The property was very nice and new…loved the location and decor…could use some lamps in bedrooms and living room and a pitcher in the kitchen but our stay was very enjoyable!!
Place was just as specified on app. Perfect size, location was great and beds were very soft. Only thing missing was tv’s in the bedrooms but otherwise great.
Hi! or should I say G-Day. I was born in Australia but now the US is my home. My wife and I love to travel and together we have visited 34 countries. We enjoy fine wine and restaurants as well as kicking back at a beach bar.
Why they chose this property
This home is located on the site of historical Middlegate Japanese Gardens. Some of the original concrete structures still remain on the site. Please do not disturb them in any way. You are welcome to take pictures but do not touch.Between 1923 and 1929 New Orleans residents Rudolf Hecht and Lynne Watkins Hecht developed Middlegate Japanese Gardens at their summer home in Pass Christian, Mississippi. The Hechts built Middlegate Japanese gardens to perpetuate their pleasant memories of their travels in Japan. The gardens are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Since 1923 when the Hechts established them, Middlegate Japanese Gardens have been private, residential gardens. The gardens were extensively damaged by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The Smithsonian Institution has included the gardens on their Collection Search Center website.More information can be found here at the city of Pass Christian website or the Smithsonian Institute.
What makes this property unique
Catch a breeze on our front porch or stroll to the beach down Pine Ave. We are so close to the beach but just far enough away to avoid the traffic and crowds.
