We stayed for work and had a wonderful experience. The host was always friendly and kept excellent communication with us, promptly addressing any questions or needs. The place was clean, comfortable, and in a peaceful environment. We’re truly grateful and would definitely love to come back again.
The host for this property was wonderful and very responsive to our needs. The location was wonderful and remote. It offered us the peaceful getaway we were looking for!
The cabin was an excellent find. It was well equipped with everything one would need. It was exceptionally clean, high ceilings with not a cobweb to be found😊. I would recommend this cabin and I would return to stay gain.
Arriving from a noise filled city, this home is what we needed. Sitting deep in the woods, on top of a mountain made the viewing exceptional. The property was very clean! Cell service was acceptable, tv worked well, and the neighbors were friendly. Distance to a Dollar General was less than ten minutes and Walmart around 30. If you're looking for a true "getaway" this is your spot.
George is by the far the best host we have ever experienced. House was very clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable and we slept like a baby in this rental. George was very attentive when we reached out to him, would highly recommend for anyone looking for rental.
Great simple cabin with a huge deck. The trees surrounding the house really sink you into the woods. Nice quiet neighborhood, but you can't see any other houses through the trees. They aren't kidding when they say the driveway gets steep.

Nice but with issues
I stayed at the cabin a week while I was at the Folk Camp in Murphy. Even though it was a bit farther than I would have liked, I should have checked a bit more. The cabin was nice and clean. However, I want to caution future lodgers. This property is on a mountain, with one way dirt roads, and is incredibly steep. The driveway was really, really steep also. I missed the driveway a few times. - especially at night. If you are older or have any kind of mobility issues, this property. Is not for you. I just wanted to warn people about this.
not
Beautiful property a short drive from amenities of Murphy NC. As an example for distance (since I know the listing doesn't properly show on the Google Maps example, and Murphy township area is spread out), it is about 25-30min (17mi) from the Walmart in Murphy. This location is in the direction of/going towards TN.
Space was very clean, quiet, and welcoming.
Linens and beds were comfortable.
Lots of storage/closet space.
Hosts were extremely kind, and communicative.
Enough parking where where were able to comfortably fit two large SUVs.
The only thing to be aware of while booking (especially if you are from out of state, or not used to driving in the mountains) the road leading up to the house/through the neighborhood eventually goes to a one lane gravel road. The driveway is single lane, gravel, has a fairly decent incline level, and is without a shoulder (due to drainage trenches on either side). The owner was very kind and gave us a heads up about this once it was closer to our booking - and thankfully I grew up with gravel so I was used to that. But I will fully admit that even with an SUV, as someone who is not from a mountainous area/adjusted to the driving, the driveway/incline could be a bit intimidating. So just something to be aware of when booking if you don't quite know what to expect with the area, or will be driving a rental car that you are not fully used to. :) I think it would be super helpful if the listing showed photos of the driveway.
Very relaxing and beautiful clean communication was great
