We are 13 miles from Nantahala Outdoor Center for world class paddling or just enjoy the beautiful views.

Stainless steel & cast iron cookware. Shampoo, trash bags, etc. Clean house and large couch safe for babies to climb on. New wood on wrap around porch. Hiking trails to see deer and birds. 18 hole disc golf to hike down the property. Fruit bearing trees near the highway/property entrance. Step driveway but can confirm cars, mini vans, and trucks all made it up multiple times. Gas fire places inside. Host was in contact if needed. Really enjoyed our stay!

We had a great weekend with friends and family for my husband birthday. If you bring a young kids. You will want to bring a gate for the stairs that go down to the room in the basement. Overall, great weekend and views.

Peaceful Mountain Retreat

This was the perfect weekend home for a two-family trip! The kids loved the bunk room and enjoyed exploring the property, especially the trails and the pond. The front porch is perfect for morning coffee, and the back fire pit is ideal for s'mores under the stars. We spent our time rafting, zip-lining, tubing, and exploring Bryson City. Great getaway!

This house was gorgeous and worked perfect for our work trip! This house had amazing views, super close to Bryson city, and lots of land to explore! Everything was perfect! Small Family Wedding in the Mountains

Our small family wedding in the NC Mountains outside Bryson City was truly wonderful. The property was beautiful, views were stunning, and the weather was absolutely perfect. We were able to set up 20 seats in the side yard with great mountain views in the background for the ceremony, and our group dinner on the covered porch (with rented tables and chairs) made for a perfect day.

Weekend with hiking friends. Beautiful home, great views, comfy bed. Great layout for a group. Our bed in master was super comfy. Communication with owners was great. Nice people. Couldn’t get hooked up to the wifi but had data and it worked great. Had a great time!

Polar Express weekend

My husband and I took our family to the polar express. We stayed at this beautiful home. The kitchen was well stocked with everything to cook meals at home. The beds were comfortable. Our grandchildren had fun exploring the property. Only minutes to Bryson City. but very private and peaceful. The kids really enjoyed the polar express and we made some really sweet memories. Super clean and comfortable. Kitchen has everything. Extras abound with game room, pellet grill, fire pit, wrap around porches, and spectacular views. Six minutes from town yet miles from anything…magical. Highly recommend.

Great stay! Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay. Our favorite part was the "million-dollar view" from the front porch looking at the Smoky Mountains. We spent a lot of time sitting on the rocking chairs enjoying that view. The location was only 5 minutes away from Bryson City (center of town) and about 20 minutes from Cherokee. The hostess was very responsive to our questions and went out of her way to help us feel comfortable. The driveway was a little steep for our car (non 4-wheel drive); however, we were able to make it up. We recommend this place.

Perfect stay for adventures near Bryson City

Our family loves tubing at Deep Creek inBryson City. This home was the perfect location for our adventures. It is so close to Bryson City but is secluded and has room for adventuring and exploring right on the property. The owner's children made a geocache map that kept my kiddos exploring during much of our downtime. The home has so much room and was comfortable for our large family and another small family. The pool table and fire pit areas were highlights of the home. Owner and property manager were quick to address the one issue we had (nothing major, just lights we couldnt turn off). Fantastic place to stay and wonderful people to deal with.

Comfortable Stay; Amazing View

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at this property! It was the perfect fit for two large families--especially since we cooked most nights and had a range of elementary to college age kids. We loved sitting on the porch and enjoying the views at all times of the days! The last night, we were able get a spectacular look at the stars! The beds were comfortable and the house was very clean. The owner is quick to respond to questions and was very helpful! The only negative was that the driveway is steep and gravel, which made getting getting to the top in our minivans a bit tricky. (Downshifting and keeping a brisk speed was the answer.) The house is very convenient to Bryson City and tubing/hiking. We really enjoyed our week!

It almost didn’t happen, and I’m so glad it did!

Hurricane Helene hit the mountains of North Carolina a week before our arrival date. In the days leading up to our check in, the owners reported the state of roads, utilities, groceries, and gas, giving us daily updates so we could decide if it was wise to maintain or change our reservation. Our hearts are broken for the storm victims further east and we are so relieved that Bryson City was spared such devastation. The city encouraged tourism and the road were clear, so we kept our reservation. Thank goodness we did— it was an amazing trip: the house was cozy, location convenient, and views stunning. I cannot say enough in gratitude to the owners who were attentive and helpful leading up to and throughout the trip. Thank you!

Family Vacation

This house was perfect for our family of 10. We had 5 adults and 5 children. The downstairs was ideal for our group. Plenty of beds for our grandkids. They loved having a light to use in their bunk and a place to charge their devices. The Foosball table was a huge hit and so was having an adjoining TV room for them to watch movies on. We all enjoyed the fire pit available to us. We roasted hotdogs and marshmallows with the telescoping roasting sticks, provided by the homeowner. The grill/smoker that’s provided is great. We had the best barbecue chicken thighs and ribs using the smoker/grill. We had a fun, relaxing vacation. The views are amazing from the porches and there are plenty of rocking chairs to sit on and relax. I highly recommend this vacation home. The owner was very helpful and responded right away with my questions.

The rental was dirty and in disrepair. We had to fix the toilet. Dishwasher broken. The oven smoked and was filled with grease. Spiders on the ceiling, bugs in the beds, Stinkbugs all over the curtains. The driveway was filled with ruts and gullies and almost impassable until owner finally had it scraped on the third day. View was very nice but 3 of the 6 porch rockers were broken. Threre was not enough appropriate furniture - in the living room there no end tables or coffee tables or lamps. Just mainly a worn saggy couch 20 ft from the TV. Worst of all was the false description of the grounds. There was nothing but a tiny dried up creek and no waterfall. A very short steep trail led to an RV park and a construction site - nothing natural or scenic. This part was so dissapointing because the main reason we rented this place was to have outdoor areas for our young children to explore so that we wouldn't have to always leave the property to hike and enjoy nature. The owner did send a cleaner over to clean out the spiders and bugs but it was still gross. Oven never quit smoking. In the listing there was a photo of an espresso maker in the kitchen. It was not there when we arrived, and owner claimed no knowledge of it. I understand that this owner lives out of state and so must not keep up with the property. I have never stayed in any rental this problematic and falsely advertised before. I've attached a photo of bugs found between sheets in bed.

Oh Stephanie, We addressed any and all Of your concerns immediately. We arranged the following. 1. A Plummer. You refused and stated there was no issue 2. Immediately had driveway box bladed (smoothed out) even though it had just been completed . We hesitated on this as you reported the driveway was too close to the house and would be inconvenient if we had someone check it. You also made it up and down the driveway. 3. We arranged for our cleaning team to return immediately. Yes the oven smoked and yes she took care of it swiftly per your response. 4. Your family broke the dishwasher which was easily remedied by moving a piece back in place. You notified me of this after you departed. We fixed it in less than a minute. It is a Miele dishwasher and is less than a year old. 5. We have 47 gorgeous acres that prior to you all of our guests have loved and appreciated. There are trails throughout the property which you chose not to explore. I do not know what you refer to when you wrote “construction site” We do not have any construction happening on our property so I have no idea what you were referring to. Our trails loop around our property throughout with numerous creeks and small waterfalls as described. 6. You messaged and complained that the creeks did not have enough water. I let you know we were so sorry and do not have control over the water flow of the mountain We offered to buy you breakfast. We provided an abundant supply of coffee. We have the following coffee makers at your disposal 1. Keurig 2. Nespresso machine 3. French press 4. Auto drip coffee maker 5. Coffee grinder Our furnishings are High end leather couches as well as solid wood beautiful mostly hand made furniture. We have a management team, cleaning professional and a close neighbor that ensure our home is well taken care of as well as the fact that we are there often. We could not have pleased you no matter what we did. I responded immediately and took swift and over the top measures to address any and all of your concerns. VRBO also agreed with our response to you and took no action other than to support the measures taken to better help you. The house is as pictured in VRBO We have had guests after your departure who have been VERY pleased . Wonderful mountain getaway for a good-sized family, away from crowds

We really enjoyed our time at this house. We had 7 adults and 7 kids in our group (ages 4-12). The kids really enjoyed having the bunk room to sleep in, so they could all be together. The three separate bedrooms were also set up very nicely. The views from the wraparound porch and property are stunning. We loved having all the rocking chairs out on the porch, and most of the adults ate our meals out there, enjoying the weather and the views. The property was great with its trails and paths. The kids all enjoyed hiking down around the creek and the pond, looking for salamanders and for things in the creek. Once we found the geocache map set up by the owners' children, our kids had a great time trying to find the caches around the property (and it was helpful for knowing the size of the property and boundaries). The whole house was clean and well-organized. There were linens for all the beds and extras in the laundry area. The bathrooms were also well-stocked with towels and soap and even had shampoo/conditioner available in the showers. We used the kitchen quite a bit, and it had most of the dishes/utensils we needed without having to bring along much, and there was plenty of space for storing our food while we were there. It's also well-located, so we were able to find some good nearby hikes (Deep Creek Trail, Alarka Creek Trail) that we really enjoyed without having to drive very far. Overall, it was a really enjoyable stay, and I think the whole family was happy with the rental.

We have been coming to NC for 25 years and this property is everything we have been looking for. Location, location, location !
