Perfect for our Vacation
Very quiet and cute country house. Love the two living room areas. Great bedrooms, we didn't use all the bunk beds, but if you needed to that would be awesome. I wish there were 2 showers, but we made due. Fire pit is a great idea and plenty of room for outdoor games.

End of the Road Peace
This old farmhouse at the end of the road was exactly what we needed. Peaceful, with room for the kids to run outside. Plenty of room inside for everyone to be comfortable. Room for the kids to play with their inside toys. With one bedroom on the main floor and three upstairs, there was room for everyone, and my mom didn't need to climb any stairs. Especially enjoyed the screen porch with rocking chairs and the firepit. Bridgette was quick to address any questions or concerns we had. Check-in and out was easy. Would stay here again.

Welcome to the Homestead at Horn's Acres. It has been my dream since I was a little girl to own this home. I am so excited to be sharing it with you. I am a fifth generation Horn to be living and working on our families century farm. I was raised right here on the farm. My husband I are so grateful to now be raising our children here as well. I attended Pillager school from Kindergarten through graduation. I deeply love this area because I am deeply rooted here.

We currently raise Hereford cattle, chickens, and horses.

Why they chose this property

I have lived on our family farm since I was 6. I grew up a little more feral and adventurous here in these woods and open fields. I remember driving a tractor through our fields and dreaming of the day I could own one of the original last standing buildings of the early 20th century in our area. When this home came up for sale in 2021, my husband and I leaped at the chance to purchase it. This home is near and dear to me because it was built by my great great grandparents in 1926. My grandparents raised 12 boys and one girl in this house! This land is deeply rooted in my heritage. I am so blessed to be able to share it with you.

What makes this property unique

I invite you to take a step back in time. When you stay here I hope you are transported back in time to a place where things ran a little slower. Enjoy a drink on the three season porch. Relax and listen to the birds flutter about. Watch the squirrels rustle and frolic in the trees and forest. If you sit patiently long enough you will enjoy whitetail deer each morning and evening on the alfalfa fields to the south and west. You may even get lucky enough to see a Minnesota Black bear run through the field. It is very common to see turkeys. They often like to roam through the front yard. Look off into the distance and you will see Horseshoe pond. Native waterfowl enjoy this peaceful water front.

The home is located on our working family farm. Some of our horses are pastured next to the yard. Please do not attempt to pet or harass them. During the haying season you will see us off in the fields putting up the hay for our animals.

The home boasts a large front yard with a fire ring and bbq smoker. Yard is big enough for games and small celebrations.
