About this property
Restored farmhouse in modern country house style in notches - Drexler Living
Away from the stress of everyday life, our newly renovated holiday home designed and furnished in a modern country house style is waiting for you. It is a detached old farmhouse with an adjoining barn and a small courtyard that invites you to sit and grill. The house has a modern bathroom with a large walk-in shower, a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy living room and 2 large bedrooms. It is ideal for up to 4 people. With an occupancy of 2 people, the entire lower floor is available consisting of bathroom, kitchen, living room and bedroom. Another bedroom is located on the upper floor of the house, which can be reached by stairs. With an occupancy of 4 people, another guest toilet is available on the upper floor.
The house is in the immediate vicinity of our 2-person apartment, which has already welcomed many guests from fewo-direkt.
Cyclists especially appreciate the short distance to the Maifeld cycle path. Experience the newly designed dream paths. Hike through sun-drenched vineyard terraces, across wide plateaus with spectacular views of the side valleys of the Moselle and Eltz Castle.
Highlight 1: Terrassenmosel / Untermosel: At 8 km you can reach the wonderful Terrassenmosel, which is characterized by spectacular steep slopes and the excellent Moselle wine. Because: The steeper the vineyard, the higher the radiation intensity.
On particularly steep slopes it corresponds to locations that can be found up to 1000 km further south.
In 1988, the RWE built a large photovoltaic system on a mountain range near Kobern-Gondorf, where the Celts held sun rites.
Otherwise, the Lower Moselle is characterized by 'knightly romanticism', historical walls, cultural treasures and Mediterranean flair in summer.
Places steeped in history such as Kobern-Gondorf, Winningen, Alken, to name just a few, invite you to get to know the Moselle particularly intensively ... and this runs through to the German corner in Koblenz, where you can explore the beautiful old town or with the cable car on a trip across the Rhine, which can enjoy the view.
Highlight 2: Eltz Castle: Eltz Castle near the city of Münstermaifeld is one of the most beautiful castles in Germany. It lies in the valley of the Elz, which separates the Maifeld from the Vordereifel. Together with the Bürresheim Palace, Eltz Castle is the only facility in the Maifeld-Eifel region that has never been conquered or devastated.
Part of the castle can be visited in the summer months. Tours are organized between the 1st April and the 1st Offered daily in November.
Interesting to know:
In the penultimate series of the Deutsche Mark, the 500 DM banknote bore an image of Burg Eltz on the back.
Burg Eltz was depicted on the 40 Pfennig stamp in the 1977 series of castles and palaces published by the Deutsche Bundespost.
Burg Eltz also serves as an example of traffic sign no. 386 'Tourist information' in the traffic sign catalog of the StVO.
Another tip: it is worth hiking the landscape on one of the spectacular dream paths.
Highlight 3: Maifeld cycle path: Together with easy-to-navigate commercial paths, there is a network of around 100 kilometers in Maifeld, the highlight of which is the 40-meter-high viaduct over the Nettetal or two illuminated tunnels of 250 and 500 meters as a special incentive. Family friendliness is the key here: on a disused and almost flat railway line between Münstermaifeld, Polch, Ochtendung and Mayen, the Maifeld cycle path is untroubled fun for young and old.
The little cyclists in particular are looking forward to a very special stopover on the short trip, which covers the pleasant distance of 20 kilometers between Polch and Münstermaifeld. At Mertloch, a lovingly designed nature and adventure leisure space has emerged, based on the latest knowledge in game education.
The palate is also well catered for, because well-tended restaurants are right on the bike path. a. with modern country kitchen or beer gardens.
