Casa Peces is situated in the peaceful neighborhood of Rio Oro, Santa Ana, one of the prime neighborhoods, which is well known for its great shopping and dining options.

Perfect for groups of up to 11 amigos. The property is surrounded by excellent shopping areas, supermarkets, restaurants, malls, and the medical care tower of Hospital CIMA.

Its contemporary architecture and tasteful furnishings make it the perfect home away from home for adventurers or peace-seeking travelers.

Amenities include an indoor pool, sauna, bar, BBQ, and an outdoor sitting area with beautiful tropical flowers & mango trees, an ideal location for reading or sunbathing. This home also features a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable dining room for 11 guests, Hi speed internet, Wi-Fi, telephone, and cable TV / Smart TV.

The master bedroom with one queen bed is fully furnished and very spacious. It has a skylight with exotic natural plants, a spacious bathroom with a rustic sauna, and a fish aquarium with tropical fish from the Amazon River.

The second room is very large and offers 2 double beds. This room also has a skylight with natural plants.

The third and fourth bedrooms each offer 1 double bed and a skylight with natural plants. The fourth bedroom also features beautiful glass patio doors that lead directly to the pool. There is another fish aquarium with exotic fish from Asia in this fourth bedroom.

There are two extra single cots that can be moved around and equipped as needed.

The rates will vary for larger groups - base rates apply for 1 or 2 guests, and there is an extra guest fee for an additional guest. Please inquire for available discounts for weekly stays or if you travel with 2 small children, then we may be able to adjust the extra guest fee for you.

Casa Peces is like a Private Resort. Except for some minor repairs I have no complaints. The only reason I gave it a 4-Star is because there was no Air Conditioner and was a bit uncomfortable to sleep at night. The fans are kinda noisy.

Great place!

What a great place to stay at, we highly recommend. The house is in a great safe neighborhood and don't forget that indoor pool-- it's pretty incredible.

City escape

This was a perfect escape from the city. Felt like a mini oasis. We ubered it to shops and restaurants and enjoyed the pool in between. Good communication with property manager. Would rent again.

You won’t be disappointed renting this home!

We loved the house…so comfy and well laid out. Lots of unique features. We had so much fun, cooking together, playing games together and exploring San Jose and the surrounding area. The children were in the pool most of the time we were at the house. The housekeeper, Jessica, made us a fabulous breakfast, Costa Rican style, on our last day at there! So glad we chose this house to stay in.

Fantastic house in a great location

We had a wonderful stay here. And Martha was really a fantastic host. We arrived to San Jose late at night and all almost everythign would be closed when we got there. Michelle was even nice enough to have a few things picked up for us at the grocery store so we would have some food when we got there. I highly recommend ths property.

Great accommodations for large group

Place is very spacious , but could use some updates like better mattresses , larger TV. Great location and really safe neighborhood. The highlight of our stay were our hosts, Dorit, Andres and Jessica. Omg 5 star guest experience. We were able to book tour and excursions through the Hosts. Jessica cooked Costa Rican mealls our entire stay and cleaned thoroughly throughout home.

If you want to experience how the locals live, this place is perfect for you. The house is incredible though it does need some work. Especially the plumbing. I love the location of the house. It is in the middle of everything.

The Pool House

We really enjoyed our stay in this unique home and found the architecture so interesting & entertaining. How cool for a pool in the middle of the house and plenty of comfortable places to lounge. The kitchen and other facilities were well stocked, so we just stayed in the compound for two days and appreciated the respite. My only downside is, I found VRBO website hard to navigate. Pura Vida.

Great Costa Rica Experience

The villa was just as described. It was an awesome experience even before arriving to the villa. From the planning up until we arrived was amazing. The house keeper Jesica was the best part of trip she was simply and absolutely wonderful. Her cooking was delicious although she didn’t speak English there was nothing google translate couldn’t fix. The pool was great. The space was amazing. I would highlybrecommend this place to anyone. They were very catering to all of my needs.

Lots of space, sauna and private swimming pool near the city

This house is a rare find, it has lots of space, swimming pool, sauna, spacious kitchen area and patio. Master bedroom is huge. 2 other rooms are a good size. Room #4 is really the maid room, it is small and dark, private bathroom on this one, but it is tiny and the shower valve did not work. Shower fixtures in general need some maintenance, but overall the house is really comfortable.

Loved this house!

We just left Casa Peces and we loved it! Dorit was very helpful and answered all my questions before arrival. Jessica, the daily maid, was great. We aren’t used to having a daily maid in a house, so initially we didn’t think we’d use her, but once we got there we had her come three of the days and it was great. I’d recommend having her come each day! The house itself was awesome. We had a group of 9 adults and 4 kids and we had plenty of room. The beds were comfortable and the pool was so much fun. The outdoor spaces were great and we felt very safe. I highly recommend this property.

Awesome stay at Casa Peces

We were celebrating the end of our daughter's study abroad program, my nephews last spring break of his senior year of high school and my Mother's 77th Birthday. Casa Peces made it such a memorable stay. Martha, the Property owner was plesant, attentative to our special needs, accomodating, with great communication and quick responses. Jessica, the property attendant was nice and very helpful. These two ladies were awesome to work with and are the reason I would return.The property was unique, large enough (9 to 10 people throughout our stay) to make our stay comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped which enhanced the meals and service prepared by our Private Chef. I would be happy to stay here with my family again.

Wonderful house for our stay in San Jose

My family of 5 throughly enjoyed our say at Casa Peces. The house was sprawling and amazing layout. Master bedroom and bathroom was huge and the other 2 bedrooms were decent size. Jessica came by daily to clean, and the house was spotless when we arrived, and when we left. She was so very sweet and helpful! My niece and her family lived just a couple of miles away, so they would come over in the evening and eat dinner with us while the kids played in the pool in the enclosed pool area. Mornings were so peaceful there. The house was big enough that we could each find our corner and have some time to ourselves while drinking our morning coffee. The neighborhood was very safe, and as a bonus there was a small market within walking distance to pick up a few supplies when needed. It also had fresh rolls and bread in the morning, and coffee. Martha, the owner, was very nice and responsive. Check in was a breeze, as Jessica was there to meet us at the house. I would recommend Casa Peces to anyone looking to stay in the area, and it was especially nice for socializing with our family that lived there. Just book it…you won’t regret it!

Nice house

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Peces. The kids lived in the pool. I'm a West Texan so getting used to not having an air conditioner was a bit of a challenge for me. My girlfriend and her children are Tico's and it was normal for them. There was 2 fans in the master bedroom which helped me survive. House was very clean and the maid is very nice and helpful as were the managers. Would be nice if there was a larger, smart TV in the living room so gringos could find more options for English programming. For some this is probably not an issue, but we spent a lot of time in the house. Overall it is a nice property for the price.

OMG... Beautiful Spectacular and HIGHLY Recommended

This house was absolutely amazing..Very spacious. I enjoyed the character in this house. Weird but I loved it. Jessica was very nice. She cleaned everyday. Did I mention they have a sauna and pool?!? What else do you need!!! The pictures does not do this place justice at all.. I loved how open everything was to include the outdoors. You can hear all the wonderful sounds of the outdoor. We couldn’t figure out the landline phone but there is WiFi. Only one issue which wasn’t a real issue, no one could access the WiFi on yesterday or today. We checked out today! BUT I WILL DEFINITELY BE STAYING THERE AGAIN! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

Convenient location

This house I'm sure was quite beautiful in its day. It needs some updating and TLC. Overall it was comfortable, The pool is located in the center of the house, off of one of the bedrooms and the dining area. There is an indoor barbeque but the ventilation does not have an extractor. Nice large table for meals and congregating and a couple nice large comfortable sofas. The pool is under a clear roof and the pool is not heated, although by the middle of the day it is quite comfortable and refreshing. I would like to have air conditioning in the bedrooms at least, but I understand that is not standard in San Jose. The rooms were a bit warm, they did however provide a couple fans and there are ceiling fans in all the rooms. The master bedroom is in the front of the house, and with the window open for air circulation, the noise level can be bothersome, bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. They had a very nice housekeeper come in every day to tidy the bathrooms, beds, and clean the floors. She would also cook breakfast and lunch for you if you ask. She speaks Spanish only. We chose this house because it is close to family, so it was perfect for us.

So glad we chose Casa Peces!!!!

Let me start by saying the pics are IDENTICAL to what we walked in to! While the roads leading to and surrounding casa peces is certainly undeveloped, upon opening the front door we were in an oasis of our own!! Even our hired driver who is a native was blown away. Doris provided EXCELLENT service from my 1st inquiry all the way through my arrival. She provide clear and concise directions to the property, tour information and even encouraged we bring a light jacket which was needed every evening since we traveled during rain season in Costa Rica. The house is huge to be one leveled and it was perfect for 4 women(group of friends) as we all had enough personal space and equally amount of space in the common areas when we want to be together. Jessica (our maid & hired cook) was an absolute pleasure! We wanted to take her home with us 😁. She didn't speak English and we didn't speak much Spanish but collectively we were able to communicate just fine with the help of google translate. Everything on the house worked properly because we used it! The sauna, house phone, the pool, the tv, the garage, the grill and the alarm. The property is located in Santa Ana a town within San Jose literally 15-20 mins away from multiplaza mall, grocery stores, the airport, banks, clubs etc it's super conveniently located. We made and received local calls with ease and the only 2 times we needed assistance I called Marta(owner) and she was always available speaking very clear English and handled my needs promptly. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday. Cons: only 1 tv in the entire house that audios Spanish with English subtitles but if you're tech savvy like me it'll be easy to convert over to English using remote. The ants were the biggest issue. There's a lot of wood in the home, mixed with the fresh flowers and plants and plenty of rain so I understood but it was a little annoying. Other than those 2 MINOR issues this house and vacation was PERFECT and I highly recommend.
