Our apartment
The apartment is on the ground floor of our house, has 70 square meters of space for 1 - 4 people and was completely renovated in 2017. You will enjoy your stay in an apartment consisting of a living room, a double bedroom, a new kitchen and a bathroom. In addition, the apartment has a pull-out sofa bed (1.4mx 2.0m) and a sofa chair.
On request, a cot, high chair, washing machine and dryer can be provided.
From the large balcony of the hillside house you can enjoy a unique view of the mountainous landscape of the Sauerland.
A parking space is available for your vehicle on the property or in the immediate vicinity. This is as free as the WiFi connection in the house.
Recreational
The house is located at the gates of the Hanseatic city of Korbach in the district of Goldhausen, on the slope of the 562 m high Eisenberg. The Eisenberg is Germany's largest gold deposit and still hides 1.2 tons of gold. A hike on the gold nature trail or a visit to the gold mine is recommended.
The 24 m high Georg Viktor tower built on the Eisenberg allows an imposing panoramic view over the mountains of the Sauerland, to the Kellerwald, Burgwald or neighboring North Rhine-Westphalia.
Goldhausen is an ideal starting point for many holiday and vacation attractions in the Waldecker Land and the neighboring Sauerland. The three nearby lakes (Eder, Twiste and Diemelsee), the Kellerwald National Park and the attractive winter sports resorts of Willingen and Winterberg are particularly suitable for activities. The many well-developed cycling and hiking trails also offer enough space for outdoor sports activities.
On request we can provide you with a storage room. B. available for brought bikes or winter sports equipment.
We also recommend a visit to the half-timbered Korbach old town with its well-preserved medieval city wall and the local history museum, as well as a visit to the “Korbacher column”. The Korbach column is a 20 meter deep and several meter wide, filled column in the limestone of a former quarry on the southern edge of Korbach, which is considered an important fossil deposit.
