About this property

The Farmhouse

Spread over 3 floors, the farmhouse has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, sleeping 6 to 8 people . Built in the late 18th century, it has been carefully restored and retains its original charm and character .
The farmhouse has a spacious dining room with original stone fireplace . The large kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering holidays and the living room opens directly onto a private garden .
The master bedroom on the first floor has a king-size bed and exposed beams. Adjoining the master bedroom are two further twin bedrooms and a single bathroom set in the original dovecote . In the basement, there is a study, an en-suite bathroom (with shower) and a large double bedroom with French doors opening directly onto the garden.

Mooie locatie in een prachtige vallei

Een ruim authentiek huisje, gezellig ingericht. Alhoewel, niet op de site van homeaway vermeld, viel het delen van het zwembad met 2 andere huisjes wel mee. Twee mooie wandelingen gedaan, oa grotten van Gouffre du Padirac, lokale kleine marktjes en Rocamandour bezocht, met daarna een afkoeling met de kids in het zwembad. Aangename reis.

Relaxing summer break

Laborie is such a beautiful and welcoming holiday home. Cécile and Sean helpfully provided us with information about the area and tips on places to go. The house is located very close to the small village of Meyronne and the Dordogne, and within easy travel distance of caves and traditional French villages if you want to explore. Otherwise the pool and scenic views from the garden are perfect if you'd prefer to put your feet up and relax. We visited as a family in August with parents and children and all of us agree this was an amazing holiday. Would love to come back! .

Super; gut gepflegtes Haus in traumhafter Lage

Wir ; zwei Familien mit je 2 Kindern, hatten eine wunderschöne Woche.Das Haus war sehr gepflegt und sauber. Ebenso der Pool im Garten, den wir uns mit zwei weiteren Mietparteien teilten.Der freundliche Vermieter war zu jeder Zeit erreichbar bei evt.Fragen. Wir waren rundum zufrieden!

Très belle location

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au calme dans cette grande maison de caractère très bien équipée et très propre. On s'y sent bien ! Très beau séjour dans ce gite situé au bord de la Dordogne; Un espace intérieur très agréable , propre , décoré avec goût ; les propriétaires très accueillants, une piscine toujours nettoyée ; rien à redire; Nous avons passé un sympathique séjour , dans une région très pittoresque. Séjour très agréable !!!

Très belle demeure,confortable et propre! Les 5 enfants et les 4 adultes ont très vite trouvé leur marque! Le jardin privatif est très agréable et la piscine bien sécurisée. Sehr schöne Unterkunft

Wir waren für eine sehr schöne Woche im Haus "Bread Oven" zu Gast. Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und war auch sehr sauber. Hervorzuheben sind die wunderbar bequemen Betten. Und unbedingt im nahe gelegenen Restaurant "La Terasse" speisen! Dieter K.

Une très belle semaine de détente en famille

Nous logions dans le "Four à pain": chaleureux, bien équipé, avec un petit matelas d'appoint dans la chambre d'enfants il était parfait pour une famille de 5. Le gîte est très bien situé, idéal pour faire de nombreuses visites sans passer ses journées sur la route. Quant aux propriétaires, ils sont absolument charmants, l'ambiance est détendue, familiale. On se sent vraiment bien à Laborie !

Excellent logement avec tout ce qu il faut pour passer un très agréable séjour L équipement est neuf, le logement est spacieux et très bien réhabilite , La piscine est idéale pour se rafraîchir après la découverte des nombreux sites et villages à visiter ( padirac, rocamadour,...) Calme et nature préservée . À conseiller absolument. Les propriétaires sont chaleureux et disponibles. Nous reviendrons à l occasion d un prochain séjour

"Wir haben im August 2012...

"Wir haben im August 2012 mit 4 Erwachsenen und 4 Kindern das farmhouse bewohnt und eine tolle Zeit dort verbracht. Das Haus, das Gelände und die Umgebung sind wunderschön. Das Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, gut ausgestattet und bietet selbst für 8 Personen ausreichend Platz. Wir haben den großzügigen Garten und den schönen Pool viel genutzt, die Kinder hätten am liebsten ihre komplette Ferienzeit auf dem Gelände verbracht. Die Besitzer Sean und Cecile sind ausgesprochen nett und hilfsbereit und immer ansprechbar. Die Gegend und das Ferienhaus bieten so viele Möglichkeiten, dass wir sehr gerne noch einmal zurückkehren würden!"

"Nous avons été totalemen...

"Nous avons été totalement séduits par cette location. La maison aménagée avec gout et entièrement équipée ( lave vaisselle, machine à laver) est très belle et fonctionnelle. Idéale pour deux couples avec enfants ( nous avions chacun notre salle de bain), au calme, proche de très beaux lieux touristiques. La piscine est très agréable, entièrement securisée, nous avions notre jardin sans vis à vis ou nous avons pris des apéros interminables :-). Les propriétaires sont des personnes très sympathiques et disponibles!"

"De laatste week van juli...

"De laatste week van juli 2011 hebben wij in het Farmhouse vakantie gevierd met ons gezin van zeven. Meestal kamperen we maar dit was toch wel heel lekker, vooral toen het een hele dag bleef regenen. Het huis ligt prachtig aan een stil weggetje, is ruim, schoon, zeer compleet, comfortabel en sfeervol. Bedden zijn al opgemaakt. De kinderen speelden in het zwembad en probeerden in de tuin hagedisjes te vangen. De Dordogne is vlakbij het huis. We hebben er heerlijk gekanood tussen de hoge rotswanden. We hebben in de rivier gespeeld en gezwommen en liggend op rubber banden hebben we ons lekker in de zon laten meedrijven met de stroom. Het is een feest om in dat gebied met de auto rond te rijden. De kinderen vonden het aapjespark bij Rocamadour erg leuk. Je kunt de aapjes uit de hand voeren. Oh ja, de eigenaars, Sean en Cecile zijn super aardig en behulpzaam. Het was handig voor ons dat ze Engelstalig zijn. We celebrated our holidays in the farmhouse with our family of seven people the last week of July 2011. Usually we are on a camping but this was really nice, especially that one day when it kept raining. The house is on a quiet little road, is spacious, clean, very complete, comfortable and homely. Beds were ready. The children played in the pool and tried to catch the small lizards in the garden. The river Dordogne is close by. We had a beautiful kayak-trip and we have been playing and swimming in the river. Lying on rubber tires in the river we relaxed in the sun, floating with the stream. It is fun driving around in the area. The children loved the monkey park near Rocamadour. You can feed the monkies from your hand. Oh and Sean and Cecil are really friendly and helpful. we were happy that they speak English."

"We stayed in the Bread O...

"We stayed in the Bread Oven which had been beautifully renovated and was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The location was delightful and very peaceful - just a 20 minute walk to a bar/restaurant in Meyronne on the banks of the Dordogne river or, if you want a longer walk, on to St Sozy. There is loads to see and do in the Dordogne/Lot area or just you could chill-out in the garden or by the pool at the Laborie. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this accommodation to others. Cecile and Sean were the perfect hosts - and we had a really great stay there."
