We were once again late in planning our 3 family vacation but lucked out that our week was still available at Dune Nuttin. We had never been to Oak Island, however found very few oceanfront properties available. So we decided to book a trip to a new destination! House was well stocked with all of the essential kitchen cooking tools that we needed. Great seating for everyone to eat dinners together and play games. We loved the oceanfront location and beautiful views from the back porch. Beach was accessible and not crowded at all. The house did not have any beach chairs available to take to the beach, so you may want to pack one or two if you need them. Great location to visit many attractions in the area. We took the ferry over to Fort Fisher to tour the fort and go to the aquarium, spent a day in Southport taking a Southport Water Tours scenic boat tour and touring Fort Johnston, walked to the Oak Island Pier, picked up fresh seafood from Potter’s in Southport, rented kayaks through Long Beach Paddle Co., and went to Wilmington to tour the battleship North Carolina and walk the riverwalk area. Overall, we couldn’t have had a better week!
