fun grilling and cooking, making fires, trying our hand at archery, and hanging out in the hot tub. It also wasn’t far from hiking and the Shenandoah river. The evenings were cool, which was nice because we found the AC didn’t quite keep the bedrooms cool. I would probably come again if prices drop in the future. Otherwise a cool one-time experience.

Sorry the bedrooms ran warmer than they should have. Glad the fires, the archery and the hot tub still made for a good weekend, and thank you for the balanced write-up.

Yurt o Fun!

We had an excellent stay at the Shenandoah Yurt! Our kids loved the archery and corn hole. My husband and my kids enjoyed the PS 5! We all loved the outdoor fire pit and the hot tub! It was a great weekend getaway! Everything we needed was provided. It is clear that every detail in designing the yurt was carefully thought out. My only note would be that there were no top sheets or pillow cases for the king futon upstairs or for the twin foldout beds downstairs. I'm not sure if that was purposeful or not. Personally, I would have loved to have those items provided. We will definitely plan another visit to the Yurt!

Glad the archery, the corn hole and the fire pit all got used. You're right that the futon and fold-out beds should have had sheets and pillowcases ready, and we're sorry they didn't. Thanks for the kind words about the details.

Immaculate

The yurt is just as advertised: immaculately maintained, well appointed, and thoughtfully stocked with everything you would need for a fantastic stay. We enjoyed relaxation in the hot tub, a fire in the fantastic fire pit with tons of pre-cut wood, fun with the archery range, and the tranquil/removed environment. We cooked breakfast with the farm fresh eggs (a unique touch) and enjoyed billiards. We regret not utilizing the wood burning stove (next time) or the e-bikes, but our trip was short and there were too many good things for such a short time. I could only come up with one minor complaint which was a $50 fee for early check in (2:00 vs 4:00; which seems a bit much) but this could be industry standard and I could be naive. Otherwise, the owners could not have been more responsive and attentive and we couldn't have been happier. We would strongly recommend to anyone who is interested.

Fresh eggs for breakfast and a fire with the wood already cut is the version of the place we like best. We take the point on the early check-in fee. Thanks for such a complete write-up, and the wood stove will be waiting next time.

Great place

The yurt was a wonderful getaway. Everything was exactly as pictured. The hot tub was wonderful and archery was fun. Would only recommend the ebikes for experienced riders, as the roads around the yurt are very hilly dirt roads with several twists and turns. The eggs provided were delicious. We enjoyed our stay!

Just as pictured

Had an excellent getaway. Even with the sleeping rain one of the days, the were plenty of things to do indoors. The entire place was clean and lots of attention to detail. The farm fresh eggs are a generous touch. Definitely recommend a stay here.
