wonderful
The cabin was quiet and comfortable. The host went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. It was really nice to sit outside by the fire and enjoy the peace and quiet. Their beagle even came down to say hi. I will definitely try and stay there again next time we visit there.

Overall impression of the visit was outstanding. We will definitely be coming back! I recommend this place to anyone wanting a peaceful getaway in the country, but still close to town. Mrs. Pam and Mr. Kirk were great people to get to know as well!

Would definitely stay here again!
We couldn’t be more pleased with our experience at Two Ass Farms! We stayed in Butch’s cabin, which is the smaller of the two. The cabin was very clean. The shower was great - good water pressure, clean, and roomy! There were plenty of clean, comfortable towels. My husband is just shy of 6’ 3” and the bed was a tad short for him, but he wasn’t uncomfortable. In fact, the mattress and pillows were quite comfortable. We are not coffee drinkers, but if we were, we would have been in hog heaven. The little kitchenette area was well equipped with a coffee machine and lots of coffee. The owners provided great directions, and the Wi-Fi was strong. I keep trying to think of any constructive criticism to offer, but I can’t find anything negative to say about our experience. Next time we are in the area, we will check Two Ass Farms for availability first!

About the host

Originally from Corpus Christi, left there and headed to Huntsville to attend SHSU. Started my career with State Farm as an agent and started my B&B to have something to do when I retire. My husband, Kirk, retired from electrical engineering and has been working on the property doing improvements ever since.

Why they chose this property

I used to come visit NB when I was in college at SHSU. I always told myself "Someday I'm going to live here". I was able to buy the 6 acres with an old farmhouse for a reasonable amount back in 2004.

What makes this property unique

Our home sits on the front of property and the 2 cabins share the space on the back of the six acres. We are only 2 miles from the frontage road of I-35. You are only 10-15 minutes from great restaurants, shopping, and fun!
