The Steinhuder Meer is the largest lake in Lower Saxony. It is ideal for cyclists, hikers or water sports (sailing, surfing, kitesurfing). But also for those who just want to relax and enjoy nature. Boat rentals for sailing, electric, pedal or rowing boats are available on site.

The landscape is diverse with dunes, bogs, heathland, wet meadows, deciduous and coniferous forests and reed zones.
