Detached house by a stream, on the Way of St. James (Camino de Santiago). The mountains and meadows of this region of the inland Basque Country surround you (cows and sheep graze). The Osquich Pass is nearby. The owners' house is opposite yours (shared courtyard with one reserved parking space). At the rear, on the east side, beside the small (shallow) stream, is a pleasant private (open) stone terrace with a few steps leading down to the water. This former farmhouse is laid out over two levels. Ground floor: Living room (opening onto a terrace via two steps): - Fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, oven, fridge-freezer, 2-burner gas hob, 2-burner induction hob) - Lounge area (TV) - Veranda (entrance from the courtyard) - Shower room/WC (washing machine) Upstairs: - 2 bedrooms (2 double beds). Beds made upon arrival, towels provided. Cleaning service available. - Shower room, separate WC. Electric heating is extra (flat rate). Unfenced grounds, terrace, garden furniture, electric griddle, parasol. Mauléon 18 km. Saint-Palais 25 km. St Jean Pied de Port 22 km. WiFi internet access Ideal for hikers, small comfortable house on the edge of a stream, surrounded by pastures, in the heart of the mountains of the Basque Country.
