You can also discover its three-arched Roman monumental gate and a museum of art and history. Avignon, 23 kilometres away, boasts a majestic former papal palace and the famous Saint-Bénézet bridge. Stroll through the market hall, the Rue des Teinturiers and the public garden on the Rocher des Doms promontory. Every year in July, the world-famous Avignon Festival takes place.
