In the peaceful town of Rock Falls-Tomahawk, lies a cozy 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom log home retreat, perfect for your next Northwoods family vacation. Situated on the Grandfather Flowage, a 184 acre lake bordering the Wisconsin River, you can enjoy nature and waterfront views from the comfort of your own "tree house" porch. The property has 1.5 wooded acres with 150 feet of lake frontage.

Inside, you'll find 2 cozy family rooms, one on each level, perfect for gathering with family and friends as well as having separate spaces for enjoying different activities. Unwind by the fireplace or enjoy a movie night with the Smart TV and DVD player. The well provisioned kitchen is equipped with all the essentials, including all new major appliances - stove, oven, refrigerator, and dishwasher, making meal prep a breeze.

For your convenience, all three bathrooms are supplied with beach, bath and hand towels, basic soaps, and hair dryers. Bedding is provided for all beds. Families will appreciate the games, puzzels, books, and outdoor play area, while remote workers can utilize the desk for a productive stay.

Step outside and relax on the extra large pier deck, go for a swim or take the kayaks out for a scenic paddle. Bring your pole and fish from the pier. Great Up North Getaway

This is our second time staying at the property. The water amenities are awesome, and are perfect for kids and adults alike. The house is in great shape, with plenty of space for 3 families. Would recommend this for anyone looking for a northern wisconsin getaway without needing to drive too far.

Relaxing Family vacation

We enjoyed a fantastic vacation with family. The house was so nice, up to date and clean! Too many amenities to list and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Beds were very comfy and the kitchen was well stocked for all our.needs. We loved the summer activities on the lake, however the fall months would be beautiful too!

Very nice place

This was our second stay here. Lovely house, fabulous screen porch, and quiet location for a multi-generational family get-together. There are areas to hang separately or be together, both inside and outside. Comfortable and quality accommodation, and we highly recommend it.

Family Time in Tomahawk

The beautiful property and welcoming decor of the house was a great place for making memories as a family. Life happens when a summer storm blows by and the electricity goes off. The generator turned on right away and communication from the host was immediate, which was appreciated. A great kitchen was a venue for much cooking. Enjoyed our stay.

Just as good second time around

We stayed here last year and loved it so much, we came back this year (a first for us). The house is lovely, everything down to the measuring spoons is of high quality, and you cannot beat the screened-in porch for relaxing among the trees—even in the rain. New dock with built-in chairs, table and umbrella was a great addition, along with a king and queen bed replacing former queen and twin beds. Highly recommend!

Beautiful vacation property

We had a wonderful week at this vacation home. It was clean and spacious. The online pictures were pretty, but it was even better in person! Having three bathrooms was a plus when traveling with family, as well as multi levels for sleeping. There was privacy for more than one family, as well as space to be together for meals, talking, and games with the grandkids. The grandkids loved everything. There isn’t a beach, but the kids still loved the water for swimming with life jackets, playing and fishing on the dock, floating on paddle boards and boat rides in grandpa’s fishing boat. The owner is very responsive. Of all the WI vacation homes we have stayed at, this is by far the best!

Family Vacation

Plenty of space for downtime for all 9 of us, many places to relax. The screened in porch at the level of the trees was a favorite. We really enjoyed the use of the kayaks, rowboat and canoe. The kitchen was so well stocked with spices, and all the kitchen tools one needs for cooking. The decorative touches in the home added to the feeling of vacation mode. Our host communicated promptly to any questions we had.

Check in was an absolute breeze. Communication with Jackie was so easy and pleasant. The layout of the home was perfect for our family. Plenty of sleeping/eating area options. The neighborhood is incredibly peaceful. Was the perfect place to decompress. Great memory making, spending time on the water and nightly fireside conversation. Check out was very easy. Exceptional property

This was a great property and amenities. The cleanest property we have stayed at. Many different areas to the house and grounds to relax in, all with different aspects. We loved sitting in the dock chairs having morning coffee. The screened in porch area, called the Treehouse, was quiet and is a great spot to sit if there is a rain shower. Loved having access to kayaks and canoe as part of the rental. Used them daily. Great hosts as well! Looking forward to going back!!

Fantastic Lake Cabin

This place is gorgeous! The cabin was spacious with lots of room for a family to gather and have fun by the lake. The cabin is right on the river, set in a wooded area. The cabin is beautifully decorated, very clean, and super comfortable. Jackie, the owner, has stocked it with all the necessities one would need. It is perfect for relaxing or outdoor activities. The dock, kayaks, canoe, fire pit, and grill were a plus. Check-in was easy. Jackie was very responsive and quick to respond to our questions. We loved our stay and plan to return in the future. We highly recommend this property.

We just returned from our stay here yesterday, it was absolutely wonderful! This home is beautiful, very clean and has everything you need. The quality of things from dishes to bath towels was top notch. Loved sitting in the tree room for our morning coffee and a few of the mornings we were able to watch a mama and her two baby deer! We also loved being right on the water! Our husbands did alot of fishing. Contact with the property manager Jackie was great, too - she even recommended a restaurant nearby that we visited and the food was great! Would not hesitate to return!

Great up North getaway

We fit our family of 7 comfortably for our 5 day stay in this spacious property. The beds and pull were all very comfortable. Sheets and towels all smelled fresh and clean. The kitchen is stocked with all the cooking supplies you could need. Screened in porch was a great escape to relax without any bugs. But bugs weren’t a huge issue as the owners have the property sprayed. Our kids loved the kayaks, canoe and boat. Owners have several life jackets and vests of all size available. They have pretty much thought of everything for their guests. Would highly recommend for families.

Relaxing Stay with all the amenities of home, but better

The home is gorgeous! Jackie had everything we needed on hand. We loved fishing from the dock. We didn’t catch much there, but did land a walleye, smallmouth, and a dogfish. We actually caught a few crayfish on a worm with a bobber down there. (caught a Muskie, smallie, and a load of panfish for dinner on Lake Alice) Great to have games for the kids and we really enjoyed time out on the screened in patio. Spotted a doe with two fawns who visited each morning. Jebs fish fry (less than two miles away) was perfect. We also really enjoyed Castaways on the river in Tomahawk. Great location, helpful and friendly host, beautiful home! Would definitely recommend!

Best rental in 15 years

We’ve been renting vacation homes for 15 years, and this was the very best. That’s not to say others weren’t excellent, but this one outranked them all on many levels: - Spotlessly clean - Row boat, kayaks and canoe provided - Beautiful grounds - Indoor and outdoor games - Screened-in porch was so lovely to sit in on cool evenings - SO well appointed. They thought of everything. - Beautiful, comfortable furniture and decor - Enough comfortable seating for 5 adults and more. I can’t stress how difficult that is to come by. Some places sleep 8, but have only a couch and a chair in the living space. - Communication with host was easy and helpful. - HIGHLY recommend.

Beautiful home and property

Our family group of 6 adults and 3 children all enjoyed this beautiful well-appointed home and grounds for our vacation week up north. We were all so comfortable no matter where we were on the property. There was room to spread out or be together inside and out. Every single bed was comfortable with lovely bedding and pillows. The kitchen is so well thought out and stocked with quality dishes, cookware, utensils, spices, and more. The towels throughout the home are lovely. We enjoyed the screened-in porch very much. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay carefree and relaxing. There was a storm where the power went out for hours and their whole house generator kicked in which was so nice. Our family appreciated and enjoyed using the kayaks, canoe, and rowboat and also sitting around the campfire comfortably. Our grandchildren enjoyed finding frogs that came out towards evening. The host, Jackie, was lovely to communicate with and very helpful.

Serenity on the Wisconsin River.

A great stay characterized by quiet, river side fires. It is a beautiful, spacious, well maintained home. It is recent construction, 2006. The screened in porch is a comfortable space to read and enjoy the clean, fresh air. It is beautifully decorated with all the modern amenities.

Home Away from Home with a View

LOVED this house and property!! Clean, comfortable, spacious, private, and supplied with everything you will need for your stay! Brand new comfortable beds with cozy blankets! Tree House ( screened in porch ) is a peaceful place to hang out/read with a gorgeous view! Down by the water - great fishing off the pier/ fire pit with added bonus of tiki torches! Excellent in every way!

We stayed here for a full week to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with our children & grandchildren. There were plenty of comfortable beds and 3 bathrooms! The property was attractive, comfortable with a very well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed being together, but having 2 levels of the home & the great outdoor area near the water also gave us space apart if desired. Hosts were very responsive and I would gladly stay here again in the future & I highly recommend it.

Relaxation plus

This cabin was the best place to relax! It was very clean and spacious, also well decorated and filled with everything you need. The treehouse, as another guest called it, was my favorite spot. It is the screened in porch, but on the second floor/main floor, so you feel like you are in the trees. The dogs enjoyed it too! Our guests enjoyed it as much as we did. The owners thought of everything, it is well supplied with life jackets, even for the dogs. The river is beautiful, especially in the morning. Kayaking and swimming were very enjoyable. It is conveniently located between Merrill and Tomahawk. We seriously enjoyed ourselves and hope to return soon. Thank you Jackie and Jim!

As life-long residents of Southeastern Wisconsin, our family has been vacationing in Northern WI for 3 generations. We've enjoyed camping and resorting but our best times have been spent in the course of renting VRBO properties, many times shared with out of state family. We are happy to have recently acquired a property of our own to share with others. We have tried to re-create the best aspects of VRBO homes we have had the pleasure to rent and wish wholeheartedly to provide our guests with a relaxing and memorable visit to our peaceful piece of the Northwoods.

This property has everything we were looking for. Beautifully landscaped wooded waterfront 1.5 acre lot on a peaceful no-through road. Gradual slope to 150 feet of frontage. Remote yet not too far of a drive for groceries and restaurants. Located mid-state so easy travel to and from larger cities. Lots of trails nearby for ATV and Snowmobiles, 40 minutes to Granite Peak for skiing, close to public hunting land.
