Beach Breezes and Relaxation

The four of us (two couples) thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at this rental. It is in a convenient location and is very clean and lovely. The best part, for us, was the expansive deck with comfortable furniture. We sat there each morning and evening, after a day of sightseeing or snorkeling, and ate, drank, and relaxed. Inside the apartment it is also lovely and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we also appreciated the various items that added convenience to our stay: the shopping bags for the grocery store, giant drying rack for our swim gear, and the beach chairs. The rental agent was very responsive and helpful. I noticed that a previous tenant complained about the lack of air conditioning in the main room. We did not find this to be an issue at all! The ocean breezes are cool and constant, and we opened the doors and turned on the ceiling fans to help circulate the air. (Our one suggestion to future renters is to bring bug repellent and wear it constantly.) We were very comfortable at the Windsock Kas Salty, and we took advantage of the beautiful Beach Club.

Review of Kas Salty and Sunwise MGT

First and foremost the property was beautiful. The inside of the condo was decorated beautifully. The beds were comfy, bathrooms were spotless and kitchen was perfect and had every thing we needed. The extras were really nice to such as beach chairs and beach towels. The only issue I had was that there was no air conditioning in the Living Space. This was problematic for my husband and I. The bedrooms are separated by a large outdoor courtyard so that the AC could not spill over into the the living space. The ad read Air Conditioning under amenities but did not have a ** denoting only in bedrooms. When I had called from the rental car, as instructed by Sunwise Mgt, they mentioned that they were busy helping at another property and the key was left outside the door. We were fine with that as I knew the property and the unit number. Upon arrival we found the front door wide open along with all of the doors to the patio open and no one at the property. We brought our luggage in and quickly noticed that the living space was so hot and humid and realized that there was no AC. By leaving all the doors open we had a tremendous amount of mosquitos and "no-see ums in the unit. Due to all the rain and no wind on the island at that time it made for a very uncomfortable setting! Simon our contact did arrive shortly after we did and did tell me that he did not agree with my understanding of the AC situation. I did get pretty heated and was so upset at the situation. They tried to help us find a solution by moving us but wanted to only refund us a small portion of the money I had paid to find another accommodation. I did try to reach the owners of Sunwise and was told I could only speak to my local contact. We stayed in the unit and they did bring us another fan a day or so later. Just beware that there is not AC in Living space and opening doors and windows in not an option as there are not any screens. Overall the Unit is beautiful and the property is great!
