Nice home
We needed a place to stay for our grandson’s regatta in Oak Ridge. This place was very reasonably priced and near enough (30 min) to be perfect. It turned out to be a bit larger than expected. Pictures show a remodeled home and refer to small/tiny cottage. It is actually an older home renovated for current looks. It was very clean and contained everything we needed for simple suppers (pizza, steak). It is rural and no cell until you sign into wifi. The owner was VERY accessible and quick to respond to any question. This home met our needs and wouldn’t hesitate to return if in area. Thank you so for sharing!

Cute not clean
The very tall grass in the front and back fenced yard was a nightmare for me with our small dogs, especially after the rain! I wonder if that tick would’ve missed my dog otherwise. Slanted carport is for small vehicles only. The cottage was cute but it was so filthy inside! Just pick up all of the slippery rugs and swiffer mop! The kitchen AC had black mold on the fins and I had to clean the filter. The two frying pans just need to be trashed! Seriously. Once I sanitized and wiped down all of the things I wanted to touch, I could relax. Oh yeah, the back door curtain rod fell on me as I opened the curtain. No wine key. No full length mirror as advertised. The hot water was great and nice shower head. The beds were comfortable. Good pantry space. Kitchen appliances worked good.

Huge Disappointment
Totally not what we expected. We weren't there an hour and went to town and got a hotel. Photos were rather misleading. Floors are dangerously unlevel and soft, cobwebs hanging from the ceilings, unlit shower area, sliding back door was super hard to get in and out of, and crawlspace access under house was half covered (easy access for animals). There was trash thrown around the yards and hills surrounding the cabin. And the plug in oil warmer smell was so strong we couldnt stay there. There was no way to open any windows for ventilation. I realize what the cancellation rules were but considering it was not as described I feel there should be exceptions.

Small cozy home just 20 mins from Windrock
We picked this place bc it was half the price of the cabins at the park so why not. Took about 20 mins to get to Windrock via backroads so not to bad...had plent of parking for jeeps or truck and trailers. The only two complaints i have are, the shower/bathroom needs an updated or a real good clean srubbing and we brought steaks and hamburgers to cook on the grill but there was any gas in grill tank. Owner offered to pay us to get it filled but we came to ride and didn't have time.
