Designed for one-group stays, we have five completely new, bungalow-style units that offer a fun, Cal-boho style. The walled grounds feature a large pool, elegant cabanas, dining tent, firepit, BBQ, outside shower, and more to make your stay unforgettable.

El Cid is ideal for groups of friends, reunions, retreats, and gatherings of all kinds. Because you'll be the only guest here during your stay, you'll never have to worry about strangers intruding on your privacy. The hotel was completely renovated down to the studs in 2016, with all new EVERYTHING. We've designed the hotel to provide a simple, comfortable, uniquely Californian style--true to the spirit of Palm Springs.

All AvantStay guests have access to our 24/7 guest experience line, a dedicated hospitality manager, and hotel-grade amenities.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

Loved everything about our stay at Hotel El Cid!

Upon arrival, the host graciously helped us unload our car before the property tour, THANK YOU!! We loved the layout of the house, it worked amazingly having the separate units for a larger group. The house was super clean and well maintained. We would 100% stay here again next time we have a large group get together in Palm Springs.

Great Girls’ Trip Destination!

Everything about this property was perfect for our girls’ trip! We were celebrating a birthday, a bride, and a high school/college reunion all in one weekend and this location was fantastic! You have everything you need if you want to stay on site your whole trip and your walking distance to all the fun of you want to hit the town. The property managers are attentive and responsive and we felt very safe and cared for during our entire stay!! Would absolutely recommend to anyone with a group coming to Palm Springs!

The house was great, perfect set up, suite layout, especially for all adults. Everyone had their space and then spaces to come together at the pool and the fire pit. Central location and easy access to downtown PS. The street noise was a little loud, even at night.

Property and management exceeded all expectations

The pictures do not do the property justice. The pool and fire pit areas were fantastic. The rooms and kitchen we’re all very well appointed and easily/comfortably accommodated our group of 10 adults & 5 children. Property management was always prompt and helpful 24/7. The location was perfect-close to downtown, restaurants etc. We will definitely book this property again.

Great service

The staff and communication was amazing, and incredibly helpful. The one thing that I would recommend is more mirrors throughout the houses for getting ready. There was definitely not enough amongst 17 guest especially women. The other thing would be more toilet paper and paper towels. We had 2 rolls of toilet paper per room and 1 paper towel in the kitchen.

Wow - did not want to leave

What a terrific property? Is it a hotel? Is it a home? It is the perfect group getaway destination. Amazing location right in the middle of Palm Springs with easy walking access to many amenities. The property itself is really great. 7 independent rooms/suites, 2 of which are directly accessible from the main house that has a big kitchen, dining room, and 2 living spaces. The property is high end but has lots of personal and eclectic touch including a closet full of costumes to add some colour to your evening. All the other suites are great and well appointed. The property is total fenced in and inside the gates you will also find a great pool, a few cabanas, a tented area with a large table, and outdoor bar and a gas fireplace with a lots of seating. We all loved it and can't wait to return.

Best Bacherloette Spot!

I was so stressed because I wanted to plan the perfect bachelorette party for my best friend. We wanted a huge space where we never had to leave and we found it at El Cid! The grounds are completely gated and walled for privacy. The place is HUGE and allowed for us all to have our own beds and bathrooms as well as tons of space to hang as a group. The outside pool area with bar and cabanas are incredible. It’s nicer than any hotel I’ve every stayed in and the price was so much less than if we stayed at a resort. The owners referred us to a great yoga instructor who came to the property for private sessions. We also had a chef come and cook a few nights. The hotel is so close to downtown Palm Springs so we never had to drive! We Ubered from the airport and walked once we got to the hotel. We couldn’t have had a better time. Thanks Tim and Jessica!

It's every bit as amazing as you hope it will be!!!

OMG - this place is incredible!! We booked it for 3 generations of family (10 adults and 2 kids) to get together and have a fabulous weekend. I don't know if I have enough words to describe how incredible the property and it's owners are. First thing...when you're traveling with family, the separate bungalows makes it easy to spend a lot of time together without being right on top of each other for 4 days. We found that everyone either congregated in the main bungalow with the big kitchen, by the fire pit (sooooo nice at night!) or out by the pool. And when we wanted to take a break from everyone or the little ones needed a nap...just go to your private slice of heaven. And the decor.....it's like you're staying in a super funky boutique hotel without the crazy cost of one. Everywhere you turn, there's something interesting to look at and experience! And LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! We were less than 2 miles from the airport, a few blocks away from the main drag with shops, restaurants, art galleries and bars. There's also a CVS and Ralph's just up the block - made it sooo easy to stock the house for the days we were there. Even with all of the glorious hotels in Palm Springs, my family has already told me that they're expecting this compound to be our annual destination. I can't thank the homeowners enough for creating such a beautiful and functional space. It was truly a dream!!

Pure Luxury. Can't wait to go back!!

16 of us spent 5 glorious days here for my bachelorette party and we couldn't have had a better weekend! We had Hugh expectations going in because the pictures are incredible and we have high expectations... I can safely say that the beautiful pictures do not do this place justice. Jessica has created a completely magical escape with so many jaw dropping moments and surprises through thoughtful, quirky, ecclectic, AMAZING decor it's truly unbelievable. Pure Luxury from beginning to end, down to the best sheets and bath soap! The set up can't be beat - the outside bar, cabanas, huge dining area, the firepit - all incredible! This place is perfect for a large group. It is the definition of hip and glamorous. We felt like legit celebs all weekend! And then there's Jessica. The day we arrived there was an awful windstorm that blew a transformer on the block so the house was without power. Jessica was there.immwdiately with flashlights, lanterns, batteries and even cooler and more unexpected... Booze, snacks nail polish and card games (because we might be bored with the power outage). Who does that? Who even thinks of that?!?? Jessica! Can't recommend this place highly enough and can't wait to go back!!

Birthday weekend

Stayed there for my husband’s 50th with friends and family. The suites allowed us to have our own space and gather in the main living area and exterior. Days around the heated pool and nights around the fire pit. It was excellent. The worst part was the dishwasher that was an issue the whole weekend but they did send a service guy out twice. The listing is also a little confusion on the number of beds- but basically it’s 7 beds (queens and kings) ans 7 restrooms. And 3 living rooms with twin size couches.

Great family gathering place

This is our 2nd trip to the El Cid property-the last one was over 2 years ago. My wife and I hosted our 4 grown children and all of their spouses and 6 grandchildren ages 2 through 8. The property is laid out in such a way that each family could have its own private space but yet there are several central family gathering places including the largest unit with a full (Welk-appointed) kitchen, Fire pit for fun evening gatherings and the spectacular (hotel sized) pool. Any slight blips or issues with the property were immediately addressed by property management and we will definitely return to this property again.

Just finished multi day offsite for my office at El Cid. Was the perfect set up for us. Everything was so easy, the property was immaculate, and communication with the host got an immediate response. Highly recommend!

El Cid! Yes!

Our family of 17 had an incredible stay at El Cid. The property owner was extremely responsive throughout the whole process of booking, checking in, ideas, etc. The pool area is so lovely, it was nearly impossible to pull the kids out to do other things! The adults especially enjoyed all the different comfy areas for chatting, catching up, and chilling out. Thank you for a memorable Thanksgiving! We highly recommend El Cid.

Simply the BEST!

Hands down the best vacation rental I have encountered! Everyone had their own space and the pool area is to die for. Communication was easy and the hosts were so helpful getting us set up with dinners, massages, etc. Already planning my next trip to come back!

El Cid was just perfect!!

El Cid was perfect for our joint birthday party celebration! Throughout the process of booking the hotel and various services, Jennifer and Jessica were in constant communication, which made things so much easier. The property itself was spotless. The pictures don't do it justice; swimming in that pool/drinking a cocktail/sitting around the firepit with those mountains in the background was pure bliss. 12 people slept comfortably, each in their own bed or pull out. We're already talking about returning not for anyone's birthday, but just to stay at this property. Not to mention, several chefs and bartenders have served at this property and know the ins and outs ... we barely had to leave the property.

Beautiful, Close To Downtown Property

This property exceeded expectations. Very convenient to all Palm Springs has to offer, beautiful & updated decor, comfortable and spacious. The pool area was great for our whole group with plenty of shade and comfortable outdoor furniture.

Best Bachelorette Party Venue

Hotel El Cid was the perfect location for my bachelorette party! The location to the downtown was perfect for a morning walk and a quick Uber ride back from dinner. The house itself was incredible with surprises around every corner (ex. costumer closet). The decor was perfect for a girl's trip with chic cabanas near the pool and a cozy firepit in the center of the property. The owner/staff were easy to work with and accommodated all our questions during booking. They also helped us identify concierge services in the area before arriving and were made check-in a breeze! 10/10 would recommend!

Perfect group stay!

I came with a group of 16 friends and we could not have had a better experience. Jen helped arrange a cocktail making class, personal chef, cooking class, and yoga class so we practically never had to leave the house! It was beautiful and so relaxing.

Fabulous place for a group getaway

I can’t imagine a better place for a group/large family getaway (especially during Covid). We had plenty of space, large bathrooms, gorgeous pool area and cozy fire pit. The place was incredibly clean and management was very responsive. I would recommend this place wholeheartedly.
