I am usually very quick to decide how to rate a stay but this time I find it particularly difficult. On the one hand, it was great because the fishing cabin was spotless, included just about any appliance you can possibly think of, the host was most accommodating… love the boat trip to/from the cabin. On the other hand, it was terrible (no fault of the owner!): the really low winter temperatures meant that we woke up to a frozen river (had to wait until midday) before venturing out with the boat, return before it gets dark and before the temperatures dropped again … also had a power cut due to weather (host was most apologetic and tried her best but help could not get to us because the river was frozen).We left after 3 days and the host refunded the booking (note: Vrbo does not refund their fees).All in all the place has tremendous potential and the host is fantastic … there are so many affluents to visit. We will definitely be returning during spring/autumn time - after summer fishing season.
