Good Vacation

Comfortable beds, plenty of hot water for showers, plenty of towels, close to the pool but not too close. Space adequate for four people & it is a nice area. Unfortunately there was major road construction of the 101 in the area while we were there. Could use a few updates and some deep cleaning. Discussed with owner and they will address it.

Fun in Scottsdale

This was the nicest VRBO unit I have stayed in. Sherrie was great. Checked in to make sure everything was good and provided answers when I sent her texts. The condo had everything you could need. Beds were comfy and the kitchen was well stocked. Very nice how previous quests left condiments in the fridge. We did the same as well location was excellent to anywhere in the area. The pool and the grill were well used and in top condition. I would definitely stay again Don

A beautiful condo in Scottsdale!

We had a lovely stay in Sherrie's condo and would love to return someday! The property was in an excellent location with shopping, hiking and biking trails close by. It was very easy to access all the activities that we wanted to experience. Sherrie was an exceptional super host and was quick to respond if ever I had any questions.. The pool was lovely in a secure, gated area and steps away from our condo. The condo had a very nice lay out with bedrooms on either side with their own bathrooms. Living room, dining area and kitchen were very spacious with everything that we needed! The people around us were very friendly and welcoming. All to say you will not be disappointed if you choose to stay at this condo! Thank you Sherrie! We will definitely be back some day!!

Checked into hotel after 1 night’s stay on 7 day rental of "luxury" condo.

Not what we expected upon arrival. Building exteriors are overdue for painting and complex needs renovation. We were disturbed to find 2 lively bugs in the bed upon checking in. Upset, we stripped the bedding and found holes in the first linens that we grabbed. After remaking the beds, we slept on top of the sheets and attempted to fall asleep. On first glance, the rental looked clean but heavy dust/dirt buildup under bed, under furniture, on drapery rods, etc. Three of 4 lights burned out in main bath and bath floor rug was dirty and worn out. Living Room and Kitchen looked like listing photos, although couch had dirt on it and chair leather was cracked. 2nd bathroom had not been renovated. Building exterior has large sections painted with white primer but no signs of painting in process. Next day, we informed owner by email of our concerns without any response. 3 hours later, we emailed that we had checked into a hotel and the owner responded with excuses. At the time, we did not ask for compensation – we just wanted out as we were not comfortable staying longer. We contacted VRBO the next morning to complain and pursue a refund. VRBO suggested we file a formal complaint (which we did with a few photos). Owner took our complaints as a personal attack, dismissed our photos, threatened to shame us with her review, and blamed the situation on our (supposed) unfamiliarity with Arizona (basically that we should expect bugs and dust). We have been visiting Arizona since 1985 and have rented for several months in each of the last 6 winters (4 with VRBO). Our VRBO rentals while older have always been spotless and well maintained (inside and out) with nice linens and towels. We expected the same this time. This was not a vacation and we were not expecting a resort. We were in-town helping our daughter move and just wanted a clean, comfortable rental where we could cook a Thanksgiving meal rather than stay in a hotel. We informed VRBO that this rental is listed as “5 day minimum”. The owner provided written check-in instructions that stated the HOA has a 30 day minimum requirement and if asked, pretend to be friends and to not mention that we were renting for a week. That is false advertising and unethical.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay Mar 2018 in this North Scottsdale condo. The first week was frustrating repairing plumbing and overseeing appliance repairs; unit owner responded quickly, good communicator. Great to have some kitchen, laundry, household supplies. Pool has outdoor kitchen/ BBQ area that we enjoyed using. Lending library at condo office. Enjoyed daily walks around the large blocks with mountain vistas. Nearby Thunderbird Park has tennis courts, soccer fields. Close to 3 highways that take you all directions; many restaurants, malls, golf courses and Pickleball too. Recommend this condo.

Relaxing & amenity packed stay in sunshine!

My friend & I stayed here for a sunshine filled weekend away without kids! Sherrie was so helpful before & during w/ any questions we had about the area and condo. The condo is fully stocked with amenities, very clean and so cute. The condo community had 2 beautiful pools to choose from with friendly & helpful neighbors. Highly recommend this rental property!

The perfect experience, start to finish!

Absolutely A+ experience. The Allison is a terrific complex -- great location close to shops, dining and everything Scottsdale has to offer, plus terrific pool and spa areas. Sherrie's unit takes it to a higher level -- it's spotless, extremely well-appointed and updated with modern, comfortable touches. Sherrie was extremely responsive to our special requests, and amazingly accommodating. We felt like family. Look no further, and book fast -- you will love this place as much as we did!

Clean, comfortable and cozy

My wife, son and I spent part of a week in the condo for our Spring Break. We found it to be as advertised. The condo is clean and comfortable. Being in Scottsdale, you feel like all of North Scottsdale is close by. There are two pools on the property and both are very inviting. The one unexpected aspect about the location is that it's cloistered within the middle of the condo development. Therefore, it never receives any direct sunlight into the unit. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful condo in a great location

We have enjoyed staying at this condo the past two years. It has been remodeled into a contemporary style instead of having outdated decor and furnishings like so many rentals. The location is perfect within the complex situated between two pools, and has close proximity to great restaurants and attractions. I would highly recommend this property.

Even though in the desert, this complex has wonderful vegetation with huge pine trees and many flowering plants and bushes. It feels almost tropical in the desert heat!
