About this property

Gîte de la Huppe - VAUDEBARRIER

Both avid hikers, Odile and Jean welcome you to their charming, authentic traditional farmhouse, built in 1860 and lovingly renovated into a peaceful retreat. Nestled on the edge of pastures (where horses graze seasonally), it offers panoramic views from a hilltop overlooking a verdant valley of wooded meadows through which flows the Ozolette (a river teeming with fish). Enjoy peace and tranquility in the heart of the unspoiled Charolais countryside (adjacent to a vast protected area designated as a ZNIEFF for its rich flora and fauna), nestled in a quiet residential hamlet on the outskirts of a typical small rural village (with a multi-sports pitch just steps away). The magnificent surrounding landscape, with its rolling hills, blends agriculture and nature, and is immersed in the sublime local bocage dotted with idyllic ponds (where the famous Charolais cows graze seasonally) near a small forest. Spacious and very comfortable cottage. Fully equipped with high-quality amenities. Warm country charm with contemporary touches, enhanced by the original beams and timber frame. Cozy and ultra-comfortable atmosphere. Pleasant bedrooms nestled under the eaves in a "cabin cocoon" style. Full of charm and character. Intimate property, meticulously landscaped with flowers, greenery, and trees, featuring a large courtyard with a spacious south-facing terrace, a lawned garden area with a swing, a pétanque court, and a ping-pong table (covered if needed). Beautiful unobstructed views of the surrounding countryside. Composition: Detached house. Wi-Fi (fiber optic). Heat pump heating. Air conditioning. Ground floor: living room/kitchen/lounge, 1 bedroom (double bed 160x200cm) with ensuite shower room (shower/WC), separate WC, large laundry room. First floor: 2 bedrooms (one with a double bed 160x200cm / the other with four single beds 90x190cm), shower room, separate WC. Grounds (1000m²) + gravel terrace overlooking the courtyard + garage (1 space) + bicycle storage + private parking. All amenities, including supermarkets, are 5 km away. Peaceful little corner of the countryside! Charming authentic traditional farmhouse of character dating from 1860 very carefully restored - nestled on a pleasant garden with a pétanque court, a swing & a ping-pong table - nestled in the quiet within a small rural residential village, 5 km from Charolles, the "Venice of Charolais", famous charming market town full of history, fief of Charles the Bold (numerous amenities on site including supermarkets, as well as sports & leisure facilities). Absolute tranquility nestled in the heart of the preserved Charolais countryside, a magnificent hilly landscape combining agriculture & nature (largely protected as a ZNIEFF for its rich ecosystems), in the heart of the sublime local bocage dotted with rivers, ponds & beautiful wild forests, not far from Mont Saint-Cyr (the highest point in southern Burgundy), nestled between the green valley of the Arconce & the first wooded foothills of the Beaujolais massif (partly protected as a "Natura 2000 Zone"). Ideally located on the Romanesque churches circuit and several marked hiking trails, including a "greenway" (a very extensive network of similar hiking trails crisscrossing the area, suitable for walking or mountain biking), 12 km from the "Cycloroute71" (Saône-et-Loire cycling route), 13 km from the "Véloire" Green Way (running alongside the Loire, the last "wild river in Europe" protected as a "Natura 2000" site) connected to EuroVelo 6 and the Canal du Centre Green Way, 16 km from a marked mountain bike route certified "VTT-FFC" (linked to a vast network of similar routes radiating outwards from the Brionnais region), and about 40 km from the first vineyards of the Mâconnais ("Burgundy Wine Route") and Beaujolais (the world's first vineyard recognized as a "UNESCO Global Geopark" / various wine routes). to discover). Ideal for exploring the region (RCEA access 6 km away): 17 km from La Clayette, 16 km from the Sacred Heart city of Paray-le-Monial, 25 km from Saint-Christophe-en-Brionnais and its iconic weekly "Livestock Market" dating from the late 15th century (one of the oldest in France, dedicated to the local Charolais star!), 29 km from Digoin (river marina connected to the Canal du Centre and the "tranquil canal" linking Digoin to Roanne), 33 km from the medieval village of Semur-en-Brionnais, awarded the very rare "Most Beautiful Villages of France" label, 33 km from Marcigny ("Cluniac site" famous for its Monday morning market established in 1266), 37 km from Charlieu, 39 km from the illustrious abbey town of Cluny, 48 km from Beaujeu (historic capital of Beaujolais), 50 km from the magnificent jewel The landscaped grounds of the Roches de Solutré & Vergisson, a designated "Grand Site de France", are located 55 km from Mâcon (Mâcon Loché TGV station is 53 km away).
