Great Getaway

This cabin was very clean and nicely set up. It made a great base to explore the islands and peninsula around it.

Lovely clean cabin

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely cabin, explored the greater area staying here as a base. My son and I took a lovely early morning walk down to the nearby beach area and saw seals and gorgeous PNW scenery. The cabin itself was extremely comfortable, had a big living area, great kitchen for cooking meals, and was spotlessly clean.

Nice private cabin

Cozy cabin that makes you feel at home. I really liked that the neighbors were separated by the woods. I wanted to get away from the city and enjoy a more remote place. It was easy to relax staying here.

Great Place, Bad Service

Cabin was peaceful, clean, and spacious. WiFi didn’t work and nobody from Vacasa was able (or willing) to help us get it resolved.

Quiet and private

Very nice house, no tv reception, got the password for the wifi and made calling and data possible. Had no cellphone service. Still a very nice time. Enjoyed the stay.

Wow

Kind of a dream come true. No way it's going to be as great as the photographs. Au Contraire! We could live here. The clever, functional layout on over 3 acres was shocking. No neighbors. Quiet. Gorgeous landscape. Maximum comfy recliners, cook's kitchen, giant wall of windows for light, two yummy beds...and the bathtub: OMG. Deep and luxurious, I filled it once and read for hours without needing to refill or reheat the water. don't know what kind of wizardry is at work, but it's AWESOME!| Clean as a whistle, well stocked, good wifi and TV. Next time we're coming for a week!

Quiet Winter Getaway

I was looking for a quiet private place to take a break from busy city life. The Buckhead cabin fit that requirement very well this Winter. Looking out through large picture windows one sees green grass and native evergreens (which screen adjacent properties nicely). I enjoyed using the loft bedroom upstairs, rather than the master bedroom on the ground floor. The fireplace furnace heated nicely the space, excepting that its thermostat button work intermittently. The kitchen, though not large, had the minimal basics with a big butcher block island that helped extend the counter space nicely. Be aware that dishes are done by hand as there is no washer. Overall, these were minor issues, and would happily rent this very nice "cabin" again.

A Great Getaway

We booked at the last minute and this cabin was just what we needed. It is nestled in a private lot and you are surrounded by trees. On our last morning, we woke up and there were two deer hanging out in the backyard. Lovely. Inside the space is ample and open. We cooked for our meals and the cabin had what we needed. We were able to use the stereo system to play music from Spotify while cooking, and that was really nice. We slept downstairs and found the mattress was nice and firm. We even tried out the adjustments the bed is capable of and it was nice to sit up for a few minutes to read before falling asleep. The location is about 30 min from Port Townsend (one of our favorite places), and an hour from Olympic National Forest. Very convenient for a day in town and/or a nice day hike. There were more areas close to the cabin we wanted to investigate, but ran out of time. Thank you for a lovely stay. We highly recommend a stay at Buckhead Cabin!

Great for what we needed

We booked this home to visit family close by, so it was mainly a place to eat a few meals and sleep. PROS: *Great location and close to where we wanted to be. *Much better and the same price as a nearby hotel. *Private and secluded but still easy to find. *Washer and dryer with laundry detergent. *Well stocked home with extra towels, toiletries, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap and more. *Clean! This home was clean and even smelled nice when we walked in. *Comfy beds! Both beds were very comfortable. *No problems with the internet, it always worked well and was easy to sign in. CONS: *No air conditioning and only 1 ceiling fan + 1 extra floor fan. This house gets very warm inside. It was 80 degrees indoors when we arrived and didn't cool off until we left the windows open all night. The next day it heated back up to 80 degrees. More box fans or even 2 portable AC units would make this home more comfortable in the warmer months. *NO Dishwasher! No place in the listing does it mention there is no dishwasher, it just doesn't list it. We had no idea until we arrived. If we stay here again I'd bring paper plates and plasticware. *Lack of dishes/bowls but lots of cups. *No outdoor table for eating. *No smart TV where you can log in to streaming apps. Satellite tv is your only option here. *The fire pit area could use new chairs and gravel underneath rather than grass. Any escaped embers could spark a fire.

Great space, great locations, kid friendly.

Easy access to multiple state parks, port Townsend, and west side Olympics. Well lit, private , with great trees and a nicefire circle in the back yard. Good base for cyclists. Kitchen is nice and open, but cooking gear could use an upgrade. Plates and utensils as well. Also a bit of dry wood would be great for those of us who like fires. Overall a wonderful space and we look forward to visiting again!
