Family enjoyed the stay but unit / building needs some TLC...
Our family of 6 fit perfectly. The kitchen is big and the building was quiet for the most part, even over New Years Eve. You can walk to the ski hill / lift and it's a short drive to the village.
The unit is dated — we tried to avoid using the kitchen lights, for example, because they're harsh, hospital florescent bulbs — but it's a cozy apartment if you're okay with a building from the 1980s.
The building is old. We did not have a washer/dryer or hot tub during our stay because they both needed repair. The elevator also broken down at one point. The host was kind enough to reimburse us, but I would look elsewhere if you require specific amenities like that. The check-in / -out process is kind of a pain as well — pick-up and drop-off keys from a separate building in the village.

We would like to thank you for taking the time to share your review with us Strat! We always aim to be as transparent as possible with our listings and we are disappointed to learn that this did not meet your expectations. We do offer a variety of listings and we would be more than happy to work with you personally to ensure we find the right fit for all of your needs and more during your next visit to Whistler!
The stay was very mid, the room was spacious for 8 but it was very very dated, dirty on the walls and floors and the pots and pans were also dirty. We tried to grill out one night and the grill didn't heat up at all, we had wasted our food we got and the top was broken too. There was only half a roll of paper towel for our entire stay, there were no cleaning supplies for dishes, along with that there were no kitchen amenities in terms of olive oil...ect like normal VRBOs. There were no spa/hot tub towels we had to use our shower towels. There is a hot tub reservation that was not listed on the listing at all and when I requested a compensation for this as we had to now change several plans to accommodate specific hot tub times as they would fill up in the morning and the staff said no as it was claimed to be a "shared" hot tub, however I have never had to reserve a spot only 1 time a day at any other whistler stay. Check in was extremely painful as we had to fill out a form before receiving our door code and it the instructions only came when i asked for them. There were no check out instructions either.

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear that your stay did not meet expectations. The cleanliness concerns you mentioned, including the condition of the walls, floors, cookware, and BBQ, are not acceptable and will be addressed with our housekeeping and maintenance teams right away. We also apologize for the lack of basic supplies and kitchen essentials, as well as the inconvenience of not having proper towels for the hot tub. We understand your frustration regarding the hot tub reservation system, especially as this was not clearly communicated in advance. Your feedback about this, along with the check-in process and lack of clear instructions, is very important and will be used to improve communication for future guests. We’re sorry that these issues impacted your experience and appreciate you bringing them to our attention so we can work on doing better.
