Tucked up above a detached garage you’ll truly feel like you’ve escaped to your own secluded treehouse. Head up the stairs of Southport Tree Escape to your own king-sized suite with luxury linens and a spacious, completely updated full bathroom.

There’s also an eat-in kitchen, equipped with all the cookware, appliances, and essentials required to satisfy the most exacting chef. Note: chef alert! While you’re out exploring Southport, be sure to pick up some fresh seafood at nearby markets dotting the Intracoastal Waterway.

You’ll also find modern conveniences including a Nest thermostat, USB charging ports, and, feel free to pack light: you’ve got your own washer/dryer as well. There’s even a comfy loveseat to curl up in for movie nights or rainy days, but, the private deck will probably be your favorite spot!

Spend sunny mornings lounging with a cup of coffee before hitting downtown or the beaches. Or take an afternoon to watch the wildlife pass through.

HOUSE RULES

Guests are required to sign our Rental Agreement per the NC Vacation Rental Act within 3 days of booking or 24 hours before arrival, whichever is earliest. Guests are required to provide a photo ID upon request.

Security deposit required - $300 hold to be authorized on guest’s credit card by host 2 days prior to arrival and released within 5 days of departure if no issues.

Refunds will not be offered for any reason outside of the cancellation window. Please purchase trip insurance to protect your trip.

Not safe or suitable for infants or children. NO pets - our family dog is not always compatible with other pets.

NO parties or events of any kind. STRICT maximum of 2 guests.

Smoking is not permitted inside the listing. "Smoking" includes the use of tobacco, marijuana, e-cigarettes, etc.

Parking for up to 2 standard vehicles is available off the circle next to the sign "Tree Escape Parking". Trucks and trailers come and go regularly from our home so please leave the main driveway and circle clear. You may park at the bottom of the stairs for temporarily while unloading or loading your vehicle.

The main home on the property, fenced in back yard, front yard, garage and storage area behind the garage are all part of our private residence and are not accessible to guests.

Quiet hours of 10pm to 8am are strictly enforced.

Excellent Visit in Snow

We had a wonderful time staying at the Tree Escape. How many times do you get to see snow in Southport? Tree Escape was more beautiful than we expected. We were also able to meet Ginga and Oz which was a bonus.

Better than a hotel stay

This loft was fabulously designed with an ample kitchen and huge bathroom….the host was very accommodating and responded promptly. I recommend this quiet retreat to anyone rather than a hotel room.

Excellent accommodations. The unit us very well appointed. We really enjoyed riding our bikes around Southport into the waterfront. Everything is so close. Just what we were looking for.

Ginga, Oz and Roxy,Thank you for a delightful stay in the Southport Treehouse. We immediately felt right at home. I loved sipping coffee on the deck and playing frisbee with Roxy.There was not one thing lacking - the attention to detail was impressive. From the well-placed notes throughout the home, to the app, to the aesthetics. You won’t need to bring anything except a beach towel. There’s even an umbrella in the closet! I loved that we were able to walk to town (much to the complaint of my husband, lol). It was the perfect, quiet, relaxing stay for which we were hoping.

The perfect Escape!

Absolutely beautiful!! Open and spacious, impeccably decorated and completely stocked with everything anyone would need from kitchen supplies to bathrooms supplies and everything in between. Quiet, wooded lot and large deck.. just perfect. The owners were so friendly and welcoming truly made us feel at home. We highly recommend the TREE ESCAPE for the perfect getaway!!

Loved that we could ride our bikes into town- great there was a deck to sit on:)

All was good except whatever cleaning product or air freshener used was very overwhelming:( I have asthma and really triggered my attack! Great place though.

Peace & quiet get away

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the Tree Escape! We spent most of our time on the deck enjoying nature as the loft is pushed back off the street. Ginga has everything you will need. Wonderful place!!

This studio apartment was cozy, well appointed with lots of thoughtful touches. It was quiet and the hosts were great. The kitchen and bathroom had everything needed for our week. The hostess even supplied things like shampoo, some coffee , salt and pepper, napkins, and other little things that aren’t always included but which are very helpful. The bed was comfy and the place was immaculate. We highly recommend!

A little paradise in the treetops!!!

This is the perfect place for a quick getaway from the hustle and bustle. Set above a garage is a little oasis with cathedral ceilings, super comfy king size bed and a large kitchen. This place had everything we needed and even things we never expected to find. Ginga has stocked this small space with all the essentials, plus added things (i.e. tons of hair product, plenty of towels, spices, extra blankets etc.) We only stayed 2 nights but I can see staying there for a longer amount of time. Beautiful outdoor deck to catch the rays and eat a leisure meal. Thanks for a very relaxing time and I appreciate the added communication...

Great set up!

First time staying in Southport fora short weekend. Tree Escape was a good location, just a mile away from downtown and very walkable. The studio apartment was clean, well appointed and had updated decor and amenities. Communication was great. The only thing I would change was the apartment had a strong industrial bathroom cleaner smell reminiscent of a fire station or school locker room. Not a huge negative, but definitely there if you are sensitive to smells. Otherwise, it was very nice and I would recommend highly.
