61 km north of Rovaniemi, river Raudanjoki 45 m, natural riverside, river is 35 m wide, no boat. Kulpakkokoski rapids 350 m away.

Log cottage, built in 1992. Living room-kitchen sofa bed, bedroom with double bed, second bedroom with 2 single beds, loft with 2 mattresses (loft is low and stairs steep), sauna with wood stove, shower in the steam room, separate toilet and large covered terrace on the river side.

Fish smoking oven in shared use between three cottages. A reasonable amount of firewood is included in price; more firewood can be purchased from the caretaker

Lovely house in the woods

Lovely compact house in a quiet location in the woods but easy to get to. Caretaker is close by and very helpful. You almost certainly need a car and proximity of trees might make spotting the northern lights from the sofa tricky, but definitely visible from outside the house. ;-)

Wir waren zum 2.mal in Finnland. Uns gefĂ€llt in erster Linie die Ruhe, die man hier genießen kann. Das Haus ist unweit einer Fernstraße gelegen. Zum Fluß sind es nur wenige Meter. Dieser war fast zugefroren. Im Haus ist eine Klimaanlage sowie Kamin vorhanden. Auch in der hauseigenen Sauna kann man entspannen. Diese wird auch mit Holz beheizt, welches vom Vermieter zur verfĂŒgung gestellt wird. Es sind KĂŒchengerĂ€te wie Toaster, Kaffeemaschine, Herd, Wasserkocher, KĂŒhlschrank vorhanden. Waschmaschine gibt es keine. Unweit vom Haus (ca. 7min mit dem Auto) befindet sich eine kleine Einkaufsmöglichkeit, sowie Tankstelle. Wir haben hier eine sehr entspannte Woche verbracht. Vielen Dank... Wir kommen wieder!!

Kulpakko 1 - Rovaniemi

Nous avons sĂ©journĂ© 4 jours dans ce joli chalet. Pour vivre la magie de la Laponie je le recommande Ă  100%. Chalet en bois avec cheminĂ©e. PlacĂ© en pleins dans la forĂȘt avec un accĂšs au lac gelĂ©e. Nous avons pu apercevoir les aurores borĂ©ales du chalet , c’était magnifique. Ambiance trĂšs chaleureuse.

GemĂŒtlichkeit am Fluss

Schöne gemĂŒtliche und urige HĂŒtte nahe am Fluss. Unkomplizierter check in. Als was man brauchte vorhanden, Sauna und Kamin genutzt. In Nachbarschaft 2 weitere HĂŒtten, kleiner Laden im 8 km Entfernung, Lidl, grĂ¶ĂŸere Einkaufsmöglichkeit in Rovaniemi, ca. 60 km. Kleinere Details könnten etwas besser sein, wie die Sauberkeit im Allgemeinen oder die wackelig angebrachte kleine Lampe im Schlafzimmer mit 2 NĂ€geln. Auch etliche Lebensmittel vor Ort, 6 Packungen Kaffeefilter. Wir buchten mit Endreinigung, BettwĂ€sche und HandtĂŒcher. Gezahlt haben wir fĂŒr 16 Euro pro Person und erhielten 1 kleines und 1 großes Handtuch, fĂŒr 9 Tage mit Sauna sehr spĂ€rlich. Jedes weitere hĂ€tte 4 euro gekostet. Ansonsten haben wir vom Vermieter nichts gehört oder gesehen. Wir hatten das GlĂŒck 1x die Nordlichter an der HĂŒtte zu sehen

Polarlichter des Nachts und Rentierbesuch

Olli, unser Host, war super freundlich und hilfsbereit. An- und Abreise sind total unkompliziert organisiert. Man benötigt definitiv einen Leihwagen. Das Haus liegt mitten im Wald, so dass morgens wĂ€hrend des FrĂŒhstĂŒcks ein Rentier an unserem Fenster vorbei spaziert ist. Nachts hat man bei klarem Himmel unten am Fluss wunderschöne grĂŒne Polarlichter gesehen.

Das Ferienhaus konnte vor allem durch GemĂŒtlichkeit sowie perfekte Ausstattung mit KĂŒchenutensilien, Grundnahrungsmitteln und Reinigungszubehör ĂŒberzeugen. Perfekter Aufenthalt mit sehr freundlichem Vermieter, der eine unkomplizierte SchlĂŒsselĂŒbergabe und den Verleih von Schneeschuhen ermöglicht hat. Ein Auto ist essentiell um Wander- und Langlaufstrecken in der Umgebung zu erreichen und zu den weit entfernten SupermĂ€rkten zu gelangen. Endreinigung sollte zur Zufriedenheit aller gebucht werden.

Chalet trĂšs agrĂ©able avec cheminĂ©e et sauna Par contre le logement est assez Ă©loignĂ© du centre de Rovaniemi (40-45min) Personnellement ça ne nous a pas trop gĂȘnĂ© mais il faut faire beaucoup de Kms pour pratiquer la moindre activitĂ©! Du coup location d’un vĂ©hicule nĂ©cessaire

sehr gemĂŒtliches HĂ€uschen

Wir haben hier zwei traumhafte Wochen mitten im verschneiten Wald zugebracht, es war sehr gemĂŒtlich. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich, hat immer fĂŒr genĂŒgend Kaminholz gesorgt und dafĂŒr, daß gleich morgens der Schneepflug den Waldweg rĂ€umte, wenn es schneite. Wir haben schöne SpaziergĂ€nge gemacht, teils auch mit Ski, das Polarlicht gesehen, und wir haben mit dem Auto die Umgebung erkundet: Rovaniemi, KemijĂ€rvi, SodankylĂ€ und vor allem das nahe gelegene Wintersportgebiet von Luosto und PyhĂ€.

What a great find, the pictures definitely don't do the property justice. We were here in December 2019 and greeted with around 60cm of snow around the cabin. The road is kept passable by a snow plow visit when necessary Its a 2 min walk to the frozen river. No internet but excellent 4g reception. Also no freezer in the kitchen.

Eine tolle Woche in Lappland

Unser Aufenthalt in dem Haus war toll. Wir haben eine wirklich gute Zeit hier als Familie verbracht. Morgend wurden wir meist von einem Rentier begrĂŒĂŸt, welches direct an der HĂŒtte vorbeilief. Dank der großen ĂŒberdachten Veranda war selbst bei Schlechtwetter ein entspanntes BBQ möglich. Mit vorbereitetem Feuerholz war die Verwendung der Sauna und des Kamins problemlos. Lediglich die Sauberkeit war etwas zu kritisieren. Auf dem Außentisch lagen noch Zigarettenkippen von Vorbenutzern.

Sehr schönes Haus

Das Haus hat alles was man braucht. Der Vermieter ist sehr locker drauf. Und ist sehr hilfsbereit. Wenn irgendwas nicht passt ist er zur Stelle. Das Haus steht an einer sehr schönen Stelle. Von der Straße bekommt man gar nichts mit. Die Anbindung zu Einkaufs Möglichkeiten und Attraktionen. Ist sehr gut. Rundum 5 sterne

Parfait !

Chalet superbe, trĂšs confortable et trĂšs bien situĂ© : cachĂ© dans la forĂȘt, au bord d'une riviĂšre, isolĂ© du monde et en mĂȘme temps trĂšs facile d'accĂšs par la route principale. A mi chemin entre Rovaniemi et la trĂšs sympathique station de ski de Luosto et la jolie ville de Sodankyla.
