Your holiday home was originally built as a bakery for a large farmstead. It is surrounded by a beautiful courtyard garden, which is bordered on one side by a natural stream. The house has now been lovingly renovated as a holiday home.
The holiday home has two separate bedrooms and a sleeping area in the living area. Please note that one bedroom is used as a connecting room.
The lovingly landscaped garden offers you a place to enjoy the sun or relax at any time. Children will also feel at home here, as there is a playhouse with a slide and swing.
You will find a large adventure playground at Schiedersee, approx. 6 km from Schwalenberg.
The tradition of textile blue printing is also cultivated here. Exhibitions and seminars complete the programme. Just a few hundred metres away you will find traditional restaurants and inns, some with painting exhibitions, galleries and studios, which still keep the traditions of the Schwalenberg painters' colony alive today. Your host offers you a free pick-up service from Schieder railway station, as well as the possibility to hire bicycles.
Your holiday home is located in the western Weserbergland, near the southern foothills of the Teutoburg Forest. In addition to the scenic attractions of this low mountain range, which is rich in water and deciduous forests, you will find yourself in one of the richest cultural landscapes in Germany.
Numerous health resorts in the surrounding area entice visitors with a wide variety of attractions. For example, the nearby state spa of Pyrmont offers unusual attractions such as a vapour cave and sinkholes in addition to its famous palm garden, the Hufeland thermal baths, a zoo and the castle.
