Tucked up above a detached garage you’ll truly feel like you’ve escaped to your own secluded treehouse. Head up the stairs of Southport Tree Escape to your own king-sized suite with luxury linens and a spacious, completely updated full bathroom.

There’s also an eat-in kitchen, equipped with all the cookware, appliances, and essentials required to satisfy the most exacting chef. Note: chef alert! While you’re out exploring Southport, be sure to pick up some fresh seafood at nearby markets dotting the Intracoastal Waterway.

You’ll also find modern conveniences including a Nest thermostat, USB charging ports, and, feel free to pack light: you’ve got your own washer/dryer as well. There’s even a comfy loveseat to curl up in for movie nights or rainy days, but, the private deck will probably be your favorite spot!

Spend sunny mornings lounging with a cup of coffee before hitting downtown or the beaches. Or take an afternoon to watch the wildlife pass through.

HOUSE RULES

Guests are required to sign our Rental Agreement per the NC Vacation Rental Act within 3 days of booking or 24 hours before arrival, whichever is earliest. Guests are required to provide a photo ID upon request.

Security deposit required - $300 hold to be authorized on guest’s credit card by host 2 days prior to arrival and released within 5 days of departure if no issues.

Refunds will not be offered for any reason outside of the cancellation window. Please purchase trip insurance to protect your trip.

Not safe or suitable for infants or children. NO pets - our family dog is not always compatible with other pets.

NO parties or events of any kind. STRICT maximum of 2 guests.

Smoking is not permitted inside the listing. "Smoking" includes the use of tobacco, marijuana, e-cigarettes, etc.

Parking for up to 2 standard vehicles is available off the circle next to the sign "Tree Escape Parking". Trucks and trailers come and go regularly from our home so please leave the main driveway and circle clear. You may park at the bottom of the stairs for temporarily while unloading or loading your vehicle.

The main home on the property, fenced in back yard, front yard, garage and storage area behind the garage are all part of our private residence and are not accessible to guests.

Quiet hours of 10pm to 8am are strictly enforced.

Great set up!

First time staying in Southport fora short weekend. Tree Escape was a good location, just a mile away from downtown and very walkable. The studio apartment was clean, well appointed and had updated decor and amenities. Communication was great. The only thing I would change was the apartment had a strong industrial bathroom cleaner smell reminiscent of a fire station or school locker room. Not a huge negative, but definitely there if you are sensitive to smells. Otherwise, it was very nice and I would recommend highly.

Better than a hotel stay

This loft was fabulously designed with an ample kitchen and huge bathroom….the host was very accommodating and responded promptly. I recommend this quiet retreat to anyone rather than a hotel room.

A little paradise in the treetops!!!

This is the perfect place for a quick getaway from the hustle and bustle. Set above a garage is a little oasis with cathedral ceilings, super comfy king size bed and a large kitchen. This place had everything we needed and even things we never expected to find. Ginga has stocked this small space with all the essentials, plus added things (i.e. tons of hair product, plenty of towels, spices, extra blankets etc.) We only stayed 2 nights but I can see staying there for a longer amount of time. Beautiful outdoor deck to catch the rays and eat a leisure meal. Thanks for a very relaxing time and I appreciate the added communication...

Southport Tree Escape

The Tree Escape was a great place to stay while visiting Southport. Close to downtown, restaurants, pubs and wild turkeys! We appreciate Ginga and her husband as they are very nice people. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Life has its ways of letting you know where you need to be. After a health scare in 2014, I decided I wasn’t going to wait any longer to build the home I’d been dreaming of. While I’d traveled all up and down the Carolina Coast, I knew that Southport was where I should be. Soon after, I met my Aussie husband and the rest, as they say, is history. We began a home remodeling business and have spent our time breathing new life into homes in our beloved community and beyond.

Southport Tree Escape: When we decided we wanted our own space to share with guests, we rolled up our sleeves and finished the guest area above our detached garage to create a contemporary coastal retreat - our very own Southport Tree Escape. We were very pleased with the results—and our guests have been, too. We love welcoming guests to Southport, North Carolina - America’s Happiest Seaside Town.

Pinehurst Brews & Snooze: Inspired by fond memories of attending equestrian competitions years ago, we took several weekend getaways to Pinehurst and neighboring Southern Pines. We love the atmosphere and thought it would be a wonderful addition to our portfolio. We had a ball with the remodel and are pleased to offer Pinehurst Brews & Snooze to Pinehurst, North Carolina area travelers.
