The cabin was in a nice location, relaxing, plenty of room and very clean. It had everything you need to enjoy yourself. The two hot tubs were a plus for the number of guests that joined us for the weekend. The only thing was that the charcoal grill still had old coals and not clean and the same with the gas grill. But having both gas and charcoal was a plus and really nothing for us to worry pr complain about. We didn't have to contact the property owner because everything we needed or wanted was there. We would definitely stay again and refer to others. I give it 5 stars!!
This property is ideal for a family of 10. Ages 2, 5, 7,7,9, 39, 40, 46, 72, and 79. The kitchen has everything you need, the hot tubs were a favorite, and Wi-Fi worked even when we had all our devices running! It's a bit of a drive to Hocking Hills parks, but we managed to do several activities while out and about. Do need maps app on phone....many turns and twists to roads! Will certainly consider this for another visit! And thanks to property manager for answering our questions so promptly!
We wanted to treat our kids and grandkids to a winter getaway and the The Lodge at Hocking Hills was perfect for our family. With 7 adults and 2 grandkids, there was plenty of room for everyone and the bedrooms with private baths are great for a large group. The Lodge was very clean and met all of our needs to have a great time with our family. Even though it was wintertime, we enjoyed just getting away and playing pool, and family games and the hot tubs. This would also be a great stay in the good weather with lots of outdoor space to enjoy. The hosts were great with plenty of communication and we appreciated the hospitality. Thank you for a great stay!
Great place for a guys trip. Open layout upstairs with nice kitchen, huge decks and hot tubs. Place was clean and just what we were looking for. Close to go Hocking hills as well if you’re into hiking and what not.
We had a wide variety of ages-mostly age 30’s, 60’s plus teens and a 2yr old.
We love to cook and this place was great! Lots of supplies, dishwasher pods, washing machine pods (we didn’t even use but appreciated). The decks are very nice and we fished every day. Highly recommend.
This cabin was perfect for our group of 10. Very clean cabin and well maintained! Owners were very nice and quick to respond! This will now be our go to cabin!
Our nephew& niece were getting married in Sugar Grove approx 30 mins from the Lodge. We were all able to be together making memories at the Lodge for the weekend. Beautiful place inside & out.
The pictures were exactly true to the property. Two spacious decks, plenty of beds and bathrooms, beautiful hot tubs, grill and seating. We are 7 women in our 60s who have known each other 50+ years and have been on numerous girls trips. This was our first visit to Hocking Hills. And we would return in a heartbeat. We explored daily and ate our big meal while out so that we could enjoy the solitude and stars at night at The Lodge, and the large table was perfect…we spent a lot of time sitting, playing games and laughing around it. I highly recommend staying here!

Hocking Hills Lodge Review
Very difficult to find the lodge, need a posted address sign. No cell phone service which made locating the house even more difficult; not the owners fault but this is why improved signage would help. . The steps from the back door as well as the steps going to the lower level were a challenge to maneuver as well as dangerous, especially for children and seniors. A railing down the center of the stairs going to the lower level would be helpful. There were no night lights. It would have been helpful to let us know that we should bring paper towels, plates and silverware. Given the size of our group, the provided dishes and silverware were not adequate. The pots and pans were old and scratched up. The outlets on the island were not working. We also had to make several trips into town for ice, drinking water, toilet paper, paper towels and other cleaning supplies. There was no Tupperware, aluminum foil, saran wrap and hand soap. If we would have known, we would have brought our own. The lodge could also use a good deep cleaning. We could only sit on the deck in the very early morning because it got so hot and there was no umbrella or shade at all.
It may sound like we are nitpicking but as VRBO owners ourselves, we always strive to provide the best accommodations possible for our guests. We also had a situation that I would prefer talking to the owners about if they care to reach out.
It is a nice place and great for the needs of our family. It is a bit remote, about 20 minutes on rural roads. Not terrible but important to know.. Host is very responsive.
The property was perfect for what we needed. Kyle was quick getting back to me when I had questions. The beds were comfy and the property was beautiful.
Huge comfortable home with everything you need for a family getaway. Peaceful nights, nearby hiking trails, and walking distance to the lake. We enjoyed every minute of it. I wish we could've stayed here longer!
