It doesn’t get much more Vermont than this secluded log cabin nestled into the foothills of the Green Mountains. Just west of Jamaica, Birchside cabin is minutes away from Stratton, Bromley, Magic Mountain, and Mount Snow ski areas; with Okemo and Killington just to the north. The cabin offers four seasons of easy access to outdoor activities like skiing, snowshoeing, and XC skiing; and proximity to hiking, kayaking, swimming, biking, and fishing (some within walking distance) makes it a great warm-weather destination as well. Explore local swimming holes and waterfalls or take an autumn drive to discover Vermont’s covered bridges and vibrant fall foliage. Not the outdoorsy type? Manchester is a short drive away for foodies and charming shops. This location offers the convenience of endless excursions - there is something for everyone.

Inside the cabin you’ll find natural log walls and ceilings, creating a cozy atmosphere. Electric and gas heaters and a well-stocked wood stove will keep you warm and toasty as you relax with friends and family. The main floor features a full kitchen with all the appliances, an open dining area for up to eight, plus two more at a bar area, and a comfortable living room with a smart TV and soundbar, stereo, and lots of board games. Three bedrooms occupy the upper level, plus there's one on the main floor. When the weather is nice, grab your beverage of choice and head out to the large wrap-around porch to take in the natural beauty and peacefulness of the area under canopy lights, take advantage of the outdoor grilling area, or watch the sunset over the fire pit that's equipped with snowboard benches.

Cabin was very clean & spacious. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, wood stove was easy to use with plenty of wood. Quiet private street.

Nice property, but I didn't like dealing with Vacasa which manages the property. We had no contact with anyone local and we weren't able to discuss concerns about plowing the access to the house after a major snowstorm.

Nice cabin. Good location to local ski areas
While the cabin met our needs for a ski vacation. It would have been nice to have received a response from the owner when I reached out the first day to let them know that the house was NOT ready at 4:00 pm. The cleaning crew was on site at 5:30 pm still cleaning the house. The crew asked us to take a "circle around the neighborhood" to give them more time!" Unacceptable. It was almost 6:00 pm at night. This was two hours after the house was supposed to be ready. In addition, when we went to put our clothes in the washing machine to prep for our next day of skiing, the machine was full of wet towels needing to go in the dryer. I was disappointed to have reached out on that day and have had no response from the owner.
