New House that sits on nearly a half acre/1800 square meters of beautiful land and has over 900 SqFt./ 85 SqMtrs. of living space! It has an open concept feel with the upstairs having 2 lofts adjoined by a bridge. One loft has veranda and curtains overlooking the front of the property (My personal favorite). A one of a kind! The house has a large kitchen and 2 built in bar surfaces(Also bar stools)...one of which hangs half inside and half outside to enjoy your drinks and food on the deck. living room has new 40 inch flat screen Sony TV along with fiber internet and cable for those who want to get work done or just hang inside. Outside shower is large enough to change and rinse off the sand when you return from your walk to the white sands beach in town. Indoor bathroom has heated shower. Large laundry room to wash clothes. Woodwork in the house is GORGEOUS! Garden has papaya, coconut, soursop, etc. You will also randomly see monkeys passing through the tree. Come enjoy this beautiful piece of Paradise!

Beautiful location!

The home is so unique and beautiful, the trees around the yard brought Iguanas, monkeys and even a sloth came to visit us. It was a magical stay for us and our two young boys.

This home is a little gem very comfortable easy to find and it’s in a great part of Costa Rica, when you go there you are in a real life Costa Rican living ,restaurant are all good ,beaches are just great lots of local not too touristy, very friendly community…. If you know Spanish it helps … some kind of transportation also helps …. We had a car so we visited so many things lots to do, we had a great time and will do it again Host Darrell is amazing to deal with and manager Nando is very helpful we have no regrets

Good Short Term Rental

The house itself is very cool. They layout, design and materials used to build this house are great. We were amazed that no bugs ever came in considering there are no glass windows or screens (just open air windows with wood shutters). When you have all the shutters open you really feel like you’re connected to the nature outside. No air conditioners here if you need that comfort, hence the reason for my review title. That being said it was very warm in the house. If you’re not used to the heat, sleeping could take some getting used to. We actually moved the mattress from upstairs into the living room downstairs and also used the air mattress while we were there to sleep on the cooler level of the house. The property is not in the main section of Cahuita, which was a plus to me. We like to be just outside of the busy areas we visit. It was a bit close to a main road which meant you can sometimes hear loud trucks once in a while. This actually bothered the howler monkeys in the neighborhood more than us. Yes I said howler monkeys. A family of them took up residence in a tree next to the house. It was actually really fun to hear and watch them, especially for my two daughters (11 & 9 ). Overall the neighborhood is very quiet and felt safe. The house was super clean upon arrival and had the basic necessities for our stay. Things we would add: a toaster or toaster oven, a dryer for clothes, better water pressure for shower and drinking water (the tap tasted like copper).
