In our hostel on the Kyll are on the first floor two double rooms, which we rent separately. The guests then have a bathroom and a kitchen for common use. In the kitchen necessary dishes, pots etc. are available for the preparation of a dinner or a breakfast. We are also happy to provide a lunch box for an extra charge (5.- Euro). Coffee and tea is in stock. Like the whole house, the rooms have no Wi-Fi, books and games are in stock.
In the room to quietly flowing Kyll there is a usual double bed (2x2 m) and in the summer you can here by sunbeams that tickle in the nose, be awakened. (Sundays, however, also from the bells of the nearby church, at half past eight). It offers enough space to retreat to reading or dreaming. In winter, however, the temperature in this room is only enough to sleep in - a cozy warm place can be found in the kitchen. The bedroom is 17 m² in size.
The second room, separate from the first one, faces the street. Here you can see and hear the trains pass every half an hour. There is no train service between the hours of 24.00 and 05.00 o'clock during the week, and two trains on the Saturday night (the last at 01.50 o'clock) to Gerolstein. However, the windows are double glazed and the trains are relatively quiet - we can not hear them anymore. This bedroom is special: There are in a smaller part on the corner two single beds (each 0.90 x 1 m), the larger part is used as a living / dining / work space. If you want to meet here, you can move the furniture accordingly. Excluded from the "back" are the approximately 100-year-old bookshelves of the philosopher Constantin Brunner, whose works here partly store. So we call this room "Brunner room" and rent it by arrangement, if necessary, for family or work meetings. The "Brunner room" is 20.4 m² in size.
The rooms are rented as a double room or a single room, the mentioned price is for the double room.
A room at the train station and Kyll is well suited for cyclists (garaging in the garage, charging station for e-bikes 200 m away at the train station) or hikers. The Kyllradweg passes the house, many cycling and hiking trails are available from Jünkerath in the direction of Belgium, Ahr and Mosel to explore. If you arrive by train in the evening, you can experience a cozy evening, a good night and an energetic morning with us - yoga or gymnastics in the garden are possible. And then: walking or cycling. Even a guest for only one night is welcome.
