This is a perfect vacation spot for family gatherings, and casino goers alike. The kids will love the splash pad at West Side Park located just a stroll around the block. And Jones Park with its scheduled entertainment (Fishing Rodeo July 4th weekend and Festival of Lights during Christmas) and picnic areas and playgrounds is so close you can walk to it. And new to the downtown area is The Mississippi Aquarium! The Gulfport Harbor will delight you with fishing piers and the offerings of charter boats. Or in season, take a ride on the Ship Island Excursion Boat leaving from the harbor to tour Historic Fort Massachusetts and leave you to do some 'barrier island' beach combing. Or dolphin watch by. The Beach Comber Trolley stops at Jones Park, ready to pick you up and carry you up and down the coast for even more shopping and dining and casino fun! Even golfing! And the Island View Casino is a good neighbor living just across the street ready and waiting for whenever you're feeling lucky! Get in the car and you’ll find more fun with outlet malls, discount stores, golf courses and the Gulf Island Water Park.
