Nestled in the heart of the Gaillac vineyards, in Brens, just 2 minutes from the A68 motorway between Albi and Toulouse, the Cottage Nature Syrah is an elegant 40 m² accommodation, rated 3 stars, fully air-conditioned, located on the ground floor of the Cottages du Tarn estate. Renovated to new, decorated with care and turned towards nature, it accommodates up to 6 people for a rejuvenating stay with family, couple or friends. Accessible by the wide external staircase of the estate, you will recognise the blue door of the Syrah grape variety — your invitation to enter your Tarn cocoon.

A bright and soothing interior

As soon as you arrive, the bright living room welcomes you with warmth and serenity. A comfortable sofa, a 140×190 sofa bed, a smart TV and a soothing decoration create an ideal atmosphere to unwind and find yourself. The direct view of a sumptuous cedar of Lebanon — a real living painting that changes with the seasons — immediately invites you to appreciate nature and let go completely. It is often from this sofa, facing the cedar tree, that travellers savour their first moments at Syrah and realise that they have done the right thing to choose this place to recharge their batteries.

The fully equipped kitchen — espresso machine, oven, microwave, dishwasher, kettle, complete crockery and cookware - will allow you to prepare delicious meals to enjoy indoors or on the lovely 30 m² south-facing terrace. Barbecue available for your outdoor summer evenings, around a shared meal under the Tarn stars. The air conditioning guarantees freshness in summer and comfort in winter, for a pleasant stay whatever the season.

The Syrah Cottage is ideally located in the heart of the Gaillac vineyards, one of the oldest vineyards in France, with its emblematic grape varieties — Mauzac, Duras, Braucol — and its wine estates to explore. From your south-facing terrace, enjoy a soothing view of the vineyards, fields and trees of the estate. The natural and preserved setting of the Domaine de Brens invites you to disconnect completely, far from the urban hustle and bustle.

A few minutes' drive away, the Biodiversity Labyrinth of the Domaine de Peyrole invites you to an educational and fun walk in the heart of wild nature. On a plot of unspoilt nature, a labyrinth has been traced in the heart of the tall grass, where butterflies, bees, dragonflies and wild flowers have reclaimed their rights. Educational panels mark out the route and offer you a challenge: answer questions about the local fauna and flora, write down the right letters and reconstruct the mystery word! Our storey — The spirit of the Cottages du Tarn

We are Martial and Cathy. Peyrole is the land where Martial grew up: the old family farm, the fields, the Tarn countryside. After 5 years as a farmer and then 20 years as a director in the agri-food industry, he felt the need to return to his roots. It is here that Cathy, and I began in 2012 to lovingly renovate the buildings of the old farm to transform them into comfortable and authentic cottages. Today, the Cottages du Tarn is 12 accommodation spread over two sites — Peyrole and Brens — all rated 3 stars, all carefully equipped. Our philosophy: accommodation where you feel really good, in a preserved natural environment, with hosts who are available and passionate about their region.

Before your arrival, you will receive a complete practical guide with access, WiFi code and best local addresses. A gourmet welcome gift awaits you on arrival.

Rules & practical information

Pets allowed on request — cosy basket provided, supplement possible depending on the number. Out of respect for the place, they do not sleep on sofas and beds, and arrive clean. Non-smoking accommodation. Parties prohibited.
