2009 custom built Adirondack Lodge that sleeps four couples privately, Two and a half baths and front loading laundry center. Panoramic wilderness views across the Big Lake from the cathedral wall of glass in one of your two living rooms. You won't find a more beautiful spot to come home to after a day on the trails or finding the perfect fishing spot. Plenty of parking, so you can unload those sleds once, period! Large mudroom for your gear, full appliances and accessorized kitchen with dining for six at the table and two at the kitchen bar. Huge Vermont casting grill on the elevated deck. Private summer dock with canoe and three kayaks for your summer adventures.
Four flat screen TVs, large family room with 12 feet of sliding glass doors 50' from the water! Queen bedroom with private access to full bath, and a third bedroom with a full and twin bed with memory foam toppers. Kitchenette, breakfast area,wall mounted flat screen tv and poker table on lower level.

Annual Family Getaway

This is the weekend we plan our annual family weekend and sometimes you just have to deal with unfavorable weather. Luckily the sun finally came out so we could enjoy the fire pit! We got a fantastic family picture (3 generations) by the water and enjoyed all the Connecticut Lakes area has to offer. The home is well appointed and had plenty of activities available to us. There are even multiple family areas to relax!

Amazing Summer Vacation for the Family!

Pamela goes all out in making sure that you feel right at home at her place. Even just talking to her on the phone was like we were two old friends catching up. Almost everything that you could imagine needing is right there ready for you to use. The house was immaculate and the decor was absolutely stunning! The lake was so refreshing! Especially after hikes and on the hot days (our stay was during a heat wave). This was our annual family vacation and it was a crowd pleaser! Everyone had fun and enjoyed themselves during the week. This includes two teenage boys! If you like the outdoors or if you just like to sit next to the water and enjoy your beverage of choice then this is the place for you!!!

Ambrose Lodge

This is a fantastic property for a family get together. Had the grandkids see snow for the first time! Made snowman had a bonfire the place is awesome

Love the Ambrose Lodge

This was our second visit to the Ambrose Lodge, and we loved it just as much as the first time. The snowmobile trails were the best we have ever experienced thanks to all the snow, and we enjoyed long rides, and then cozy evenings in this beautiful home. Thank you Ed and Pam for sharing and allowing us to enjoy this place - we will be back next year for sure! Wayne and Laura Stauss

Snowmobile vacation

We have stayed at numerous places in Pittsburg, but this is by far the best! It's like staying in a winter wonderland. The house is incredibly clean when we arrive and has everything we need for the week. We've been going up 4 years in a row now in the winter. I think it's time to try it in the summer! The owner always checks in once to make sure we have everything we need can't ask for much more than that.

My Happy Place in the Great North Woods

Can't be beat for lakefront living,Luxury linens with memory foam toppers. Plenty of room for three to four couples with two and a half baths. Great kitchen setup with all the pots, dishes and stemware. The two coffee stations and four TVs accommodate everyone's individual taste. If you are looking for an upscale, lakefront experience to base your nature adventures out of, look no further than this Lodge. I can see why it has nothing but five star reviews.

Amazing as always!

This is the 6th year in a row we stay at Ambrose Lodge! We stay for 4 weeks every fall and are never disappointed in anything about this beautiful lodge! Pamela and Ed do an amazing job of taking care of this house! It is always well stocked and spotless when we arrive! It has been consistently perfect for 6 years and running! We are already booked for 2017 and always counting the days until we return to Ambose Lodge! Thank you Pamela and Ed!

Lodge on the Lake

This is a beautiful lodge with 2 levels of living in addition to a wonderful outside lawn, beach patio, beach area, dock and fire pit. The key for our perfect vacation property was to be lakefront and this fit the bill perfectly. In addition it was totally private. Beautiful views. We got on the water with kayaks and canoe and hiked a few of the nearby trails. Downside: water was too low for us to get our fishing boat into the lakes, tried several lake boat launches. But that is uncontrollable. We had a wonderful time with our Son and daughter in law and son and girlfriend. Pamela is a great host!

Big Boom for The Ambrose Lodge !

Week of the 4th of July. This was our 3rd year renting The Ambrose Lodge. We absolutely love it. The Lodge has all you need to make your vacation a rememberable one. The decor in and out is beautiful. The large lawn for outside activities was great to play lawn games. Even though the weather was rainy we still had a wonderful vacation. We rented it to early this year too enjoy the lake it was freezing. Nice fire pit for those nightly bonfires was perfect. Our fire works over the Lake were great. As you can see , we have returned year after year and we highly recommend The Ambrose Lodge .... you will NOT be disappointed. Big Thank You to Pam & Ed for letting us again have a perfect vacation.

A month at Ambrose Lodge

As I'm writing this, I find I'm having a hard time pinpointing exactly what it is about Ambrose Lodge that we love so much. There are so many great things about it. We love the seamless blend of rustic decoration and modern amenities. We love that there's ample room for activities and games, or for just cuddling up and watching a movie. We love the quiet seclusion. There's never anyone driving by, and we don't hear the trucks along route 3. All these things are wonderful, but what really makes our vacation perfect is indescribable. There's a feeling of serenity when we're out by the lake at night, with a drink in hand, surrounded by loved ones. The only sounds are the occasional loon, the crackle of the fire, and light-hearted conversation. It's peaceful beyond words. For one month a year, we rent a house, but it certainly feels an awful lot like home.

Beautiful Views

Don't hesitate to stay at the Ambrose Lodge! This was our second time staying here. The views are gorgeous. The home is well stocked and very clean. The beds and furnishings were comfortable.

Ambrose Lodge

We had a fantastic week at Ambrose Lodge. This is a lovely home in a beautiful and peaceful setting. It was everything we wanted in a vacation rental and very comfortable and spacious.The home was immaculate when we arrived . We especially appreciated the well appointed kitchen. The waterfront area is amazing. We enjoyed swimming, kayaking, boating and fires in the firepit so much that we hardly left the property all week except by boat. Loved the many visits and serenades by the loons each day. I cannot say enough about our host, Pamela. She was very helpful and communicative with great attention to detail. She has thought of everything that you will need to make your stay perfect.

Quiet Lakehouse Stay

The Ambrose Lodge was exactly what my family was looking for. A lovely, well appointed home on the lake, in a very quiet and peaceful setting. We enjoyed waking up to the calls of the loons. We kayaked, fished, swam, and hiked during the day, and enjoyed campfires in the evening. The lodge itself was decorated in cute camp décor and had everything we wanted/needed to cook for ourselves. There were also plenty of puzzles and games available in case of bad weather. We had no desire to leave the property, although we did walk to the local ice cream stand one afternoon (highly recommend moose alley cones), and we drove around a bit looking for wildlife in the evenings (we saw deer, turkeys, a fox, geese, ducks, and loons). The owner is extremely responsive to inquiries/questions. We will definitely be back!

Great home in Pittsburg. On the water in the North country. House was everything we needed. Comfortable with plenty of space. Got to see the full eclipse. We had a wonderful time. The owner took the time to make sure everything was perfect. We highly recommend this rental!

Relaxing in the Great Northwoods

Our stay at the Ambrose Lodge was everything we could have expected or hoped for.. Beautiful house in a beautiful setting. Spent mornings hiking local trails and afternoons reading by the lake. Evenings sitting on the deck watching the stars. A highlight of the trip was our visit to Green Acres Country Store! Wonderful! A fantastic vacation.. Thank You..

Beautiful property

The house is immaculate, the views were amazing. We kayaked and canoed and swam and fished and had campfires, walked to get ice cream every night. The house was huge, the kitchen has every appliance you could ever ask for and all the amenities. We only had to bring food, clothes, and beach towels! The upper deck is perfect for reading a book on. Pam was very communicative and even directed us towards where we could see moose - and we saw two! My kids were delighted! I can not WAIT to come back!

Our stay at the Ambrose Lodge was wonderful. The house is comfortable and well equipped for a relaxing vacation. Pamela is an excellent host, very accommodating and gracious. We hiked, kayaked, and saw several moose and deer in Moose Alley. We enjoyed a delicious meal at the Rainbow Grille, and treated ourselves to yummy ice cream sundaes at Moose Alley Cones! We look forward to our next visit to the Ambrose Lodge!
