The quiet cul-de-sac location of Four Winds, in addition to its private walkway to the beach, offers you and your group the perfect vacation getaway. Outstanding oceanfront views can be seen from the large top-level sun deck with hot tub and from the spacious top-floor great room with gas fireplace.

The interior of the home offers three main bedroom suites, one with a garden shower. A second grand room with a game table, wet bar, and refrigerator will provide hours of entertainment. Everyone can unwind with the six TVs, two DVDs, stereo/CD, and HD DirecTV. Enjoy sharing vacation photos and stories with your loved ones with the wireless high-speed internet available in Four Winds. Outside, you will enjoy a gas grill where you can cook up the catch of the day for all to enjoy. The 16' x 30' rectangular-shaped outdoor pool will be enjoyed by all. End your day with the family gathered around the great room, followed by champagne in the hot tub at sunset.

Great vacation home!

We loved the location of the home and the view from the great room. Deck was awesome and well furnished and maintained. Hot tub was great! Home was clean and updated. We enjoyed having the amount of bathrooms. Master shower was awesome! Great water pressure and two shower heads were great!

Nice home with great location

The house was very nice with lots of space. There were seven of us and it never felt crowded. The location was great and not crowded as well. The walk to the beach is about an eighth of a mile but it was worth it. The pool could use some TLC and the WiFi was slow but we would definitely come back

Great vacation home!

Loved this beach house. Located on the beach, very large private pool, awesome hot tub. Kitchen had everything you need. Wet bar downstairs with another full size fridge. TVs in every room. Large bedrooms and multiple family rooms. South of most of the tourist resorts - more free beach space and local restaurants.

Could have been a better experience....

The house itself has a FEW updates, but all together is very outdated. It is priced way too high for the quality you get. The treck to the beach is long. The view from the top balcony is lovely. I'm not going to go into detail about all of the other issues we had with this house, but all in all I would not reccomend staying in this particular house for these crazy high prices.

Asthma Beware!

If anyone in your party has asthma or severe allergies be aware. This house has an air quality issue that set off breathing issues. Mildew/moldy/musty what ever there was a strong odor that permeates. We purchased 4 DampRid containers to put in bedrooms as the carpets were very damp and made the house damp. The house WAS clean, pool, hot tub also clean. We stayed the week, but would not rent this house again due to the breathing challenges. View was very nice.

Damp

The house wasn't bad. The humidity inside the home caused all of our clothes, bags, and towels to smell like mildew. The furniture was damp. I get that you're at the shore and the humidity level there can be high but it shouldn't be so inside the home. Appeared to be 2 newer AC units but they were not effective at cooling the house so it was muggy our entire stay. We left very early figuring it was better to comfortable at home rather than away and uncomfortable.

Great vacation!

House was nice with every bedroom having their own bathroom. Had a few minor issues but Vacasa was very quick to respond! The walk to the beach was a little difficult due to steep dunes and length of trail. If not for that I would've given 5 stars. : )

Very nice home with beautiful view

The house was very clean and many features were recently replaced (stairs to front door, appliances, drywall). Nicely furnished and lots of space. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and had nice showers. Hot tub and pool both working and well maintained. There were a few reviews from 2023 that said the house smelled of mold and needed many repairs, but everything was fixed/replaced and there was no smell or any problems with infrastructure. Please give this house a chance; you won’t regret it. We would rent again. Please note: the dunes crossover is pretty steep, so consider this if you are bringing any infirm or disabled guests. It was fine for us and the beach is gorgeous!

Neglected and Wore Out

I did a complete review of this house on the property managers site (VACASA) and wished I could have left it here, but they limit you to a certain number of characters. This house and its contents are filthy, dirty, moldy and there are several safety issues that need to be addressed. Please think twice before you rent this non-refundable property. It was the worse experience that we have ever had.

Four Winds

The location of the property was great, very quiet neighborhood. While the main floor of the home was spacious and bright, the house was very musty smelling and had a very strong odor of cat urine on the 1st floor that never went away. The windows throughout the property were filthy and most did not have screens to avoid bugs from coming in. The king bed on the main floor needs a new mattress as it was extremely uncomfortable. We did find some sand on the floors upon arrival. The washing machine is super loud and sounds like it might die at any minute.

Cockroaches in house and poor service

The location and pool were great about this house but the service for things broken or for cockroaches found in house was alarming. Complained to the rental company first day there about cockroaches found in and around house, moldy shower curtain, dishwasher disposal not working, and pool light switch broken. One thing got taken care of the whole time there and that was the shower curtain. The bugs were and issue and were gross. They never sent anyone even with me calling and texting everyday. The double bunk room was hot and water dripping from vent with mildew around it. There was sand swept under the couch downstairs as the cleaners just swept in under there thinking no one would see it. I will never book through this company again and will be talking with someone to get a partial refund back. And if my home gets infested with cockroaches I will be sending the bill to Vacasa .

Great views!

We enjoyed beautiful views of the ocean and the night sky, along with easy access to the beach. Layout of the cottage is nice, but it needs some attention--especially the upstairs living area, which I'm sure was once lovely.

We really enjoyed staying here. Ample space in living room and dining area for 5 adults and a teenager. Bedrooms were neat and king sized beds were great. Good water pressure in showers. We loved the hot tub on the upper deck. Sliding doors to upper deck did not lock but there was no access except from house. We made Vacasa aware and work order put in Day 2. Only glitch seemed to be working tv- you need to keep the lightswitch next to the tv in the on position in order for tv/direct tv box to work. It took us awhile to figure it out but in the meantime someone came out promptly to check on it. Any issue we had Vacasa quickly returned texts and followed through with making sure issue resolved.

Great stay!

We loved Four Winds 59 - the house had everything we needed for out first vacation in Outer Banks. It is right on the beach with ocean view from the second floor deck and ocean and sound views from the observation tower. The house is very spacious, each bedroom has its own bathroom, kitchen is large and has updated stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. The pool is large with heated water - well maintained and clean. We were pleasantly surprised with the amount of supplies provided by Vacasa: liquid and bar soap, dish soap, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, paper towel and plenty of toilet paper. Some minor issues that we reported to Vacasa on arrival were also addressed promptly to our satisfaction. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend this house and Vacasa management company!

November can be rough with cold, wind, and rain. We got in a couple awesome days fishing out on Ramp 43 and 44 before a norâ€™easter ran us off. Fishing in November is always good but you risk bad weather. The house, Cape Point, worked out just fine. Cape Point is perfect for a couple guys on a fishing trip. It has what you need, is neat and clean, a great location for fishing the Point. Would also be good for a small family, nice quiet neighborhood in the shadow of Hatteras Lighthouse. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.
