This property is absolutely beautiful! My family stayed at Bumblebee Cottage to celebrate my son’s graduation from UCF. We only left for the commencement ceremony and to buy food. Everything about our stay was nothing but spectacular. Lauren was so helpful and answered any questions that we had very fast.
We enjoyed everything about our stay at the Sorrento house and would highly recommend it to anyone. You have your own private doc and yard, kayaks at your disposal and you cannot beat it's location. The water was beautiful, we enjoyed seeing all the wildlife ( gator from the kayak, bear on the backyard, otter and manatee in the spring). and wish we could have stayed longer. Close to all hot springs(good snorkeling),kennedy space center(1h drive) Universal studio(40 min)Kings landing kayaking or paddleboarding and tubing in Kelly Park - Rock Springs.good biking in Seminole State Forest.
Definitely will be back, it's truly a gem.
What a lovely home! We spent most of the time out on the back porch enjoying the view of the large, private back yard and river. Beds were comfy, home was clean, and relatively quiet. Everything worked with no issues.
We did take advantage of the canoe and kayak and paddled a few miles up river. We also visited the local parks.
From the porch we watched a pair of red shouldered hawks hunting lizards, met an armadillo, saw a sparrow tailed kite, and in town a pair of osprey nesting.
What a beautiful property inside and out! LOVE the nature and beautiful setting! We were pleasantly surprised several times with deer walking through the yard as well as an occasional raccoon and hawks. It is a comfortable and beautifully decorated, well equipped home anyone would enjoy! This owner is attentive to your needs and gives you high end accommodations. The back porch and yard overlooking the river is an extremely comfortable place to unwind and relax with morning coffee or your favorite wine. Our family had a wonderful week both in this home and exploring the area. Highly recommend this property!
This was a beautiful, clean and all newly remodeled home, right on the water. We visited a few of the springs nearby and the best part for us was the fishing right off the dock out back. We caught all kinds of fish, enjoyed the fire pit and grill and family game nights on the porch. We didn’t take advantage of the kayaks on site, but we saw other people enjoying the river with theirs. The home has everything you need for cooking, laundry, etc, we could even park in the garage, which was so convenient. The neighborhood was very quite and all the neighbors we saw were very nice. Lauren was so sweet and accommodating, the perfect hostess. We would definitely recommend her home if you are in the area.
We came for a baseball tournament, and wanted a house that we could enjoy while not at the ball fields. This was it! We loved the screened in porch to relax. We kayaked and canoed. We fished off the dock. Caught several! Saw a manatee and even had a black bear sighting. The house was perfect. Very clean and had everything we needed. The host was amazing and answered all of my questions and gave great recommendations of things to do and places to eat. We will be back for the next baseball tournament and will definitely stay here again! FYI… it was 30 easy minutes to the Boombah baseball facility.
We had a wonderful stay here, it felt like we were away from it all and we were! The home was so clean and peaceful. Check in and check out was simple and Lauren was available if we needed her! We received the best rest here! We spent leisure time on the screened in patio which was so inviting. We enjoyed watching all the wildlife venturing through the backyard. From hawks, to a doe and her two fawns. The trees in the yards were so magical and beautiful. We loved using the kayak on the Wekiva river. We saw multiple turtles and two 10-12 ft alligators too! We also did a clear kayak tour at kings landing nearby one day and felt like we were in the jungle! Everything about this trip was amazing and we would love to stay here again. Thank you Lauren for letting us enjoy your lovely home!
We had a wonderful stay!! Pictures don't do the property any justice. The decor gave off a country, cozy feel with a hint of modern vibe. The backyard view and patio just gave off a serene feeling. There were the typical kitchen essentials such as pots, pans, plates, utensils, etc. There was plenty of towels and extra toilet paper. Everything down to the small accessories were carefully thought out such as the floaties keychain for your keys if you wanted to go out on the water to the outdoor dining essentials and kid's dinnerware. The host was also reachable so communication was never an issue. Check-in was extremely easy, just punch in the code. We were also able to park in the garage which was great. We had a soccer tournament at Seminole Soccer Complex which was about 10 minutes away. We were a family of 6 with 4 boys between the ages of 2-10. We would recommend this property if you're looking in the area.
Recently had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage in a very quiet area. Definitely what they call Rustic Chic.
I regularly use VRBO 8+ times per year and usually the pictures for each property are angled in a way to make the property look as good as possible and hide flaws.
Not here! Every picture is flattering, but that's also the way it looks in real life.
The house was clean and well equipped (no massive pile of mismatched pots and pans that look like they were bought in the 70's and not cleaned since.)
The bedrooms are spacious with extra bedding and pillows.
Bathrooms are state of the art and well stocked.
Living room is comfortable with many options to entertain yourself.
Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook, I especially loved the larger fridge.
Outside area was the highlight for me!
Two large comfortable seating areas and a dining table, all enclosed in the lanai.
Short walk down to the water where there's another dining table.
Only complaint is the sign that warns of potential snakes and alligators was half way down the path. Feels like a beginning of the path kind of thing.
Wifi worked very well whole time we were there.
Everything was super quiet and peaceful the whole time we were there.
Was able to read a book and drink a cup of coffee in quiet bliss.
Highly recommend!
We stayed in the bumblebee Cottage for an extended period during home renovations. It was a great home away from home! Comfortable, well furnished and stocked, great view of the river in a peaceful, quiet area
We loved everything about this cozy house. The view from the porch was very serene. The family enjoyed fishing over the dock for hours. The fire pit was lovely to roast marshmallows at night and enjoy a peaceful family time. We loved this property so much that we will be back soon. Priceless memories!
